Kira stoically keeps up her attack on the mongralman next to her.
[dice=Atk M6] 1d20 + 3 (+1bab,+1str+1magic weapon) [dice=dmg] 1d8 + 3(+1 str, +1 magic weapon, +1 judgement)
Urgh, never good when your attack scores the same as your damage roll!
Admittedly he had some nice attack rolls too.

I never see numbers like that on my rolls either. My friend the gunslinger usually does ok, but he was so (understandably) proud of that roll that he published the results in his other games. The DM's next post describing the utter dismantling of his monster is pretty good too.

By the way, did I notice you've got a more permanent academic job now?
Yes and no. It is a better job - better pay, better hours and, frankly, better students. However, it is still part-time without any benefits, and the contract is for one year.
Having said that, there seems to be a good chance of this job leading to a more permanent position in a year or so. Fingers crossed!

Mulluq'Tar Sheptat |

Okay, I'm taking next week off of work. Not traveling or anything, but since my comp recently crapped out, my posting may be slower and sporadic until I get it fixed (hopefully shortly), while I'm away from my work computers.

Mulluq'Tar Sheptat |

So my computer issue is an inop laptop motherboard. So my options are limited to buy a new one, or replace/fix it for close to the price of a new one. Ugh!

The potions are:
4 potions of Cure Light Wounds (someone identified one of them, and since they are all the same, I'll let you have the lot)
1 potion of Cure Moderate Wounds
1 potion is Invisibility
The wands are:
Longstrider (10 charges)
Spiritual Weapon (8 charges)
There are also two scrolls I forgot to mention. Since someone can just drop a Read Magic, they are:
1 scroll of Cause Fear
1 scroll of Comprehend LanguagesPlease determine the divvying of the treasure (possibly in the Discussion thread) and then we can move on.
I've updated the page ont he wiki with that info.
I'd suggest giving a cure potion to everyone except Kira (there are 5 potions and 6 of us.... and Kira can to some extent heal herself.) with the moderate version going to the person who spends most time int he front line (Mulluq?).
The wands should go to whoever can use them without a UMD check.... (Kira can use the spiritual weapon one).
The scrolls to whoever can use them (Kira can if no one else).

- a masterwork longbow
- 3 masterwork chain shirts
- 2 masterwork glaives
- a masterwork scythe
- a bejewelled book of prayers to Baphomet
- a dose of antitoxin
- 2 alchemists fire
- a tanglefoot bag
- a small key
- a letter (on the female cultist leader's body)
- 86gp
If no one wants one of the chain shirts, Sol will trade up to MW quite gladly.
He's not proficient with any of the weapons, but can play mule for them if others don't want to be weighed down. Also willing to carry the key or letter if no one else wants it.
Since he's often crowded out by more effective combatants, it makes sense for him to be a walking dispensary of curatives. He'll take the antitoxin, and one of the CLW potions.
Likewise he could toss the thrown alchemical items over the lines at enemies.

Jod Eastwind |

Jod will take a masterwork glaive for those cases where he's in the second rank and cannot reach for melee, but he will drop it in favor of his falchion every time, so it's not a priority for him to get one.
For sake of keeping the requests in the same thread, Jod would like the longbow and the ~15 arrows the owner had - just checking, would my shortbow arrows be usable on the longbow? I don't think the game makes a distinction.
Obviously, he would love to have a cure potion (might use it right now, in fact), but the other magic items are currently lost on him. (I don't think he can use the longstrider wand until he's fourth level and has a caster level - is that right?)

![]() |

Arrows is arrows, so it makes no difference if they are for a short bow or longbow.
The rules re wands and stuff (spell trigger items) is that you can use them if your class can cast them, even if you can't cast spells yet. So Jod can use the Longstrider wand. See p458 of the Core Rulebook.

Jod Eastwind |

OK. I was thinking the paladin and the ranger were exceptions because they lacked a caster level until they reached fourth level and could actually cast spells.
OK, I'm going to claim a MW glaive and the MW longbow and 15 arrows and a single CLW potion.
The longstrider wand I will accept if no one else is interested/excited about it, but it's not Jod's nature to look for things like that. Yet.

No final decisions have been made regarding gear split, so this is what people have said + my suggestion for the rest of it. If you want to swap something note it here. Once you have added these items to your character sheet, please say so over here so that we know everything is marked.
Rhok:
- Wand of Spiritual Weapon (8 charges)
- 1 scroll of Cause Fear
- 1 Potion of CLW
- 14 gp
Jod:
- Wand of Longstrider (10 charges)
- 1 masterwork glaive
- a masterwork longbow + 15 arrows
- 1 potion of CLW
- 14 gp
Mulluq:
- 1 potion of CMW
- 15 gp
Kira:
- a bejewelled book of prayers to Baphomet
- 1 potion of Invisibility
- 15 gp
Sol:
- 1 potion of CLW
- 1 scroll of Comprehend Languages
- 1 masterwork chain shirt
- a dose of antitoxin
- a tanglefoot bag
- 1 alchemists fire
- a small key
- a letter (on the female cultist leader's body)
- 14 gp
Hannik:
- Masterwork chain shirt
- 1 potion of CLW
- 1 alchemists fire
- 14 gp
Unclaimed, or upgraded:
- 2 masterwork chain shirts
- 1 masterwork glaive
- a masterwork scythe
- Hannik's old studded leather armor
- Sol's old chain shirt
- Jod's old short bow
I would suggest leaving the unclaimed stuff here on the floor. We finish our exploration and once the complex is clear we can either lug it back to the mongrelman village and possibly barter for healing items and other stuff or lug it back to the surface.
EDIT: or donate it to the mongrelmen since they will be using it to come to Kenabres aid.

Mulluq'Tar Sheptat |

Sorry for my continued absence, but on top of my computer being out of commission, I'm in a class for work all week. So, I am unable to post from there either. I should be back to it by Sunday.

Mulluq'Tar Sheptat |

I actually used the name Lesh for a goblin character I had. I was learning Russian at the time, and it was one of the translations for goblin (looking it up now, it is specifically 'wood goblin' or 'sylvan')
