OK. The game was set in Qbarra and the PCs have effectively stumbled into the middle of some sort of giant experiment, seemingly connected with the Lords of Dust and involving some sort of interference with the Silver Flame. The PCs got caught in the backwash of the energies that resulted and this elevated them to mythic status. The character in question here, Ashshar, was one of two native guides who were helping the other PCs (more than a few of whom are now dead) and so were present with them when the incident happened. (Both Ashshar and Vaard were originally NPCs, but were promoted to PC status as other PCs fell by the wayside.)
The party is now split having travelled to Krezent in the Talenta Plains and having fallen out with the shulassakar (good feathered yuan-ti) and dragons they met there - one lot agreed to cooperate and are still there (though in peril having travelled to view a cavern where the Draconic Prophecy is revealed), the other lot were exiled from Krezent and are now heading across the plains to get to Gatherhold and eventually meet up with the other group (they have a lead in the Lazhaar Principalities to follow up on). Ashshar is with the group which agreed to cooperate.
Ashshar is currently a slayer (2 racial hit dice of lizardman, 4 class levels in slayer). However, the class can be altered as you wish if a slayer isn't what you fancy. I'm not really keen on anything which isn't official Paizo stuff but let me know what ideas you have and I will consider them.

I like your character (although the picture doesn't have enough feathers) and am open to the idea. The fly in the ointment is that this is a mythic game and the PCs have already "ascended" so your character would be at a disadvantage since he won't be mythic (currently relatively minor since they only have a single mythic rank) and the circumstances of their ascension are a bit difficult to immediately reproduce (though not impossible). While it would be an unwritten aim to get your character 'ascended' eventually (assuming he survives, heh heh) it might not happen very quickly ('not very quickly' roughly equalling 'could be a few years in real time'). If you are OK with that, we can roll with it.
To other interested parties please note, this does not impact on Ashshar - I would still like to keep him going as well and find a new player for him if we can.

I'll admit a fondness for "Path of War", but with a Lizardman, I was thinking "Natural Weapons", and reading through some of the posts so far, I see that the "Up Close Rage" position has been filled, so that nixes Barbarian, as I don't want to step on any toes with that. Ranger-ish is where I was going with it, but a strength-ranged weapon character is what's currently prominent in my mind.
One thing that I could not find was the type of Lizardfolk that Ashshar is. The wiki does not mention specifically, and there is a list here that I found, but having a type would give me more of his inclination, as I'm not quite feeling Slayer, but recognize that ranged support is helpful. I'm still reading up on the game to catch up, but I'm definitely interested in writing for him.

He's a Cold Sun (i.e. standard from the Bestiary) lizardfolk.
The main mechanical advantage of being a lizardman is the +5 natural armour bonus. To be frank, don't worry about party positions and so on too much - as a whole the party is pretty well set up to cover the bases. The natural weapons angle is actually a bit of a dead end - a previous version of Vaard (the other lizardman in the party - his original player dropped out too) was a Path of War type who specialised in natural attacks and actually it was a bit underwhelming compared to a good old fashioned (warforged) barbarian. So something ranger-y, fighter-y or barbarian-y would be a solid choice, but I'd maybe stick with manufactured weapons.
Another query - how familiar are you with Eberron?

A thought occurs - you could go monk. There's a lot of them in Krezent so he could be inspired, it sort-of uses natural attacks, and a +5 natural armour bonus would be quite tasty to an otherwise unarmoured character.
By the way, Ashshar is in combat. You can start running him now if you wish (and change him later).

Doesn't bother me in the least. The Divine Mind is an under-par class anyway so I'm used to being below the curve. My Psychic Aura will probably be my primary contribution to the party for quite a while.

*gasp* Oh, how you tempt me with Monk.
The Path of War was more the "Primal Fury" Discipline, more specifically the Brutal Slayer archetype of the Stalker. Since Natural weapons has been done (and was really more of a mental image for me), so manufactured weapons are a go.
I'm reasonably familiar with Eberron, though I didn't get to play too long in it before 3.5 was ended. I've got access to the mention in Dungeon #185 and am looking that over. What nuance am I looking for familiarity?

Dear interested parties
My PbP is looking for another player. It is an Eberron game using mythic rules, with the PCs at 6th level and one mythic tier. Due to the nature of the "ascension" of the PCs, we cannot easily accommodate new characters, but a player for a PC has dropped out and needs replacing for that character. This character is a warforged barbarian. To allow a new player some input into their character, you will be allowed to rejig the character regarding class and so on (though it has to be said, the character's build is actually pretty good and a monster in melee combat).
If you are interested, please either drop us a line on this thread or PM me.
Many thanks!

Hi ! I'm looking to get back into the pbp scene and this may be an interesting jumping in point, If I did so, I'd likely keep the character more or less the same .
Again, this would be something I'd be an amateur at but I'll spend some time looking at the ic thread and refreshing myself on mythic rules in
case you'd be interested in having me !
