Mulluq'Tar Sheptat |

Sorry for my recent silence. I have a business trip coming up next week and have been trying to prepare. I promise I will post tomorrow. I may have more time for posting next week depending on how good the wifi is at the hotel (since I will have nothing but time at the hotel).

Mulluq'Tar Sheptat |

Well, there are 4 of them, and 6 of us. Mulluq would refuse to take any of them if the others could use them. Besides he has his natural resists and his smite.

Jod Eastwind |

I think Jod will be a frontliner, but he is pretty ignorant about magic. He will accept whatever he is told will work best for him. Myself, I have to agree with Nev's assessment.

Not sure how good a job I'll do, but anyone is free to help. Tracking XP Here with lnks back to the posts it's given in.
I'm doing a similar thing for the players in the game I'm running.
I'll do the same with treasure I think when we get any, though that gets a bit more complicated.

![]() |

Thanks, tracking this stuff in one place will be really helpful, for me as well as you. One the xp and treasure front, just a reminder that we are on the medium xp track. Normally I run on the fast but for this one the xp is handed quite generously anyway so I decided not to change it.
On a related note, don't forget to distribute Terendelev's Scales - it's not often four artefacts are just handed out at the beginning of an AP.

Ok, I say give Jod sacred weapon. Sol Disguse. Then either Hannik or Rhok the resistance one.
If Hannick got it, would it apply to her summoned creature too? (which may make the best yuse of it?).
Kira's claimed cloud walking ;)

I guess I got used to rolling my own "dice" (I use a Excel random-number generator) and never caught up when Paizo introduced the dice function.
Also, my combat outputs tend to look like this:
5' step to P21. I'm firing on the musicians until they fall in this order - M3, then M6, then M2, then M5. I'll just eat the AoO from P26.
Attack 1: 8+19+1(PBS)+1(haste)=AC 29, damage 2d8+6+2(PBS)=20 + 10 fire + 3 electricity.
Attack 2: 10+19+1+1=AC 31, damage 1d8+3+1=8 + 4 fire + 2 electricity.
Attack 3: 11+14+1+1=AC 27, damage 1d8+3+1=10 + 5 fire + 1 electricity.
Attack 4: 12+9+1+1=AC 23, damage 1d8+3+1=8 + 2 fire + 5 electricity.
Attack 5 (bonus from haste): 19!+19+1+1=AC 40, confirm roll 9+19+1+1=AC 30, damage 1d8+3+1=9x3=27 + 5 fire + 2 electricity.Gil, then Nevharath.
Doing it by hand helps me keep the bonuses and penalties straight and labeled. But if the dice function supports text, I'll be happy to change over.

Attack 1: 1d20 + 6 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 6 + 3 + 1 = 15 So the roller ignores the text. {dice= Attack 1] 1d20+6+3fire +1 electricity[/dice}
Looks like you'd have to list text outside the roller command.
Attack 1: 1d20 + 6 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 6 + 3 + 1 = 20 fire,electricity
Darn it! I wasted a 10.

Mulluq'Tar Sheptat |

I avoid putting my titles in the dice brackets, because I don't like either the color or the spacing it uses for them.
Normally, I ooc the whole thing, and drop the die rolls in where they appear in the flow.
e.g.
Long sword attack on enemy 1, 1d20 + 4 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 4 + 1 + 2 = 25 (Bless and Flank), damage 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Hmmm, we're lucky that James pretty much goes to bed at 7.30. Is she at nursery yet?
Anyway, this week has been a bit spotty for me too. Work to complete by year end and struggling with the mother of all colds (I had a flu jab - what for?). However, it should be done by today.

Yeah 7pm is bedtime for ours, except on Cub and Beaver nights, or special occasions. The big ones don't actually sleep till past 8 I don't think, but they go to bed. Think I'd go mad if they were up 'till 10 and I didn't get some down time....
Aubs, flu jab probably gave it you ;)

@Vatters and Ithers.
Guys, you are clearly struggling to post, in this game and in the other two with me as well. Are things OK?
Very sorry about the extent of this absence. I pretty much annually have a couple weeks of almost no posting from mid December to the New Year due to work. This year I was expecting that to be minimized but instead it started early and was worse due to staffing issues. I tend to be overly optimistic thinking I'm going to have time to catch all this up...tomorrow... ok, the next day... until I'm just worn out and really down about it. Normal life resumes now.
However, when my daughter rarely falls asleep before 10, I get very short nights...
Glad to know we are not alone here. 10-11pm too many nights.

When my boy was that young, Chris and I were both working long days. We didn't finish dinner til 7. He was up til 9 because we wanted to spend some time all together.
This is basically our deal too. Mrs Ith gets home closer to 7. Preparing and having dinner, bath time, story time and lights aren't out until around 9:30 at best. Then he never wants to sleep.

I'd expect an inquisitor to be more zealously hardline than a cleric since the inquisitor is less about thinking than doing, especially in a Lawful Hierarchical outfit like Iomedae's. But it's all good. You might need to consider your alignment, though. You don't seem especially Lawful right now.
Paizo seem to disagree with you ;) Grim and determined, the inquisitor roots out enemies of the faith, using trickery and guile when righteousness and purity is not enough. Although inquisitors are dedicated to a deity, they are above many of the normal rules and conventions of the church. They answer to their deity and their own sense of justice alone, and are willing to take extreme measures to meet their goals.
Role: Inquisitors tend to move from place to place, chasing down enemies and researching emerging threats. As a result, they often travel with others, if for no other reason than to mask their presence. Inquisitors work with members of their faith whenever possible, but even such allies are not above suspicion.
Show me enemies of the faith, and I'll show you a person following a hard-line in lawful and good. The rest is talk to fit in.
Kira doesn't really care *what* people of other faiths are doing, until the point at which they go against Iomedae.
Apart from anything else, what would you say she's doing that isn't "lawful"?

![]() |

Well, she's quite relaxed about and chummy with the demon-spawn she's hanging with. Her comments about Torag having other stuff to do seemed a bit, I dunno, flippant. Stuff like that. I'm not asking Kira to change or anything, she's a good foil for Mulluq - every party needs its double-act. And ordinarily I wouldn't really be bothered, except that alignment has some quite important mechanical implications in this campaign because of the nature of the enemy.
In the end, alignment is a bit of a troublesome concept, conflating mechanical and roleplaying issues in ways that make it difficult to pin down. You don't have to change anything you don't want to. But I was expecting a young inquisitor in a faith with a lot of hierarchy and a militaristic outlook, if they are described as Lawful Good, to be a bit less, I dunno, subversive. There is certainly a place for a person with a less rigid outlook in the Church of Iomedae but you get the impression that the crusader-knight ideal doesn't really have room for a sense of the absurd. Which is why I wondered if Neutral-Good might be a better fit.
These are just my opinions, of course. I'd obviously be interested in views from the floor.

Jod Eastwind |

Sorry about my radio silence - my life partner and I have found ourselves in a influenza hot zone with an ineffective vaccine. I only have time to pop in to let you know I yet live.

![]() |

Ewwww.... I hope it passes quickly for you!
As far as Kira goes. I sort of see what you mean, but you seem to be implying that to be lawful, she has to be "stuffy". She can be lawful and have a sense of humour I think.
As far as Gods go. They are provably real in Golarion, and provably have *other things to do*. What she said is probably true, as much as it would be borderline blasphemous in our world, it's just a fact on Golarion.
As far as mulluq goes, she's not detected Evil from him, and has been told that her superiors haven't either. Until he does something that makes her think other wise, she's seeing him as a bit of a drama queen at the moment.
Take her alignment from her actions I think is what I'm trying to say, rather than her words.

Jod Eastwind |

I think we have weathered the storm, but it has really destroyed any semblance of order and routine. Everyone's back at their work for at least a couple days, but this is the first time I've even powered up my computer since it all fell apart.

therealthom |

A bit confused about Sol's damage - I can get his add to +2 but not +3 - but it doesn;t make a difference here.
Looks like I messed up, cause I think his ranged attack modifiers are 1 too high also. Maybe I had higher strength and dex on an early version of Sol's stats. I don't know. Anyway I've lowered his to hit and damage modifiers across the board. Quarterstaff being a two handed weapon, is 1.5 of +1, 1 or 2? The extra +1 on dagger damage comes from river rat trait.
