I think that's up to Rocco since he's the only one that can see them really. He would have to lead us somehow, either by verbal commands or literally. Since Rocco can see invisible creatures, can Kurglunn too? Like a familiar that shares a spell with a wizard?

Elurius rushes after everyone as they head out of the room, banner in one hand and the other poised to cast a spell.

Elurius has Faerie fire as a first level spell, which is like a poor man's glitterdust; no blinding but it outlines clearly making invisibility moot. She's readied to cast it as soon as Rocco points them out.

I think you still have to SEE your target for that spell to work. Its great for thieves hiding in shadows, or preventing spellcaster from turning fully invisible after it takes effect however.

It is a burst spell, so you take a bit of a chance with your targetting, but if you know someone just belted your team mate invisibly, then it is a reasonable shot.

The Silver Ravens, led by Rocco, run after the fleeing sultists through the double doors to the east. What they see as they enter the new room is... unexpected.

A ten-foot-wide pit yawns in the center of this room, leaving a five-foot-wide walkway surrounding it. No railing guards the edges of the pit, which are decorated with shards of jagged glass and metal.

Rocco notices 2 of the cultists running further east while another turns to the south...

”Two of em right ahead of ya, Lirotha! Almost to the end of the hall.” Rocco turns and points to the one in the southern passage, ”K, there’s another one over there by the wall. See if you can catch em!”

Kurglunn follows Rocco’s direction and phases through the wall to avoid the broken glass and things lining the pit. As he reaches the open end of the southern passage, he turns and tries to move south.

Casting quickly....Lirotha targets the area Rocco points out! A blast of golden particles erupts in the passage!

Gitterdust! Will DC16 or be blinded for 5 rounds!:
A cloud of golden particles covers everyone and everything in the area, causing creatures to become blinded and visibly outlining invisible things for the duration of the spell. All within the area are covered by the dust, which cannot be removed and continues to sparkle until it fades. Each round at the end of their turn blinded creatures may attempt new saving throws to end the blindness effect. Any creature covered by the dust takes a -40 penalty on Stealth checks.

Lirotha's spell makes the 2 fleeing cultists to the east visible again, although they seem to have suffered no other effect from the spell.

Meanwhile Rocco, Lirotha and Oren apporoach the central pit only to feel pulled towards it and discover to tehir horror it conceals a trap made of sharpened spikes hidden on its bottom!

Slumber Hex (Will:DC16):
A witch can cause a creature within 30 feet to fall into a deep, magical sleep, as per the spell sleep. The creature receives a Will save to negate the effect. If the save fails, the creature falls asleep for a number of rounds equal to the witch’s level. This hex can affect a creature of any HD. The creature will not wake due to noise or light, but others can rouse it with a standard action. This hex ends immediately if the creature takes damage. Whether or not the save is successful, a creature cannot be the target of this hex again for 1 day.

Things finally seem stable! Let's get going!

Elurius gives a glance at the pit and at the people on the other side, contemplating trying to jump it, but decides that she'd prefer the enemy coming to her. With a smile, she starts clearing her throat and running through a few magically tinged scales, waiting for a good chance to get in closer. As soon as an opening pops up, the half-elf slides into place and starts singing a simple but magically-infused song, giving the green tinged outline of a man an enticing look.

Elurius gives a huff of annoyance as her spell is kicked off and the man runs out of sight. She then watches as the man next to him falls over, snoring. She glances over at Lirotha with slightly expectant eyes.

Without comment she reaches into the small, almost purse-sized bag hanging on her back and pulls out a large coil of rope that didn't look like it should fit and tosses it to the Hound.

♫"Here you go!
I want it back after yer done though."♫

The Silver Ravens react quickly to the surprising developments that manifested just a few seconds before. In short order they are ready to help Rocco out of the pit while the halfling is quick to heal himself.

On the other side of the room a tall humanoid creature sporting salmon colored skin appears. Two huge bone horns sprout hout of its skull. The creature wields a vicious, saw-toothed glaive, while below its toothy maw writhes a hideous, twitching beard.

The monster boldly advances towards Kurglunn and slashes at the phantom with its glaive...

It's a Barbazu, also known as a bearded devil! These guys are the elite warriors in Hell’s legions. Bearded devils fight savagely in the name of their infernal lords and command mindless hordes of the damned into battle. They collect and train with their infernally forged glaives among the vaults of Hell’s third layer, Erebus, but inevitably return to the first layer, Avernus, to serve at the side of the dread lord Barbatos.

Lirotha got 3 questions about the critter

Lirotha identifies the new threat covering for Elurius' sudden lack of recognition as she heals poor Rocco's wounds. Meanwhile Valrani crosses the distance between herself and the sleeping cultist and caves his skull in with a powerful blow of her staff.

Following suit, Oren confronts the new diabolic being threatening Kurglunn but before she can connect she needs to brave the fiend's glaive!

@Rocco: nope their attacks count as evil and lawful for the purpose of bypassing DR, I did not remember Kurglunn had gained a different kind of DR and thought he was weak to slashing damage. Anyway I rectified the damage he suffered
