Uh, I took damage... first thing... (the most damage of any of us, and DEX damage added to it...) :/ :)
EDIT: re-reading it, I took 3 damage and 2 DEX damage, chap takes 1 damage and 1 DEX damage, and Kiwyn takes 3 damage. On my turn I took more DEX damage (GM will roll for it). You didn't take damage... ;P
:D

Whoops, sounds like I missed the bit about damage being dealt, my bad.
The shining Celestial Eagle full attacks the Imp, using its Smith Evil ability.
I really want "Smith Evil" to be a thing now.

No problem, just pointing it out. :)

Sounds like an amazing metal-band name (or at least a song).

Heh, there's a bard in my 5e game who plays thematically-appropriate music on his iPhone every time he Inspires Courage.
Elysium "Eli" Blackdun |
Okay, I'm glad I wasn't drinking anything when I checked out this page.
Of all the things I expected from looking at it, this post was not it.
That was hilarious. Well played.
EDIT: and I'm still laughing

That's actually really awesome.
Hopefully at least every once in a while he breaks out one of the songs themed around himself, too! :D
EDIT:
"Good job kid!"
If you don't add "don't get cocky" at some point, we can no longer be friends. :P

Only for you Tactics. ;P
Friendship is FOREVER!

Pretty sure handle animal doesn't apply to two-foot intelligent devils.
EDIT: Unless you meant the mules instead of the imps, which seems pretty obvious now and I'm an idiot.

You guys are awesome! 13 players all posted actions within one evening. :) Happy Saturday, all! :)
I am just lucky in the current falling of my shift roster.
The distribution of free days.... is not as forgiving... as some rosters...
That entry was added just before i headed off to work. This one... just after work, while eating dinner and getting ready for bed.
Remember kiddies! This is why you should pay attention in school. :P
Sister Azmaria |
right now I wonder if its really worth using my silver bullets or using my Holy weapon balm.
with the large group and smaller number of enemies I would hate to use up my limited resources.
Elysium "Eli" Blackdun |
So long as you don't hit him by mistake, Eli has absolutely no problem with you using limited resources right now... :)
EDIT: Oh, and chap (or someone next to her) may wish to make a coup de grace against the fallen imp just to be sure...
Brit "Chap" Norgant |
A lot of good skewering it did. :P
Q: Does Brit need to make a perception check to see that the thing she just killed woke up, whined, and disappeared?
Q: Was it still prone when it vanished?
GM Angelina |
So...*ahem*... those of you who didn't make the Perception DC 20 can just ignore Chap's post right above this... ( which should probably have been in a spoiler tag to the GM, Chap...)
Chap, yes, in order to see that, you would have to make the perception DC 20 check, since it specifically dropped unconscious on the other side of your panicking mule, not adjacent to you.
However, Lesith did shout a warning to you that it's still alive, so whether you make the perception DC or not, you could still act on Lesith's warning.
If you make the perception check, you do notice that, yes, the imp is still prone when it vanishes (just slightly propped up on its elbows).
You could attempt to use your longspear to stab right where you saw it disappear.

Wait, what? I don't think it did so? After re-reading the posts, I think they talk about leaving but are still there?
NINJA'D by GM
GM Angelina |
Okay!
Let's see... Arabeth already has a life link with Chap... The only other players who have taken damage so far are Eli and Kiwyn... and of the two, Eli has taken more damage, and is still in melee with an imp... So, maybe, life link with Eli?
If I don't hear otherwise from you before I resolve the round, that is what I will assume. :)
Elysium "Eli" Blackdun |
*Arabeth*: Be responsible! Stay safe! And enjoy!
EDIT: always NINJA'D by the GM! :)
(This does make your responses in Gob Smash make even more sense OOC - and they already made sense IC! To be clear: yeah, that stuff's really happening. ;D)
*Arabeth* |

Indeed, life link with ELi.
Also, maybe a channel? Is Arabeth has the possible amount of actions? Get some soothing of other's ills happening?
Very much wishing every one all the very best. (No, it's not the Rum talking.. well, I do luvs you guyz... :P)
(^_^)
Sister Azmaria |
I was checking things out and I discovered that Sister A is using Alchemical cartridges which reduce my loading from Standard to move.
of course she now has increased misfire chance. and since its silver its -1 on damage but if I crit threat its an auto confirm.
GM Angelina |
No worries! It's all good. :)
Sister Az, -1 damage is a lot better than -5 damage due to their damage reduction!
If your reload is a move action, and if you're still aiming at the one threatening Eli, then you can go ahead and fire that silver bullet now. :)
Also, Shyness, you may notice it... but does your character actually say anything about it?
She certainly doesn't have to... but if she doesn't, then those who didn't make the perception DC shouldn't know.
GM Angelina |
Cernan,
The imps are specifically spread out surrounding your group, so, no, you couldn't get two in one.
Calling a warning to allies to close their eyes wouldn't work, since mind-affecting patterns like color spray affect all who are caught in the cone, not just those who see it.
If you target Imp A, you would also definitely hit allies surrounding it. Besides, it has dropped to the ground by the time your turn occurs.
If you target Imp K, you would also hit allies flanking it, unless you move right up to be adjacent to it when casting, which would provoke an attack of opportunity against you from the imp.
If you target Imp E, who is currently facing Eli and Poterol but who is not yet flanked, you could hit it without hitting allies.
Alternately, you could target the seemingly-empty space where Chap's Imp C dropped, and where Kiwyn's celestial dog seemed to be trying unsuccessfully to attack, without being adjacent and without hitting allies.
Let me know which target you choose as soon as you can! :)
Cernan the Patient |
I believe I responded, but I'm targeting Imp E then.
GM Angelina |
Okay,
At this point I'm waiting on an action from Chap, plus some additions or clarifications from Vincent, Shyness, Kaya, Poterol, and Sister Az.
When those are in, I'll try to get the next gameplay post up soon.
It's almost ready. :)
After that, I probably will need to wait until next Friday or Saturday to get another major gameplay post up, since the demands of a busy work week will soon be upon me.
You guys rock. I'm enjoying this game thoroughly. Cheers! :)
Cernan the Patient |
Are we taking our round 3 actions now?
Also note: the stunned imp loses its dexterity bonus to AC, as well as an additional 4 points of AC for being blinded, making it a good target for sneak attack or power attack or whatever y'all've got.
Cernan the Patient |
Hmm. Looks like Marius is the only one in the group who can learn Faerie Fire, and with all the good ranger spells out there, I'm guessing it would take a good reason to actually memorize it.
In other news, maybe we should start stocking up on throwable powder sacks (I believe they're 1 sp or something?)
Elysium "Eli" Blackdun |
Would it be too late for Marius and/or Arabeth to change their actions?
Please? Please? Please? Please?
o_o
Elysium "Eli" Blackdun |
Not let the imps get healed and wake up again, mostly!
Make them dead before the massive wave of healing energy revitalizes them.
(Though that's kind of out of character knowledge of Marius...)
Unless Arabeth has a way excluding creature from her burst of channel, or it explicitly hurts fiends?
Marius Rizallo |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |
Oh, that. I figure (hoped?) that Arabeth was far enough away from them, or at least the one I was beating on, that it wouldn't affect the imps.
Also, yeah, OOC knowledge. In Marius's mind, Rex has that handled and the very angry mules are of greater importance. (Also-also, I hate imps and their DR. Wolf teeth are obviously good-aligned, right guys?)
Cernan the Patient |
I'm in a game where the GM ruled that all good creatures deal good-aligned damage with all weapons. We protest, because it makes the game too easy.
Elysium "Eli" Blackdun |
Clearly, though, wolf teeth are inherently good... :p
But if she's at an angle where it doesn't hit the imps... okay. I am totally fine with that.
I just read her post and envisioned all of our downed foes getting back up again.
(I can't believe I didn't buy us silver weapon Blanche in Vigilant. Ugh... boneheaded of me.)
Cernan the Patient |
This is the first character I've ever played who started with a bow but not cold iron/silver ammunition; but I didn't think much about equipment because I figured he wouldn't be much of a battler.
Elysium "Eli" Blackdun |
Heh. Technically, we aren't, yet. I mean a group of thirteen 2s v. Four CR 2s should hypothetically be a cakewalk. And in some ways (as a group) it kind of is, however it's because of our collective dings and ticks, leaving few assaults truly feeling "solid" - and all due to forgetting silver Blanche. I suppose hindsight is 20/20, but the GM did, basically, say silver and magic. I think I supposed Azmaria could just ignore the DR, if it came to it. Which she could, if the dice rolls just went a teensy bit better! Ah, well.
And we are... for now!... winning. It'll take Eli several days to recover, however! :)
