By the way folks, I plan on growing a new 'Nigel.' I may try out a familiar archetype.
Sage would cover the gaps in Drokk's knowledge skills.
Mascot can speak with the whole team and gets the "Share Spells" and "Deliver Touch Spells" features with/for the whole team.
Mauler makes him a combat buddy, although I think the archetype is weak.
Any opinions from fellow Hellknights?
One additional consideration is that there is a fun level 4 alchemist extract called "Duplicate Familiar", which for 10 mins per level makes a copy of your familiar. It would have been quite broken if Tumour-Protectors were still allowed. I won't get that extract till I hit level 11, thanks to my Fighter dip, but it was one I was considering using.

I too have not being convinced on the Mauler.
I support Sage.

Karzug worry about losing new Nigel like old Nigel. That make Doc-tor very sad. Not want Doc-tor be sad.
I have been thinking about retraining the discovery, but I think the Doctor likes having a little assistant. He doesn't really have many friends.
Another option is Decoy. Decoy has an amazing ability at level 11, Drokk wouldn't get this till level 12, and I had planned to take Master Chymist for any Seeker levels (i.e. Fighter 1 / Alchemist 10 / Master Chymist x), but I'm having second thoughts about the prestige class. It would be great for mutagen stuff, and is full BAB, but I'd lose a lot too - a few levels extract caster level and progression, and effective alchemist level for Enhance Potion and other discoveries.
I'm not quite sure how Master's Guise should be adjudicated either - does it copy equipment at all?
I'm seriously tempted by Decoy now. With the Duplicate Familiar extract it could mean 3 Drokks, even though 2 of them would effectively be non-combatants.
Sage is more immediately useful, but if I do go Seeker then Decoy would be worth it. I'm planning to put off Master Chymist levels till after Alchemist 14.

I will be 'in field' with work from 01-05 Apr and will have patchy comms during this time (as I will be in the middle of nowhere) but should still be able to post intermittently. I will give a reminder closer to the date. There is always the danger that I can't access mobile network reception though due to remoteness.
