My twist to it. I wanted the villains to be powerful, and I wanted to have the angle where everyone is a follower of Asmodeus already.

Is it just me or is it funny to refer to the heroes of Talingarde as the villains?

Villainism is all in the eye of the beholder. Thinking of which, do you think the King will have them check that big crate containing a beholder that I send him right before getting caught.

Surprise! LOL...

Villainism? You mean, villainy, right? Or do you like to diplomatize as well? ;)

Bah - Villainy is how others less adept at your area of expertise view you. Villianism is more of a style, a way of life.

What are you? - A villain.
What do you do all day? Commit villainy.
What is your moral code based upon? Villainism, I like to commit crimes without a care in the world as to how they affect others.

Ah, the joys of English. You can stick pretty much any set of letters together and call it a word. Otherwise we would have much more difficulty googling things and twitting about what we had just googled.

After all, there is a road in California named Zzyzx road. If they can name a road Zzyzx, I should be able to say I specialize in Villainism.

Tirion if you sent a behoulder to the king in a pathfinder game, you might find the worst villians of them all Lawyers!

On another note I'll make the offer again - if anyone uses Hero Lab and wants the Way of the Wicked traits or a custom gestalt class built let me know. I know that using a character generator helps me with record keeping. I finished gestalting my sorc/antipaladin and I have some extra time on my hands so I'm ready to help others if they want, even if I don't get selected (but of course I hope I do!).

The only limitation Hero Lab seems to have when doing this is when you have two classes with spell lists. You have to choose one spellcasting class. The other spell list you have to track seperately.

Actually there's a whole town (AND a road) called Zzyzx in California :)

*crosses fingers* This is going to be one awesome AP. Goodluck all.

Yup - and some guy made up the name in the 40's because he wanted his town to have the last name in the alphabet.

____________

Regarding the beholder - that is why the King would be so surprised to receive one.

Why on earth would you waste a perfectly good beholder on a king! The king should be your puppet if you can manage it, not dead!

How villainous!

Good luck all.

and Thank you GM Blood for the opportunity

With the incoming snow and one of my player's sister getting pneumonia, I cancelled my game tonight and there may be a good chance I don't get to work tomorrow so I am starting to get through my review and may be done sooner then expected. Good job so far everyone!

Woot!

Thats what you get for living in cheese head land.

yep my parrents are in West Virginia and expecting around 18inches of snow. I live in Florida :)

We were supposed to have a great amount of snow. Last night all the schools preemptively canceled school today. As of this morning, we had a little less than a dusting. Stupid schools. I think we should rename our country "Call Wolf".

I was supposed to drive for about 3 hours for business. Not happening right now, roads closed.

No snow where I live on the Eastcoast as of yet, though the weathermen are warning of it. I can't really trust a weather prediction. They always make it seem like the storm of the century. Unfortunately, sometimes it is...

Ah, the life of a meteorologist. You get paid to guess the weather, and when you are wrong, which is most of the time, nobody cares.

Here in Seattle it has been rather mild. Either cold or precipitation, but not both at the same time. My daughter lives half an hour away in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains though and has had snow a couple of times in the past few weeks.

Nice and sunny in Miami! :)

They canceled school for both of my kids today. Nothing was happening this morning, but it was supposed to be ridiculous by the time my son got out of HS. My wife teaches at that HS, and the consensus among her coworkers was that the makeup day had better be the day after Easter. Otherwise they're going to have to come back to give a couple of finals the day after Memorial Day (last Monday in May, for non-USans in the thread), which would be something of a disruption.

yeah it would have been easy to get to work today, not so much getting back. I've cleared the driveway three times already

haha... from overcast, but not raining, so calif, I laugh at your snow and ice...

Today has been a perfectly sunny day here, like yesterday. It was nice for a change, especially since I know it won't last, not even for the rest of the week.

So far so good for me. Morning was a cakewalk with the dusting. Kiddies liking the day off. First since we moved from Tennessee where I think they got about 5 snow days every winter we were there. Just splashed through the slush puddles to the train. We'll see how that last mile goes. It's been coming down hard since late morning.

Made good progress today. Still some things to ponder over. Expect to hear something from me soon!

So much good, so little time to corrupt.

Its funny im in aus so ill wake up and check and there will be new posts. But all day you americans are sleeping so I wait.

Evil will wait... for a time. The right time

Snow finally hit here in Richmond, VA. Too late in the morning to close work, but the schools all closed. Fortunately, my son's daycare is still open, but if the snow keeps up we'll be returning home early today.

No snow here, only rain - I'm in the south. I've spent most of my life in upstate New York though so I empathize (and I kind of miss snow, though not the shoveling of it).

When I went to college years ago in Buffalo the snow was brutal.

Yet the weather benefits us some as it has allowed GM Blood to expedite the review process.

Drove about 200 miles last night. The first 150ish were clear, no issues despite being 100% covered earlier in the day. Made excellent time. The last 50 were the opposite. Most of the time I couldn't even see the road underneath the snow. Traffic was going 20 in a 65 (well, aside from those who ended up in ditches thinking 65 in a 65 is acceptable in those conditions). Saw 7 vehicles in ditches, including a jacknifed semi, and three accidents, one of which closed the road down and had us take a detour.

All in all, probably should've checked into a different hotel and drove in this morning. At least I made it.

I'm enjoying the fact that a bunch of people who are about to take on the roles of some of the most heinous criminals imaginable are capable only of having friendly chats about the weather.

So when you sacrifice a mitran to asmodeous, what type of sacrificial knife do you prefer? Mithril gives a great cut, but adamantine doesn't need sharpened.

Personally, I go for obsidian. Easy to sharpen, not very expensive, and when the inquisitors show up you can "accidentally" smash it. "Sacrificial knife? Nothing like that here, officers!"

Ok final teams have been chose, yes I did say teams. I decided to run two games at once. There were a lot of great entries, many of which that overlapped making it hard to have more than one of those characters in a group.

Here are the two groups:

Group #1 report to the gameplay thread in this campaign

Lueck
Garrett "Ash" Hunt
Hugh of Karfeld
Steinki Uðr

Group two report to the other gameplay thread.

Daimon Pyre
Tearyn Seslina
Aevry Balindor
Rytara Sumpfkrot

Thank you to everyone who put in a character. If someone ends up dropping out in the future I may contact you as a replacement.

I agree with John on the obsidian, but would definitely go with serrated. Makes sawing through the bone that much easier, and who cares if the blade chips a little in the process.

Doh - ninjaed by the DM on my last post.

On the flip side, thanks for the selection, I hope Talingarde is prepared for all the evil that is inherent in nature, especially the corruption and blight.

@GM Blood: thanks for the time and consideration.

@ALL: Have a great game!

Thank you for the consideration.
If anyone drops out and my character could fill the hole they left, I am willing to step in.

oh well, was fun to make the character and dream of playing, probably best though as I am leaving tomorrow for Gulf Wars as many others may be going too next week if you are in the SCA.

Thanks for the consideration. Obviously disappointed I didn't make the cut, but glad two games are getting off the ground - should be awesome!

good gaming all!

Have fun all! GM Blood is a great GM, and this is a great AP!!

Here, here! Have fun everyone!

Hey Evil Squad 2 - lets get going. Time to check in and start doing evil stuff.

aww so disappointed!

Just had a spot open up and looking for someone to join in short notice. This is a Gesalt version with one of the classes needing to be cleric, Inquisitor, or Anti-Paladin of Asmodeus. Please see the original post for detail. This game is already begun and the characters are level 2.

Current Characters are listed below, please think about a combination that you want to play and would also be a good fit

Human Male Gestalt Sorcerer(Draconic)/2 - Antipaladin(Lord of Darkness)
Female Human Gestalt Inquisitor/2 - Blight Druid/2
Female Human Gestalt Rogue/Cleric 2

I'm not looking for a complete sheet at this moment but more of a general sense of what you want to play crunch wise and a good background.

Need someone who is willing to post at least once a day and possibly more.

Going to leave recruitment up until I see something the catches my eye, but probably not closed until tomorrow night.

Will need to work something up, but leaning toward a Lawful Evil Half-Orc (possibly plagueborn, could alliw for a tie-in with the blight druid) Inquisitor/Ranger - a dedicated hunter for the Prince of Darkness who was caught in an act of desecration, ruining a holy artefact of Mitra (in anticipation of using it to kill the son of a young noble who should have been there at the time)
