My home computer blew up last night, not sure if it'll be fixed in a hurry, or if I need a new one, or what. Posting might be a bit disrupted.

Ouch...i hope you had everything in a back up drive.
Cookie Jar Pilferer 9 ; Dimensional Explorer 4
I can sympathize, Aubrey. My home computer's been dying a long slow death by obsolescence. Like Will I hope you had back ups.

No, although its a few photos I have actual prints of in albums so it's not a biggie. Possibly I can get it fixed, or I'll have to buy a new one (although a similar spec machine is now cheaper and better performing than the one I have now, albeit its an expense I could do without).

Sorry to hear about your computer, Aubrey. Hope you didn't lose anything important.
M Humanborn
Aubrey if the hard drive still works you could get a slave cable (about $20 USD) which will let you get any important files off of it by treating it as an external hard drive and accessing it from any computer.

Thanks for the advice.
I forgot about my home laptop (on which I am now typing) and so can get full access using this. My desktop is now at the shop - he reckons it's a graphics card problem, but hasn't fixed it yet.
Cookie Jar Pilferer 9 ; Dimensional Explorer 4
Lucky its the desktop graphics card. At least they are often replaceable. My laptop graphics went, but it was soldered to the motherboard. Good luck R&Ring that.

Yup i had the same problem with my laptop.... couldn't replace the graphics card

On my troubles with the computer, the guy couldn't get the machine to play up and couldn't find anything wrong with it. I've got it back now and it's working perfectly. But I am now ever-watchful for betrayal by my silicon nemesis.

I hate that. It's like when your car breaks down, and then you spend the next month wondering about every little squeak or rattle.
Ebon, thanks for taking Rehil's turn. Sorry about the delay guys. Work has turned ugly this week.

I know. You did set it up nicely for him. Take down L5 and sweep into the enemy's flank virtually unspotted. L8 might take another arrow shot at him, but he'd be behind the other two. Sneak attacks galore! If his hit points held out. I'm thinking about that potion.
Cole and Wultram down. A smattering of wounded. Three fresh lizardmen....

Oouuch!
It's not looking so good now. Rehil's on 1 hp.
Grazzat down 2 con has 9 hp -18 is -9 hp . Current con is 15.
6 rounds to death if he doesn't stabilize.
Portforged just spent the last of his power.

well i built Nalverren before it was clarified that his main class ability (that he hasnt gotten yet) doesnt work with ranged combat. so if he doesnt die, i will be asking to tweak him a bit (when a story-appropriate time comes)

Nalvarren, I just noticed you seem to have given yourself some traits. We aren't playing traits in this game.

Regarding my level-up: the investigator's main ability (studied strike and studied combat) were clarified to only work on melee attacks after this character was made (the wording was iffy and the stance and reason were clarified by Stephen Radney-MacFarland).
On that note, would it be alright for me to change my Point-blank Shot to Weapon Finesse?

Aubrey, I don't think I ever got an official response from you on how Rage will affect Cole (as a warforged). Or, more specifically (since he's immune to fatigue) if Cole can flip Rage on and off more-or-less at will.
It won't change much about him except for a few rage powers that are selected.
HP 40/40, AC:15, Fort:+3/Ref:+3/Will:+5 +2 on sleep, stun, paralysis, poison, disease, mind-affect, negative energy effects CMD: 14, Init+1, Perc+1
I tried searching but my google-fu is not up to it. How does HP gained from leveling work between rests? In my case the difference is being at 0hp or at 6.
HP 95/95 Temp 0 :: AC 24 CMD 24 :: Fort +10 Ref +5 Will +8 :: Conditions: none
It would certainly be nice to automatically receive those HP, but Im guessing we'll need to sleep to get them.. or, in Cole's case, repair himself.
HP 95/95 Temp 0 :: AC 24 CMD 24 :: Fort +10 Ref +5 Will +8 :: Conditions: none
Speaking of which... HP: 1d12 ⇒ 10
HP 95/95 Temp 0 :: AC 24 CMD 24 :: Fort +10 Ref +5 Will +8 :: Conditions: none
Also, can we just say Grazzat's dead? Trying to go back and track his HP and resources is kind of a beating. It definitely makes this moment more grim and our situation more threatening, IMO.

He dropped the game back in December citing RL stuff.
Also, Cole's updated to 2nd level. Ready to rock!
Halfling Hp 26/26 AC 22 (+5 Perc; +0 Init; Fort +3, Ref +0, Will +3)
it has been already that long?
I hope i can find some way to "deal" with you cole cause you are a serious drain on healing resources :)
Well at least you eventually have High AC..
HP 95/95 Temp 0 :: AC 24 CMD 24 :: Fort +10 Ref +5 Will +8 :: Conditions: none
Lol. Watch it! I've got decent-to-good AC already... you just happen to have ridiculous AC for our level.
As for healing Cole, ayep... the best bet is likely to be for some of our other caster or caster-analogs to pick up the Repair spells. Wultram would be a good person for this.
I'm also considering picking up a few rage powers to put HP's back on Cole, but he can only use them 1/day ... so not all that reliable. Unfortunately, i'm also entertaining the Superstitious rage power chain... which will make healing Cole all that more tricky. But I'm really not sure if i'm willing to go that direction because of this very problem.

My official response was that I was cool with it.

On the Grazzat front, I think he might be dead anyway but I didn't track it. I agree, a sort-of party death helps concentrate the mind.

Infernal healing would work if we had someone to use it, I think fast healing works normal on warforged. Via wand I mean.

I'm not sure how it would work from a RP perspective, unless we reskin it as a warforged development (Cole being a slightly experimental model).

And it won't come into play any time soon, anyway. I went with Swift Foot as my rage power (I HATE slow characters).
