@GM West
If you're interested... Tome of Battle, Warblade 3.5
Best of luck to all!
If you still need someone to RP and fill in gaps, keep me in mind. Any gaps, as I love niche characters with a twist.

Storyteller Shadow |

Hey that's awesome - greetings to the both of you!
Daniel, I'm not familiar with the Forcemage. Is that a homebrew? That's the only reference I found in a quick google search. I'd probably have to disallow the class choice if it's homebrew, unfortunately.
Shadow, the same goes for the Warblade. Couldn't find that class except for a homebrew description. A paladin of St. Cuthbert would be a great choice, but the wizard sounds intriguing as well. Either one would be a welcome addition to the party.
War blade is in Tome of Battle Book of Nine Swords. One of the last 3.5 releases.
I'll think on Cleric vs Wizard instead and whip something up soon.

Storyteller Shadow |

OK, I can't decide so I'm going to make a Mystic Theurge. Wizard 3 (Abjurer)/Cleric 3 St. Cuthbert/Mystic Theurge 2. I'll get that build up I believe today.
This way I'll have the righteousness of St. Cuthbert combined with the arcane spells to be a ranged threat when needed. I'll focus my magic items on keeping up my AC so I can wade into combat if necessary.

Sethran Aeleanir |

Always wanted to play alongside Storyteller Shadow (he's an excellent roleplayer - GM's one of my games).
If you're leaning towards him, would love to toss my hat into the ring (as it were) with a Half-Orc Barbarian/Rogue "fighter" type.
Are you ready to rumble?
Please don't let my exuberance count against him, he comes highly recommended!

Storyteller Shadow |

Wizard 1 - 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Cleric 2 - 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Wizard 2 - 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Cleric 3 - 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Wizard 3 - 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Mystic Theurge 1 - 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3 No less than half so 2
Mystic Theurge 2 - 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Total - 49 + Improved Toughess +8 = 57
Augment Healing
( Complete Divine, p. 79)
[General]
Your Conjuration [Healing] spells are more effective.
Prerequisite
Heal 4 ranks,
Benefit
Add +2 points per spell level to the amount of damage healed by any Conjuration [Healing] spell that you cast. For example, a 1st-level cleric with this feat casting cure light wounds would restore 1d8+3 hp. An 8th-level cleric with the Healing domain and this feat casting cure moderate wounds would restore 2d8+13 hp (9 for his caster level including the +1 caster level bonus for the Healing domain, + 4 for the feat). A 13th-level druid casting heal would restore 144 hp (130 for her caster level + 14 for the feat, since heal is a 7th-level druid spell).
Improved Toughness
(Complete Warrior, Page 101)
[General]
You are significantly tougher than normal.
Prerequisite
Base Fortitude save bonus +2,
Benefit
You gain a number of hit points equal to your current Hit Dice. Each time you gain a Hit Die (such as by gaining a level), you gain 1 additional hit point. If you lose a Hit Die (such as by losing a level), you lose 1 hit point permanently.
I will have the rest done no later than Thursday evening. Just need to pull the elements together and finalize the background idea.

Edelsmirge |

Ok my basic idea for the fighter type:
First lv feat:power attack, human feat:exotic wpn pro spiked chain
Lv 2 fighter cleave(phb)
Lv 3 fighter improved bull rush(phb), 3rd lv feat extra rage
Lv 4 fighter
Lv 5 fighter(4) great cleave(phb)
Lv 6 fighter(5) leap attack complete adventurer p 110)
Lv 7 fighter (6) shock trooper ( complete warrior p 112)
More to add, need a valorous weapon +2
hp: 1d12 + 6d10 ⇒ (3) + (6, 10, 3, 5, 10, 3) = 40

Sorry for the delay folks, at this point I'm going to go with the first two responders:
Daniel Stewart, your Wizard/Argent Savant looks great at a casual glance. I'll go over with a sharper eye in the days to come. You've got the first slot.
Storyteller Shadow, I'll await your submission and you've got the second spot if you're interested. Good to hear you're highly recommended!
If either of these two drop out of the running, I'll consider others.
Just a heads-up by the way, I usually try to post every three or four days or so (or more often if I can), but in the past few months my personal life has become a bit... chaotic you might say. So please do forgive any lapses in my posting rate - at the moment it's been 7 to 10 days between my posts. I hope to get back to my old routine sooner than later. If this affects your decision, I completely understand. Thanks for the interest, everyone!

GM West |

That's great, Razel it looks like you are Shadow, correct?
If the pace I mentioned is good for the both of you, I'll be writing you in immediately. And again, I'm hoping to increase my posting rate back to every 3 or 4 days. I'm just going through a bit of a rough patch currently in RL. Thanks for your patience in advance. My current players have been absolutely great about my delays and I feel strongly that I owe it to them to get my butt into gear ASAP. :)

GM West |

If anyone is interested in this adventure, I've got a couple of spots open and a great time to write you in - especially if you're a fighter type!
Oh, and the party is fighting a blue dragon and a REALLY tough general that serves the dread cambion Iuz. Only the bravest heroes need apply!
I've PM'd Sethran Aeleanir and Edelsmirge, so they'll get first dibs if I get any interest.

GM West |

Hiya Grimdog! The party is Level 8, and the details for creation is in the first post of this Recruitment thread. A fighter/rogue would probably be a big help, or any fighter type for that matter. I'd be writing in the new player using the gladiator battle that's currently going on for the amusement of the General, so those would be ideal class types (as opposed to a feeble wizard or the like!) Feel free to ask if you have any questions!

GM West |

Yes, traits are allowed Edelsmirge! But recall that this game is based on 3.5e rules - not Pathfinder. This adventure migrated to this board from another one that has nearly finished a slippery downward slope brought on by the player base slowly disintegrating over the many years but also because the board itself changed a couple times, lately into Tapatalk - which is frigging horrible, IMO.
Anyway, you can find a list of the traits and flaws (and how to get them) in the forum link below. Flaws let you get extra feats, but at a cost. I allow a player to take two traits and two flaws at 1st level (though since you're creating an 8th level PC, that doesn't really matter - except in terms of pre-reqs so you can't take an 'extra' feat that has a pre-req you wouldn't have at 1st level.) Let me know if you have any questions!

GM West |

GM West |

Looking good, Morgrym! As you have the first character made (for the most part), you'll be first out of the pit to help the party and get your vengeance against that damn General!
You don't have your weapons, nor your armor, but you do have a short sword (standard) you were using against the troll down in the gladiatorial arena. Watch for your intro in the Gameplay tab with my posting of the next round of combat!

GM West |

Hi Willvr! Let me give AGMMagiker a chance to respond first (he inquired first, and I think I might know the player from another board), but if he declines the spot is yours! A rogue type would be great, and if you'd like an arcane spin that's fine. I prefer not to have another wizard or duskblade though, so as not to step on toes of the other players!

willvr |
Ferah is the major muscle you've GMed, though Hawke as Master of Many Forms probably counts. You've also GMed Ignis and Jamarkis.
I will look through my books, I usually play PF when I can these days, so out of practice in looking at 3.5 builds. 8th is a level that Prestige Classes are very viable though, so may see if any of those grab my fancy.
Or maybe a scout or spellthief.
