Don't feel like you have to avoid posting anything else in gameplay, though.
I was just hoping to put the next gameplay post toward the top of a page rather than the bottom.
But, if you haven't had a chance to do a wrap up post for the day, and if you want to, you still can.
Also, Eli, do feel free to post a response to Natanja and Azmaria.
Peace to all! :)

Oh, good, because I just did.

Huzzah!
I posted a lot of stuff in prose instead of in-character text, and very little in the way of dialogue, but that's to serve dual purposes:
1) to help the other players know what's going on
2) to make sure everything that needs to be distributed can be
3) to ensure that everyone has a chance to respond to everything, in general

Brit/Chap... Would you prefer for your character to be referred to as Brit or as Chap in my future posts? I'm thinking probably Chap, since that's the way you introduced yourself to the group. If so, you might also want to change it to Chap on Cernan's spreadsheet.
Everyone, please update your character's info on Cernan's party-at-a-glance spreadsheet, which can be viewed using the link under Cernan's name in any of his posts, or in his profile. If you can view the spreadsheet but not change it, then please post any desired changes/additions here in a post labeled "Cernan's Chart" for Cernan to update when he has a chance.
Thanks! :)
Cernan the Patient |
The spreadsheet should be editable by anyone who has the link, although I can change that if it makes people uncomfortable.
I basically just thought it would be a headache-saver for myself, but anyone is free to edit or repost it.

Updated self on the chart.
Cernan, is it possible for you to share the link in a non-URL way, so that GM Angelina could copy/paste it into the Campaign Tab? That way it doesn't matter where/when you post, anyone could access it at any time.
That might work out well, over-all.
GM Angelina, you probably already know this, but when he shares it that way (if he can) you can simply Quote him, then copy/paste the thing into:
url=www.replacethispartwiththelink.com]Character Spreadsheet[/url
... with [ and ] on the ends, as appropriate.
It is important to quote him, however, otherwise the url will be broken in a semi-random location and the link won't work.
Natanja Ogenj |
This is the url for Cernan's spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1vBlpvG6uO_f70j7fp0JK5stznb2kpPJmS2u RWJ2EzuE/edit#gid=0
I added the link to my own profile page after he posted it on the board.
Elysium "Eli" Blackdun |
Does it work like that? Have you tested it? I've had trouble in the past doing things like that by myself, which is why I suggested he use the "Share" option (if there is one) instead of just copy/pasting the link at the top of the document myself. If it works, though, that's great!
Cernan the Patient |
Assuming you're using one of the three or four main browsers, you can right click on a url and select "Copy Link." I could also just copy and paste it.

Done! Link to PC Spreadsheet is now under Campaign Info. Thanks, guys!
Those of us posting on iPads and such still can't change it, though, but we'll rely on those of you who can.
Aeryth, if you want someone to add something for you, just post here, and I'm sure someone on a computer will be willing to fill it in for you. :)

When Eli mentions about the funds provided and the speil about 'not his', he takes slight offense to the fact he may or may not be implying Vincent would give it to others. He is smart enough to know that the funds were given to help in getting to or providing aid to Endurant.
This... makes me smile. It was not aimed at you, at all, but I can very easily see how Vincent would take it that way. And who knows? Perhaps Eli did mean that. It's hard to tell behind that mask.

Asking for General Advice on weaponry:
- Pickaxe 14 g
- Scythe 18 g
- Heavy Flail 15g
- Glaive-guisarme 12g
- Longbow (composite) 100g
These are pretty decent weapons that I'm thinking of picking up (granting lots of options), but Eli also has a kind of "humble" thing going on, considering he carries a staff, sling, and rocks. I do kind of like that (I'm aware that his armor is no longer 'humble' looking - I needed some survival). What do you guys think? Should I load him up on weapons? Should I only take weapons that can be passed off as commoner's tools?
Out-of-game, Eli doesn't have a very impressive strength score (10), and his euphoria can only increase anything he has by +4 - significant, but not tremendously so.
I built him to specifically not really need lots of weapons... but I also don't want to burden the party, should it come to battle. We've enough players that combat is likely to be well-covered, by sheer numbers, if nothing else... but there is, as I've learned, always the possibility that it just wasn't quiiiiite "enough".
I'm considering the longbow (for hunting), pickaxe, and scythe, if nothing else, as those can all be explained away as tools-turned-weapons... but I'm also considering "nothing else" as an option.
Thanks for the advice, regardless of what I end up taking or not!
This game has really interesting characters...
Cernan the Patient |
Javelin has no advantage over a bow with a low strength; and a longbow will let you carry a few special arrows, like blunt or raining, that may be useful for fighting certain sorts of enemies.
Being a caster, Eli would also benefit from either a shield (that would have to be mithral) or a 2-hander. An earth breaker might be stretching things a little bit, but would also be rather useful (and maybe just look like a construction hammer).
For reasons of two-handing, a scythe would probably be more useful than a sickle, while a proper woodcutter's axe (which you could probably stat as a battle-ax).
Elysium "Eli" Blackdun |
I won't be an actual caster for two more levels... :D
(Right now I'm a lower hit points Barbarian with a special and specific pre-selected rage power.) :)
Marius Rizallo |
I'm a big fan of handaxes because you can throw them, and that's awesome. In terms of usefulness, I think a scythe or greataxe (flavored as a really, really large woodcutter's axe) would be ideal for smacking stuff around.
Then again, with a relatively low strength, you might want to focus more on a mid-range kind of style, using javelins/pilums/whatever and maybe a longspear. That would give you a lot of versatility while not compromising the 'humble' flavor.
Elysium "Eli" Blackdun |
Thank you for the suggestions.
I will acquire a composite longshortbow, and a scythe. a longbow. Thanks again, all.
EDIT: I changed from composite longbow to shortbow because I ran short on funds. I would need 118 for both the composite longbow and the scythe. I'm at 85. Oops! After running through what I had and what I could get, I'd say that, for now, the longbow is the most useful, versatile of the weapons.
EDIT: fixing tags and coding
Cernan the Patient |
That might be more thematic; a short or longbow is more of a peasant's weapon, for hunting or fighting off wolves and bandits, while a composite bow has far more of a military implication.

@Eli: I'm confused as to the allocation of Angelina's funds. At first Eli allocated funds to each person (and some refused to take the coin) and now I read that Eli is handing out coin for food and supplies to each person. Please clarify.
Elysium "Eli" Blackdun |

Eli handed individual funds first, but some were retained in the box. Some refused, and that also went into the box of group funds.
The initial release was individual mission funds. The second release is group mission funds.
Now he's releasing group funds from the box for non-specific concerns i.e. food and basic mounts.
He requested that two groups were formed in order to tackle shopping quickly, but the money he is handing out now is not individual. He spent his own individual allocated money on his stuff, but box/group funds on food and mounts.
If you want a military saddle or war-trained creature, you'll yave to get it yourself, but a basic mount, its food, and saddles should be covered. If you get an individual creature (like Aeryth and Liseth), it'll probably be better/custom to your tastes.
If you do, let me know. I've already noted the money we spent/get back on my sheet (see "The Box" under my items), so if you choose something else (like a war-trained mule or horse), let me know, so I can adjust it.
Does that help?
EDIT: the first was, "for you for the mission", and the second was, "for us all, for the mission" - does that help?
EDITED: for presentation and hopeful clarity.

just a note some of my post may be rather short.
I am in extreme pain everytime I type..looks like Carpal Tunnel.
I see a doctor tomorrow, but last night I was DMing a PFS game and I was in such pain that i even avoided rolling dice every chance I could.
I lay in bed wondering if I should go to the ER for pain killers, or something.
little better today...hope to get better and will probably need surgury

Get well soon, Azmaria—and I'd recommend avoiding typing at all until you see a doctor.
Elysium "Eli" Blackdun |
Even if you would prefer to "pass" on the mule, Eli would get it, unless you typically travel at 40 ft or faster somehow.
It's only if you get a different mount that you need to let me know.
The reasons are time and speed: moving more quickly is important and Chap (and some others?) hurried off ahead before people could go shop. To that end, it becomes important for everyone to have one to speed things up, somewhat.
Eli has a speed that can catch up with most folk on his own. Mounts are for everyone else (and also carrying stuff).
These are not (currently) combat beasts, and they're not meant to weigh folk down in combat or even be in combat much at all. But they're there to keep everyone together and carry stuff. :)
