So the adventurers of corerue continue.
Was mugged during the night when my family and I were loading up into the car. Guy tapped me in the temple with a collapsible baton. Thought id go down but despite a severe concussion I was able to fight back. He fractured my left shoulder and left forearm and wrist. But I broke his jaw. Knocked out three of his teeth. Broke his wrist, blew out his knee and broke his leg. For a five-ten minute tussle it ended badly for him...
I cannot stress enough learning how to defend yourself. I learned Wang Chung a few years ago and its an aggressive martial arts. He hit me 4 times and I hit him over two dozen times. In the end they thought i attacked him, but I come from a family of scrapers. So dont start somethin ya cant finish...
The fundamental teaching of Wang Chung is using your less needed parts to defend against weapon wielding opponents. Knives clubs doesn't matter so long as you protect your core. Had he hit me in the head again I probably wouldn't have remained conscious let alone lived. They also teach to never stop attacking, throat stab leads, to close range punch followed by an elbow strike and then another close range punch and proceed to drill His face with both fists plus elbow and knee combos. It can and is meant to ruin your opponent.
Since the fight was on concrete and not a padded mat i did some terrible damage. As intended.
Anyway got my bell rung and it sucked. This year needs to leave me alone.... like seriously.
Sorry for the drama. Posts coming shortly.

Sad to see ya go! Take care.
Cori, sorry for my delay. I've been on vacation with the family. I will get posts in today when I arrive back in the Adirondacks.
Congrats on defending your family! You did the right thing. I second your comment on learning how to defend yourself. Those that know how to fight tend to not feel the need to fight.

DM Corerue |

No problem Cid and ya, that was the worst fight of my life. Never thought I'd see the day but I am glad I was able to fight back. I admit he nearly knocked me cold with the first hit. Its a terrible feeling to look back and think how close I was to leaving my wife alone with that...
Anywho posts are up. Sped this along finally. MOving things forward and will try and maintain a more steady pace.

Yea, I didn't realize it was all online at first either but sice its mostly modeled after the call of duty line the biggest thing was getting used to the wall slide and double jumping...also giant mechs :)
I put my titan on auto and use it as a decoy while i go and either rodeo the enemy titan or use sidewinder missles on it.

DM Corerue |

Mir, Ethyra and Jaeger are confirmed.
Seren is gone of course, will remove later.
Lomar has contacted me a couple of times but they haven't joined us again yet... =/
Cid and Kieran are busy with RL stuff. =//
Skyfall has stalled as well. I really wanted to have Cassian make those rolls but tonight I will press forward, just like I am doing here...
=////////////////////// Blargh

DM Corerue |

I am not sure. I know Lomar and Seren and are gone. Lomar has expressed interest coming back and I sent them a PM on where we are at but I havent heard anything yet :/
Cid and Kieran appear to be MIA at the moment and from what I can tell it may be due to RL difficulties. I just feel bad NPCing and rushing things so much. :/

Ethyra di Angelo |

Scrolls
spellcraft: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Potions
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
I had forgotten that in the thin man's stash there was some potions and scrolls...so I'm hoping I can retro actively roll for those either that niggt or the next morning...please.

At this point recruiting may definitely be a good idea. The AP's pretty popular and from what I see we've gone in an entirely different direction from most groups.
Different direction? What ju tawkin bout?

DM Corerue |

Apologies, checking in on a few things and getting distracted.
Will definitely be recruiting that is in the works.
Will proceed with four for now in case some of the others return eventually. =/ I'm not much for kicking people, especially ones I like. However this being still semi close to the original modules theres not much I can do to skim around the plot for long.
Anywho baby is up so gotta go for now. Once we figure out the new character we will get back underway.
They are most likely going for a ranged build and will hopefully post here as soon as possible so we can discuss party balance if needed~

This mongrelmen adventure isn't a part of the actual adventure path, they play a small part but this was something that I cooked up. ;)
Also we are the most paladin-less party in all the Wotr games! xD

Bah we don be need'n no hyped up crusada wana be. Ol' Jaeger be handilin all de melee combat don ch'all be worryin none. Kay' mes amies?
What did we get from the thin dwarf? I think all but one of Ethyra's rolls should get us what they are.

Greetings.
err, least I think that's my cue. It's lucky I saw this one update while checking another game or I'd have likely not been here to get rolling til tomorrow.
I've got things to do tonight so I'm unlikely to be able to get it hammered out now but I'll see where the dice fall for stats at least.
Regardless of my choice I'm going to at the very least need 2 higher stats, so I'll be taking you up on the stat option I read earlier.
dice: 1d3 + 15 ⇒ (1) + 15 = 16
dice: 1d3 + 15 ⇒ (3) + 15 = 18
dice: 1d10 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
dice: 1d10 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
dice: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 2, 2) = 8
dice: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 2, 2) = 8
dice: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 5, 6) = 23
EDIT: Huh.. well I'm not really sure what I'm going to do with that one.
