Unlikely to reach me again, but I'd rather have something prepared than discover it's been my turn for 8 hours when I'm next able to respond. :)
Seeking to cut down the roach to allow Horgus to flee (if that's his decision) or at the very least allow her more agile companions the space required to maneuver to aid him, Ary will take another swing at the roach, seeking to dismember it.
Attack Sword @Roach2: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Confirm?: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Once that is done, she'll shift to the top-right square, allowing her companions who seem better suited for killing things to get into melee... or at least providing the mages the space they need to retreat.

Totally forgot about the crit tables last night, I'll blame it on being tired :p
Poor roach got hit with the ugly stick.

Li'an gave him schooling in the only way she knew: The modern education system. Robbed of all personality and individualism the roach did the only thing it knew how to do: catatonia.

For the sake of speeding up the other two kicking the roach until it's dead:
While the bug stands where it is, Ary will just stand vigil amidst the others, in order to ensure if it does fly out, it doesn't wind up in the middle of all the mages again. :P
So... Hold action, for now, and that changes if the beetle leaves where it is.
Li'an Va'ardalia
Gotta call it a night. If for some reason the fight drags on another round, doing the same thing. Here's a roll:
Attack(Hit/Damage): 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 4 + 2 = 71d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (1) + (5) = 6
Also, only K. Arcana for Markus/Aravashnial chatting, or would spellcraft work as well?
Hrut Ingvarson
Should another battle break out:
Move to an advantageous spot, use stance, if 1 move use Flurry strike, if needing more movement charge if able or double move, I am not afraid of AoO if I can get into a good location, dont forget my +1AC to those within 10'.
Attack Axe: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Damage: 1d8 + 4 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) + 4 + (2) = 8 +2 damage more if flurry
Attack Shield: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
Damage: 1d4 + 5 + 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 5 + (3) + 2 = 11
Li'an Va'ardalia
Ok, now really off to sleep :P
Ary Bishop
I'm also gonna head off to sleep. I feel secure in doing so and not needing to roll anything just now... I'll likely be up in under eight hours again, anyway. Sweet dreams, all :p

The one skill pertinent to hunting demons, and none of our crusaders took it? ;P
Valaria Alazario
Wow. Can't believe we didn't think of that.

That is a bit surprising, although we don't have an int-based caster or a bard. Those would usually be the ones picking it up.
Worst case Li'an could pick it up at 4th level by taking a bonus to Int instead of Dex. Just point her at a library and she can start studying :p
Edit: In a magical world where feats grew on trees, Li'an would totally have taken Breadth of Experience for the untrained knowledge checks at +2.
Valaria Alazario
I wouldn't mind that world. Then I could VMC into bard without being bad at fighting.
Ary Bishop
Oh, I planned to pick it up. I just couldn't afford everything, so 'learning on the job' seemed more apt. Plus, like you said, she already has the ability to do it 'kind of' without the points. :) I'd also like to be able to jump, but that wasn't something I could afford, either ;)
Edit: Also, thanks to Markus, it's gonna be a class skill, now :p
Markus Coffinborn
It's not a class skill for Markus - If I ever prestige into something that has it, that's the only time I'd be taking it.
Ehren Ferron
Hm. Should I roll Lore (menhir) before saying anything more specific about the ley lines in the future? Mostly going off the archetype description for now, but I don't want to sound like I'm making stuff up as I go along. :P
Hrut Ingvarson
If we were to consider taking the extra traits feat would you want us to RP that out before or how would you want to handle that?
Valaria Alazario
Actually, would it be too late to VMC into Bard? I think I might have a build that I can make work with less feats. Hopefully.

If anyone sees something obviously a bad idea with this, please mention it. VMC in Bard seems to fit Valaria really well, so I'm trying to see if I could make it work.
Edit: Think it's fixed now. Iffy feats or feats I'm not sure what level I'd take them at are marked now too.
Hrut Ingvarson
It would make you an amateur story teller as advertised ;)
Ary Bishop
I'm not seeing point blank or precise shot from normal feats. And I think point blank is a prereq for a few of the things you're taking. :(

I'm fine with it. Let me know when you've arrived at a final decision :]
Ehren Ferron
Shame monk is a crappy pick for VMC. That 3rd level "class feature" is a joke. Wisdom to AC would be helpful for getting rid of this encumbrance. :P
Valaria Alazario
Whoops. Edited out an important feat when I was reordering things. *blush*
Got Point-Blank back in there using a mythic feat to get a mundane bonus feat. May just drop Snap Shot and Improved Snap Shot and move Two-weapon Rend down a bit. That would get me some things earlier.
Li'an Va'ardalia
I say go for it!
Speaking of the build, do you need Double Slice and Two-Weapon Rend? Do they affect thrown weapons, or just picking them up for when in melee?
Ehren: Yeah, the monk VMC is definitely one of the really weak ones. Give up armor and get nothing in return until level 15 or so. By RAW, you can't even use it to get monk unarmed damage scaling while wearing armor, as it says you lose all the features if you wear any.
Maybe a Kensai Magus could put it to use. You don't care about armor, and you'd pick up Evasion and Improved Evasion, along with Ki pool which you could combine with your Arcane pool via the corresponding magus arcana.
Ary Bishop
Monk would be good if not for the caveat of 'can't wear armor at all'. If you could wear light armor and get all of those benefits, I can think of several reasons to go that route (not least of which being domain strike with benefits). Also... evasion. <3
Valaria Alazario
Don't effect throwing as far as I know. I'm mainly getting them for when I'm in melee. I have them marked as iffy because I'm not sure if I really want them or not.
Actually, that leads to a question. I'm fully expecting a no on this, but does Mythic Weapon Finesse work on throwing weapons or is it melee only?
And yeah, I'm gonna do this I think. I like the idea too much not to.

Ary's actions will depend on Horgus a bit. If he doesn't heed what she says...
Bluff: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21 :|
"Does anyone else hear more giant cockroaches?"
She'll say as she moves forward, leaving a space for Horgus to remain safe.
Likewise, if Aravashnial is left behind, she'll help him along once more.
She'll leave space between herself and the snakes to guard their flank once more. And be a very sad Ranger of Iomedae. :P

Gonna say weapon finesse is melee only.
Okie dokie. Update your char sheet :>

Figured as much, but I had to ask. Still a great feat though.
Already done :) Not much to add other than the new class label until 3rd level anyway.

Flurry Strike
Hrut takes a double swing at his foe, slicing high with his axe and pounding low with his shield.
"This seems to be working out better, I am glad these snakes do not fly!"
Attack#2 Axe: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 5 + 2 = 13
Attack#2 Shield: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 5 + 2 = 19
Damage Axe: 1d8 + 4 + 2 + 1d6 ⇒ (3) + 4 + 2 + (5) = 14
Damage Shield: 1d4 + 5 + 2 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) + 5 + 2 + (2) = 11

I just wanna let you know that summon monster has a 1 round casting time, which means he doesn't get to move (except for a 5-ft-step) and the spell only finishes at the beginning of his next turn.
I'd love it if it wasn't true this time, but I felt compelled to remind you of the rules.

Tis the season to be busy.
My job picks up when school is out. I'm going to be a bit more busy for a while. This won't really affect whether or not I -do- post in threads, just the speed at which I do. Some days, I won't be able to really get posts in at work, other days it won't be very bad. Today is likely to be one of those days where I'll either post around noon, or not at all until I'm home.
I should still be highly responsive, just not nearly as responsive as you may be used to. :)

If it looks like Ary will be holding up action today, then hold her action instead. Most probably, unless we're attacked from the rear, it's safe to assume that Ary will simply play rearguard... and then mess with Horgus's ego a bit, via more compliment sandwiches. :P
See everyone soon.

I'll hold my action this turn. If someone wants Markus to do something, they should call for it.

Working late today, then pretty much heading straight to RP. If anyone needs anything at all (especially the NPCs), Ary will help out. If anyone rolls in anything she's trained in, she'll attempt to aid them in it, as well... if she's able. As we near the end of the day, there are 49 dogs and 5 cats to take care of.
There will be two more cats and 21 more dogs at the end of tomorrow. :P
End of the school year and memorial day weekend have aligned to create a wall of fur and flesh. XD
Hrut Ingvarson
My first thought is I wonder what a wet wall of fur and flesh smells like... hmm
Li'an Va'ardalia
If it smells anything like wet dog... ugh.
Ary Bishop
Home. And exhausted. It mostly doesn't smell... we work really hard on that, though it can. I've become very desensitized since I've worked there for 8 years. It can get pretty smelly, though. Whenever it rains, they all go a little nuts in whatever fashion they so choose.
Ary Bishop
Left thumb nommed on by a dog. So... afternoon post will likely be delayed as I travel to a clinic after my shift (we're too busy for me to feel right leaving my coworker hanging.)
Li'an Va'ardalia
D'oh, hope it's not too bad!

It's not. Deep, but only one tooth went in, the other grazed. The dog twisted, though.
The best parts are the ironies:
They were supposed to pick up yesterday, but called, and I told them this morning would be fine.
They picked up literally five minutes after the bite happened.
