Rail trails do make for a easy fun ride. Up here near Boston, we often have to share with pedestrians, kids, rollerskaters, and occasionally people on those ridiculously space consuming things that go forward by swinging side to side. (Though they must be a great workout per inch advanced because they look so inefficient.) So you can't count on making good time.

I have a spot open in the CotCT I'm running if anyone would be interested. They are near the end of the second book, and just hit level 6. Originally Dreaming Warforged had joined me, but then as you saw they decided to stop playing PbP, so I'm back to having a spot.
I also have a spot in my Mummy's Mask game, where they are about halfway through the first book (getting close to finishing the second site).
Bear in mind, I have some houserules that may not gel with some (posted in the Mummy's Mask campaign tab, and just hadn't put them in the campaign tab for CotCT yet). Please look at them before deciding, as they have been a deal breaker before.

We are leaving for vacation today (Mississippi to see my folks, New Orleans because it is nearby, New York for fun and friends, and Pittsburgh for friends and to look into a job opportunity. Other than travel days I don't imagine I'll be all that absent, but if you find yourselves waiting for me go ahead and npc my guy.

Kira Valerious |

HP: 1d8 ⇒ 1 So add 4HP...
Favored class bonus, extra spell.
Feat: precise shot
Teamwork feat: coordinated shot
These two combine really well.....
I'll update profile later....
Lend Judgment looks alike a nice awesome little spell though....

Jod Eastwind |

The work to level Jod is complete, just not in his character sheet online yet.
He gains the Quick Draw feat and an adaptation (infiltrator ability) which grants him Darkvision for a limited time each day - 30 minutes currently.
Picked up ranks in Handle Animal, Intimidate, Know (Geography), Know (planes), Perception, Stealth, Survival.
Next level, he gets Hunter's Bond, and I'm leaning toward an animal companion, so I mention it early in case there are restrictions to the choices while we are in the vicinity of the Worldwound.

Mulluq'Tar Sheptat |

Okay, mostly done, just need to decide on a mercy.
BaB: +1
Ref: +1
HP: +1d10 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 2 + 1 = 10 (Con+FC)
Feat: Eldritch Heritage (Brutal)
Skill points: 1 ea to Diplomacy and Sense Motive
Abilities: Aura of Courage, Divine Health, Mercy of...
Opinions on which Mercy to take? I'm thinking Shaken. Sickened has worse effects (since it also hurts damage) but doesn't come up as much. Fatigued can be useful too, but I'm just not feeling it. Is Shaken a good one to take?

Jod Eastwind |

As Aubrey says, go with your instincts; if shaken feels useful, take it.
I have a 20th level paladin with a full complement of mercies that I almost never remember I have. I need to look into that more before he gets retired in the next few months.

Mulluq'Tar Sheptat |

Kira fully updated. Detect evil at Will, no more relying on Mulluq....
So... so .. you're saying you don't need me...? *sniff* It's okay, I can take it.
Anyways, so yeah, I'm going to go ahead and take Shaken. I feel like fear is a good thing to protect against when fighting demons, more than sickness or fatigue.

Oh, I still need you to stand at the front taking damage! :D

Lol, if I wasn't too honest, I don't know if I would feel I was playing a paladin well. :)
Comment from the game thread.
It's tricky as a paladin when your companions are lying, perhaps for a good reason, but you can't lie yourself. My paladins tend to go into 'strong, silent type' mode on such occasions, but even then I have had DMs make me roll bluff checks to hide disapproval!
I was playing a paladin in CotCT, where there was an evil party member. As a player I was well aware of the fact, but the character was not, and it would have played havoc with party unity (not to mention keeping his paladin code) if he found out. The evil character (a thief going for assassin prestige class) had a cover as a very respectable merchant. He had a high bluff check and I deliberately didn't give the paladin any ranks in Sense Motive for the first part of the campaign. We agreed as players that the rogue would always be careful not to stand near (or in front of) the paladin when he was detecting evil, but it became increasingly difficult to believably keep my character in the dark when the rogue's enemies kept falling so easily (poison use) and to why the rogue had all these sound-proof rooms (prison cells and torture chambers) in his warehouse. Fortunately the rogue character retired from the campaign before it became too great an issue.

I'm unsure if Kira is actually just teasing Mulluq, like for always taking things way too seriously. Maybe it's just some opportunity to get back at Arakan for all the insults he delivers to Jareen. ;)

![]() |

It's a mix of teasing, and genuine concern. She likes Mulluq, and now that he's shown himself to be true she has a certain loyalty to him that means she doesn't want him throwing his life away as he keeps saying he ultimately will.

Kaygan Veer |

I think getting a wand of CLW and sticking it with one of our healers is a good idea. We could afford one, even two out of the 200pp from Horgus and still have change for other purchases.
Kira and Rhok are probably the two most obvious candidates for such a wand.
I would like Kaygan to be able to buy a few scrolls so he is not so useless once he runs out of spells.

![]() |

7 of us so 107.14 for one or 214.29 for 2.
I'll need to get some scrolls of Lesser Rejuvenate Eidolon and restock on cold iron crossbow bolts and probably get some basic staples for post apocalypse adventuring. I could kick in on either 1 or 2 (still have 50 gp from character creation), but 2 wands is going to prevent most folks from getting anything other than party wands.
So, 1 for now?

![]() |

So let's say we spend 750gp of Horgus' 200pp (2000gp) on a wand of CLW to give to either Rhok or Kira.
That leaves 178gp, 5sp, 7cp per character from that lot of treasure.
I'm not sure if there is other treasure in the party kitty to divide (not that Kaygan has a share of I don't think).

Jod Eastwind |

Jod would be happy to kick in extra as well. His buy list consisted of potions of CLW or weapon upgrades. I don't think he can afford the latter and a wand would more than make up for the former.

![]() |

I think 1 wand is fine. By the time we have expended it, we will hopefully have acquired enough resources to get another at a point where it doesn't require spending more or less the entire wealth of the party (as getting 2 would do now.) If Mothy and I kick in on the first wand and have very little to put towards a second one, you don't have enough funds to buy a 2nd one split 5 ways even if you put in the whole amount of your 5 shares.
It isn't terribly expensive, but we should all be getting some type of cold iron weapons while we are here. Mothy and I will both need to invest in scrolls to remain useful beyond our 3rd encounter of the day.

![]() |

Nevynxxx was tracking treasure. He'd have the best handle on it. It wasn't much. Horgus was our best haul excepting Radiance.
I'll take Ithers' suggestion and get some cold iron arrows and a couple more daggers in special flavors. I'll find a better shortbow too.
Anevia can keep the quarterstaff, and I'll write off the leather armor left with the molefolk.
That should leave me a little cash if anyone needs some.
Edit: the treasure link on Kira's page isn't working. No help there.

![]() |

Ok, treasure. The wiki is working fine for me. (Edit: The link was wrong, that's why! Fixed now)
We actually have a group wand of CLW it has 12 charges remaining. Not sure if that matters to anyone?
Other than that, I can only see the 200pp we got from horgus so that's about all the cash we have.

I'm looking at kicking off a Pathfinder Society PbP. Some of us have done this in the past and the short society modules work quite well for PbP as they are quite short so go pretty quick.
I'm looking for willing victims^w participants to play. I have the list of scenarios I own below, and I'm signing up to the society module subscrition, so I'll have all of season 8 as they release to play with too....
I think trying to run through season 6 as much as possible, sticking other stuff in is may favored option. Although that quest (a set of 6 modules starting at L1) looks quite interestng too.
Anyone interested please PM me, so we don't totally threadjack these discussions!

Jod Eastwind |

Jod has sold the items he collected on the climb to the surface and upgraded his falchion to masterwork, leaving him with a little cash yet. This is after his contribution to the party CLW wand.
He's ready to proceed to the next stop on the tour of the city.
