That doesn't make any sense to me, either a character would recognize the creature based on the mechanics of a knowledge checks. It wouldn't be: Gosh is it a mammal, nope. Maybe it's a reptile, nope. Maybe it's a bird, nope....

Either a character would know or wouldn't. Knowledge checks don't take an action, so he should be able to do every single trained knowledge check in that split second and use his bane if able. If not the bane (a main part of the class) becomes useless.

Without a map, I'm not sure where to go. I would like to move away from the fiery aura singing me, and I would also like to flank if possible. Is there a spot I can do that without incurring an AoO?

I think the campaign is just getting good! You've been more active and progressing the story in ways I didn't forsee! Keep it high-powered. For one thing, I've never had a character encounter a nymph before! This is uncharted territory!!

This is Jean.

So random question, I was looking at what account to use and saw Kazko from a previous game you ran. Could I bring Kazko in? Playing a Cave Troll sounds like silly fun.

I would need to change the gestalt to a level 2 barbarian instead to reach the 6 hit dice. If not, I will go with an Oread Zen Archer. I have that build pretty much finished but I had the random desire about asking to bring in my old version of Kazko before I overwrote him with a zen archer.

Hit Points if I am the Zen Archer: 5d8 ⇒ (5, 4, 5, 2, 8) = 24
