Please post with your PFS#, Faction, Day Job roll, and any notes or equipment purchases you would like to show on your chronicle at the end.
Also, if you are using the faction cards, just make a note here if you think you completed a goal and need it approved. (Most don't need approval, per se, but sometimes there are questions about qualification - like if a certain NPC is a known slaver, for instance).
Then jump over to Gameplay and have your character introduce themselves to the group.

Aw man! I just spit water out my nose when I saw Profession (criminal).
GM Fuzzfoot |
Yeah! That's everyone!
Will post intro soon.

Welcome all - some of you I recognize from previous games, others I think I may be meeting for the first time. My name is P.J. (aka PJP). I generally only play by post due to a crazy schedule of driving kids (2) around to their various events and practices. My day job is in software solutions, so I am often online to check in and update. I have only been playing Pathfinder for about a year, but used to play AD&D in my youth, and even some 3.0/3.5 for a while. It is interesting to see where the game has gone.
This is my 4th outing as a GM in PFS - I have run only season 6 episodes before now, but even though this is season 0, it appears to have already been updated (except for the old faction missions, which I am essentially ignoring because the secondary objective is now a single one for the group).
Since this is Core (my preference, actually), I am assuming most of you have probably played this in the past as an original PFS game. Feel free to chime in with whether or not you have. Generally, I will stick close to the actual planned experience - but occasionally these modules do have some options.
I do like to maintain a good pace, but hate to leave anyone out. If you will be travelling or taking finals or something that might pull you away for a few days, it is no problem - just give us a heads-up. If I see the action waning due to someone not posting, I will generally just let them catch-up later, or pick what I think they would do given their character performance to date. I will usually avoid using up any costly consumables in this case, however, deferring more to reusable weapons or spells. So if you want me to bot you AND use charges, vials, etc., make sure you give permission before your hiatus.
I hope everyone can post at least once a day, but if you can't and feel like things are moving to fast, just drop me a line. I am VERY open to constructive criticism since I am still new to this and learning plenty! Non-constructive criticism is usually just met with sarcastic wit, so if you feel you must, go right ahead. :)
I hope you have a great time, this is a pretty entertaining scenario, and let me know if I can do anything to make the journey more comfortable.

I've played this scenario in 2011 and GM it in 2012 :P
As for me, I'm playing Pathfinder since its beta, I'm the VL for Paris, France (so I may write something strange from time to time).
I'm working also in IT so I'm often online except on the week-end.

I've played Mists of the Mwangi in Standard PFS, though not run it. And I also played Wounded Wisp with Fuzzfoot as the DM a few weeks back (also a pbp).
I can usually post a few times a day on the weekdays, though usually not at all over the weekends (kiddos and family stuff).

Greetings P.J.!
Hrothdane is the handle I use for the Paizo site/forums, and for...just about everything else, too, but you can also call me Ethan. I've only been playing Pathfinder for a little longer than you, actually. I've played/run a lot of PFS during that time, including this scenario in normal mode (which I played at least a year ago I think).
I'm in school right now, so I can generally post once a day at least, but my schedule fluctuates depending on my assignment schedule. I will be at a convention all weekend, so I probably won't be posting then.
Althera |
I'm Derek. This is the beginning of my third year of playing PFS and Pathfinder. I'm pretty active on PbP due to having young kids too.
Althera is one of only 2 female characters of mine, both still first level. I don't like to play female chars at the table much, but find it's not so immersion breaking in PbP.
That said, I won't likely do much along the flirtation/romance angle, but Althera isn't cold either.

FYI - the scroll could have been used to remove the mist effects from any person as a scroll. Had a bard used it, it was re-usable by using the bard's performance skills.
You will be receiving 2 prestige because at least 2 of the 3 staff and Nigel all survived. I wasn't sure you were going to make it... :)

Ok, all - you can check out your chronicles >>here<<.
Please let me know if anything looks off - especially the numbers. I want to get this reported tomorrow if I can.
Just let me know if you need any purchases or anything added.
GM Fuzzfoot |
Thanks - also, you had a lot of purchases on your first post - want me to include those?
Kayde Morson |
Okay, I'm sorry for the confusion, GM Fuzzfoot. Those purchases were from the original 150g. So I'm fine if they're tracked the way you have them, but can you put 150G into the starting gold box and re-calculate to factor that in?
Sorry for the misunderstanding.

OK - try again now. (Sorry - Comcast is down, so had to tether to my phone... slowing me down a bit)
