So my plan is 'tha' words will end up 'da' so 'that' ends up as 'dat' and 'they' will end up as 'dey' I've found some cajun dictionaries and some gambit quotes :)
The quotes will give me sentence structure stuff and the dictionaries will give me words.
Yeah me! And no unlike Gambit Jaeger does not speak in third person.

Alright! Yeah, so, Jaeger: thanks for the link to the switchpike. I immediately though of **these things** I used to play with when I was a kid. (Yeah, I googled "telescopic rainbow flashlight sword toy" because I seriously couldn't think of what else to call those things).
Probably should add this as well.
Switchblade pike retracted/extended
Price: 120gp
Damage: 1d6 slashing/1d8 piercing
Crit: 19/20x2/x3
Weight: 10lbs
Range: -/-
Special: -/reach, two-handed
Now I'm adding the reach part...because it doesn't actually say it gets reach but it does say it becomes a longspear...so it only makes sense to me .

Kieran Crane |

O yeah, I forgot about that site. DM - Do you think you could put a link in the campaign tab to Jaeger's Google thingy?

Kieran Crane |

At least I have one person on my side in this party...

Jaeger di Angelo |

I'm greatly enjoying both these games and get so impatient when ever there is the slightest lapse...so congrats Corerue I'm addicted I hope your happy!! You drug dealer disguised as a DM!

Kieran Crane |

That really sucks, man. Hope things turn around for you soon.

I'm sensing a pattern...clearly you need to move down to Florida you'll clearly be sick less often....
>_>
<_<
What?
Also I'm amused that I'm giving Jaeger a cajun accent when he has a German word for his name....

Take all the time you need, sir. It ain't easy livin' the life of a badass. This whole month will be spotty for me as well. I have to present my research at this conference in Massachusetts on top of exams and work. If Cid and/or Tyrn have to go on auto-pilot to keep things going, feel free!

Kieren: Yes. My bad there. Couldn't open the map at work. :(
Jaeger: Since I missed it until you said something about it, I will let it stand for just this attack. The next ones will be normal. But by Rule of Cool this attack will still apply.
I believe I am still waiting on others. If someone wants to NPC them we will keep moving forward. Hopefully Lomar/Di returns soon and again apologies for the bad months I continue to have.
The doctor says I have tendonitis, probably from the car wreck irritating all my muscles and so my hands are about 50-60% normal function. My right is at about 30% give or take and under a lot of irritating pain. I can work through it, its not above a 2 on the 1-10 scale but they say to rest it as much as possible. Primarily at night of course. So fun fun fun lol!
This AP is easier to move forward with all of you together, skyfall will continue at a somewhat slower pace but I will try and keep moving in one or the other from now on and appreciate your continued patience.
Continuing from main thread.
I had tendinitis a couple of weeks ago, right above my left elbow that sucked. I could barely move my arm for about a week.

"Kill-thief" sounds like a bit of a stretch. Now, "overzealous flanking buddy" fits the bill nicely. You're welcome, by the way ;-)

Kieran Crane |

I just want to go on record saying: I didn't steal Seren's kill and Jeager downed his second fly. So, kill-thief? Nahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Kieran Crane |

Pfft! Y'all just jealous. :-P

Kieran Crane |

This is the best I could do based on the descriptions given. Please let me know if any adjustments need to be made. After I get the "go-ahead" (or Cori starts the next encounter) I'll put it in the IC.
I would really hate to be ANYTHING coming out of that room. Jeeeeeeeeeeeeze....

Ok, so, for the Warlock class version I'm using, as typed, the Eldritch Blast does 1d8 damage, and the for the Invocation, Inferno Blast, I chose, that adds another 1d8 fire damage to the blast. Then, at level two, the Warlock adds another 1d8 damage to the blast, which continues to go up 1d8 every two levels.
So at level two Lomar's blast will be doing 3d8 and 4th 4d8 and so on. Not including any other additions from further Invocations added.
2d8 damage for a 1st level, or 3d8 for a 2nd level PC, on a ranged Touch attack, seems a little steep for me.
Any thoughts on this anyone?

Kieran Crane |

3.5 Warlocks did 1d6 every other level, right? Plus they had Hideous Blow! O man... Warlocks are pretty damn cool.
Those are my thoughts. Class Mechanics are a DM call ;-)

Lomar Shadowan |

No, I don't think so. Or, hrrmmm, as written it's considered untyped arcane damage. Here:
"Eldritch Blast (Su): A warlock gains a supernatural ability known as the eldritch blast; this ability allow the warlock to focus his eldritch arcane energy into a damaging blast of dark energies able to wound, or even kill, his opponents. As a standard action a warlock can make a ranged touch attack against an opponent within 60 feet, dealing 1d8 points of damage (the damage results from pure arcane energy and does not possess an energy type, therefore energy resistances and immunities offer no protection). The target of the eldritch blast receives no saving throw. Although the eldritch blast itself does not provoke an attack of opportunity, it should be noted that all ranged touch attacks in Pathfinder do provoke an attack of opportunity when the to-hit roll is made.
At 2nd level, and every two warlock levels gained thereafter, the damage inflicted by an eldritch blast increases by 1d8 to a maximum of 11d8 at 20th level.
An eldritch blast is not subject to spell resistance.
An eldritch blast deals half damage to objects.
For the purposes of the spells globe of invulnerability, lesser globe of invulnerability, and similar powers and effects, a 1st level warlock’s eldritch blast has an effective spell level equal to a 1st-level spell. At each odd-numbered warlock level gained thereafter, the eldritch blast strength increases by one level, to an effective spell of 9th-level at warlock level 17."
Hope that helps?

I scooped this up a while ago, don't think it was an official product though, if memory serves, but a homebrew by a respected Pathfindarian.
Ah, here it is. Actually, this is a slightly revised version than the one currently on his PC sheet:
http://paizo.com/threads/rzs2noz9?Master-Arminass-Revised-Warlock-for-the#1
There's been LOTS of discussion on this revision, especially on the original post of it. And so far I've yet to read anyone complain about the the damage of the blast. So, maybe that's just me, and I'm willing to let it stand if you are. Of course, I'm always willing to go with whatever feels best to you.

Lomar Shadowan |

(This is the version and thread Lomar is currently using. There's not a whole lot of difference, as far as I see yet. Just a few things cleaned up and tweaked, so I'll prob update to the newest one, if that's cool.)

You should do a playtest report for the build once we've had a bit of play.
On the surface, that damage with a touch attack seems more badass than most archery builds. But that might not be how it plays out.

Lomar Shadowan |

oooooohhhhhhhh! Or THIS ONE!!!
This one feels Much more like the original 3.5 Warlock, which is what I have been looking for this whole time. Almost no spellcasting whatsoever (a handful of cantrips, that's it) and lots of the feel of the original, "no one else can do this" abilities of the WoC Warlock.
Gonna take a closer look at it for a bit, but looks very exciting at first glance.
