Keeping her voice at a soothing level, the Emberkin continued,
"That is a pretty name. I am Natanja. These people are my cousins. Together we journeyed here to aid your town but it is with sadness that we arrived too late."
Or did we? Ya never know, she might be the reason we were sent here.

Elysium "Eli" Blackdun |

To one of the other cousins, Natanja requested a little more food be brought to the child.
H-hey! Eli's food is legit! :p
:D
I know that's not how you meant it. :D
I'm wondering if she's been too traumatized and has blocked the entire thing from her memory.
(Also: GM told me that I don't need to roll multiple Diplomacy checks. Personally, I'd still vote for Aid Another's whenever possible, and I rolled a specific additional check when I brought up a specific potentially-painful subject, but that's just me.)

Very true, Shyness. :) But Nat's comment was more that the village was burned to the ground ...
Absolutely. In-character, I imagine that would be the prevailing feeling. That's why I pulled my comment over here. Imagine that I had a very arched eyebrow and rubbed my chin with the "Or did we?"
;)

Natanja Ogenj |

Like the image, Shy. ;) Will do.
@Eli: Angelina mentioned Gina gobbled up Eli's food. Haha. I thought it would be best to get her some more as she seemed rather hungry. Unless Eli has more ... wasn't sure ... ;)

Elysium "Eli" Blackdun |

Oh! I see! Actually, I specifically made it small so she wasn't sick. It seems clear that she's been under there for some time: for a human body, eating too much, too rapidly in such conditions, would, uh, "not end well" for herself or the food.
That was my reason for giving small amounts: I didn't want her to gorge (which doesn't take much, when you're starving) and be sick and lose it all.

Natanja Ogenj |

Got ya, Eli. I think if we gave her a few berries (Natanja picked some on the trip to Endurant), maybe a little cheese or bread, you're right she wouldn't gorge herself and perhaps her body would stop shaking so much from the shock of all she's gone through ...
Was trying to include some of the others ... in the rp ... give them time to get on the board and join the convo. :)

Elysium "Eli" Blackdun |

Edited for clarity. Ninja GM!
And I can't put my finger on one thing, but... this is wrong.
Something is very, very wrong.
We just came from Vigilant. Very convenient that we (could be) being sent back with no real answers, only vague suspicions, and very little evidence. Also, the timing of finding her, the distrust of Rex (as it was a dog that found the invisible imp), the relative calmness of the girl, and the obsession with fiery aspect. All of it. She is not why we are here. Regardless of anything else, that is something Eli is sure of.
EDIT: To be clear, basically, there are a lot of things that just aren't adding up, and they're not adding up really rapidly.
Bluff: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (13) + 14 = 27

Natanja Ogenj |

Well, maybe Rex will use his scent to sniff the child out ... We'll see what Marius does when he's back on the board.
Nat's Sense Motive isn't great ...
And from Nat's backstory -- she has a real soft spot for children ... and aiding/helping/healing them ... It's become a sort of drive/compulsion because she could not save her little brother.

Cernan the Patient |

Sent back? Cernan's going to find out what happened first, one way or another.
Oh, and I believe he rolled pretty high on his knowledge of imps...

By the way: I would like to apologize for constantly mentioning Eli's monotone.
I am, clearly, running out of unique ways of saying the same thing over and over.
However, I'd like to explain myself and my reasons for it:
1) because I treat each post is it's own thing; hence, if someone reads it, this way they're aware of what they're responding to
2) because I don't always type it correctly. I often have to rewrite Eli's posts a few time in order to shed it of unintentional emotion or denoted-by-grammar emotional and tonal alterations... which a flat, monotone voice doesn't have.
3) because, even if I've said it a ton of times, there will inevitably be someone (including me!) who forgets. (No seriously, I've almost forgotten several times.) Hence, mentioning it, keeps it fresh on the mind.
So, yeah, I apologize, as I'm sure it's getting... monotonous*... but, those are my reasons, and I hope you guys don't mind.
* D'ohohohohoh~!
EDIT: fixed alias, made it easier to read

Hahaha... Awesome! I appreciate the self-awareness. Sometimes it is humorous, but then, in my recent post in which Shy looks to Eli, I had to try to remember if he had put his mask back on. So, the reminder totally helped.
=)

Cernan the Patient |

Sorry to leave it hanging, Angelina. I PbP mostly at work, and it all depends on when there's downtime during my experiments.

Cernan the Patient |

Yeah... this is part of why, in most games, I generally don't post my character's reactions/inner monologue to something that several other characters have already reacted to similarly.
That said, you guys are keeping me entertained through another long night at work, so carry on.

Previously, at the stream, spoilering for out of sequence:
** spoiler omitted **
Huzzah! Someone making use of the Flextime system! :D

Elysium "Eli" Blackdun |

.
.
.
Example of what I mean by voting:
EXAMPLE 1
- in Gameplay, you post something like
"I think we should follow where the spirit leads!" Eli states, in a monotone, despite the exclamation mark.
- in Discussion, you post something like
Just in case that wasn't clear, I really think we should do something rather than nothing. Being paralyzed by indecision is a bad thing, m'kay? So I called a vote.
EXAMPLE 2
- in Gameplay, you post something like"I think we should follow where the spirit leads!" Eli states, in a monotone, despite the exclamation mark.
Just in case that wasn't clear, I really think we should do something rather than nothing. Being paralyzed by indecision is a bad thing, m'kay? So I called a vote.
----------------------
In general, I don't know what's easier. Option two puts everything in less posts, but option 1 should lead to easier accounting. I dunno - I just suggest when we're trying to actually cast a vote that we all do it the same way, whichever way that is.
Also, if any of you have specific ideas of things that are not mentioned so far, don't hesitate to post them, in character or over hear to get a "feel" for it before hand. If you post it here, we can discuss it a bit before your character suggests it, so that might be a good idea. I... probably should have done that.
Anyway, what do you guys think?

GM Angelina |

I think you're over-thinking things. :)
Just post what your character would say in gameplay.
Then, once a bunch of people have posted, a character should proclaim a final decision, and unless there is any very strong dissent, that course of action will be followed.
If possible, try not to majorly split the party.
If you do want to discuss something in particular out-of-character, post here.
Cool? :)

Natanja Ogenj |

Even if we all returned to Vigilant, a few of us could enter the town, make discreet inquiries into "Uncle Max" and find him and hand over Gina to his care (once we know he's okay to care for her) and leave a warning with him. I say this because of Eli's concerns that we will be blamed for Endurant's demise somehow ... especially if we enter and disclose as a group of 14. Just thought it might be another option ...

Cernan the Patient |

The party's big enough that we could pretty easily split into two 6-8 person balanced parties and handle things without too much hassle—except for the GM, who of course gets the say that matters in whether it's a problem or not.

GM Angelina |

Arabeth, and others seeking a summary of information:
In character, it makes sense that, with bits of info coming from 14 different people, and with so many pieces of the puzzle still missing, a character certainly might feel like the information they have is a bit disjointed ... and that makes a lot of sense for the in-character situation.
However, if you as a player would like a more organized information dump on recent findings, click on the campaign info tab, and click on "Game Post 7 - Approaching Endurant" and "Game Post 8 - Searching Endurant" and go ahead and read all the spoilers, except for the one appraising the cart contents, because no one succeeded at the appraise check. The other information has pretty much been shared and could easily come up again in bits of morning conversation.
Cernan, Natanja, and others curious about splitting up the group:
If you all return to Vigilant, and then split into two groups for a while to do two different things, that would probably be fine. Probably.

GM Angelina |

Natanja or Eli or Cernan or Kaya or Marius or Kiwyn or any other character who was present for the Gina conversation:
One or two of you may want to make an in-character post in gameplay of what you would say to the others who weren't present about who Gina is and what she remembers.
That way they'll get a summary of the important parts of the conversation and know what their characters know about it.
