"Wow!" Jori marveled, turning to congratulate Thomas, but when she saw his face she took a step back. "Uh... Thomas? Are you okay? You got him, the demon's gone!"
Hanzo, who was slightly less worried about Thomas, took the opportunity to look around the room in case there was something small and valuable lying about.
”My winged Lord, we thank you for your Devine blessing to allow us to smote and rend the evil in your name and angelic mercy, may your wings wrap round us as we sing your praise.”
The cleric prays quietly before allowing himself to become involved in the current goings on.
” Impressive swing there Thomas.”
Stone begins to detect for magic.
”Who is in need of healing?”
After shaking his head as if trying to get something off or out, Thomas is back. "Thanks. But,..., I don't know. It's a demon isn't it? He teleported away probably. We shouldn't have let him go..."
”Allow yourself to celebrate good sir. You just vanquished a demon and that’s no everyday occurrence. An accomplishment to be proud of for sure. Gods willing it will remain in the 666 Layer of the Abyss for the next 1001 years.”
Lowering the bow, somewhat taken aback by the speed the demon was taken care of, Sheaorlis lets out a sigh of relief.
"I'm sure it will remain, now that his master is gone and that journal is kept safely." he adds, eyeing the journal in Joriannika's hands.
"Seeing what a mess is here downstairs if you are willing to share the divine healing gift received from your patron I will take you up on your offer."
"I'll take that offer too," Hanzo was quick to say when he heard Stone speak of healing.
Relieved that Thomas was all right, Jori gave him a hug, then glanced through the journal again.
"That was a beautiful prayer, Stone!" Jori exclaimed when Stone was done praying. She beamed at him. "Maybe you can write me one for Shelyn sometime!"
Stone blushes and bows.
”I do hope you are not making sport at my expense m’lady. Literature was something I wasn’t introduced to until late in my childhood. I do my best with words.”
He straightens and mumbles another prayer before releasing a healing burst.
Joriannika looked genuinely shocked at the idea. "I would never!" As her gaze rested on Stone, her brows came together in consternation. "Is that what life in the city taught you? I'm so sorry! There's no beauty in bullying anyone, and Shelyn would disapprove. I hope whoever taught you such a cruel lesson learns to act with more grace."
"I don't know much about your god, though," she continued gregariously, curiosity on her face. "Maybe you can tell me more about him sometime, too!"
Hanzo sighed in relief as the wave of healing energy cured his wounds. He slapped Stone on the back companionably and grinned. "Nice trick! I hope you've got more of that hidden away in case there are more demons upstairs."
"Stop talking of more demons. Please" Thomas tries to answer civilly, but one can feel his agitation.
With no more words, he moves on trying to push the group, but not lead from the front, if possible.
"Now, now, don't be modest fiend slayer or you might end up a cleric as our friend here." Sheaorlis smiles somewhat uncharacteristic and lifts up the axe over his shoulder, seeming ready to continue the exploration.
"Now that we've received a bit of warmth from the gods we should see what other surprises does this mansion have to offer."
”The streets taught me m’lady. It is a hard and brutal teacher, but I have come here to unlearn some of what was taught and seek other truths.”
The cleric smooths his garb.
”Does it appear we have cleared the bottom level?”
Hanzo just shook his head at Stone with a grin as he went back to searching.
Joriannika gazed at Stone with sympathy. "Well, Shelyn knows that's a noble quest. Let's talk after we're out of here - I'd like to know more!"
The bubbly alchemist moved back to the front to help Hanzo look for traps as they left.

I've been considering whether I want to run a module on the boards, instead of by PBEM like I'm used to. Never used the boards to GM before. Maybe I'll consider this one.
That would be great. It appears that the DM dropped all of his games in early June. He had IRL problems and needed to shift his priorities. I would welcome someone running this module.
