The map is basically upstairs (you, zevo, mahl) and downstairs (tan, van, rats). The hatch/ladder is depicted on the map. Descending the ladder is a normal 5 ft of movement.
Is there enough room in here to start moving down the ladder and use Acrobatics to jump behind the rat just east of the ladder?
Not really. All the open spaces are visible on the map. You can attempt to use Acro to move past the rat without drawing an AoO, per the Acro rules, with a -2 due to the deep water/cramped conditions.

Sweet Jesus Dave! These delays are tough....Can you send us an email when you do a post, we are talking weeks between updates, so I stop checking this campaign daily.

It's with great regret that I have to put this campaign on indefinite hiatus. I knew I'd have issues taking up a third play-by-post campaign, but I figured I might be able to muscle through them. Instead, I've found I'm slacking across all three, and not doing any one the service they deserve.
So, since this is the newest, I'm going to go on *pause* until I at least finish one of the other two. I understand if you're disappointed, because I'm just as disappointed. S&S is a very cool campaign/story and your characters are great!
In the next year or so when I wrap up Jade Regent, if there's still some interest, we can maybe pick it up again.
