Good luck with that, Aubrey. I hope a good night's sleep settles it.

Work truly did bust loose today. May be rough tomorrow too and all weekend. Should be able to post once and let you know about the weekend tomorrow.

(See what i did there? Forge? Warforged? Socleverrightnow!)

You're good!

Yes, go ahead.

HP 95/95 Temp 0 :: AC 24 CMD 24 :: Fort +10 Ref +5 Will +8 :: Conditions: none

Cool. I might or might not have had that narrative fully written up for a day already. :D

Cookie Jar Pilferer 9 ; Dimensional Explorer 4

Nice roll there, Cole. Can Rehil be your friend?

He certainly won't turn down friends. And yah, you gotta love getting to make a first impression like that.

Plus, every bruiser needs artillery cover, right?

Cookie Jar Pilferer 9 ; Dimensional Explorer 4

And scouting.

Male Lizardfolk Draconic* Sorcerer | HP 10/10 | AC 15 |+5 Perc | +2 Init | Fort +3, Ref +2, Will +3

~looks at Cole.~

Right away, sir!

HP 95/95 Temp 0 :: AC 24 CMD 24 :: Fort +10 Ref +5 Will +8 :: Conditions: none

Hey, I'm always happy to make a healer's job easier. I drop little status spoilers in my posts when i'm in combat. Will that be sufficient? Or do you specifically want it in the gray line at the top of the post under my profile name?

Halfling Hp 26/26 AC 22 (+5 Perc; +0 Init; Fort +3, Ref +0, Will +3)

i d rather the gray line as there might more than a day IRL that goes between you getting hit and my action and i might not remember your almost dead :)

HP 95/95 Temp 0 :: AC 24 CMD 24 :: Fort +10 Ref +5 Will +8 :: Conditions: none

Fair enough. Will that work? This should give people a quick idea of where Cole's at... hp, defenses, and current conditions (if any).

Halfling Hp 26/26 AC 22 (+5 Perc; +0 Init; Fort +3, Ref +0, Will +3)

don't know if our DM wants your saves also but what you have works for me..

HP 95/95 Temp 0 :: AC 24 CMD 24 :: Fort +10 Ref +5 Will +8 :: Conditions: none

Cool.

Aubrey, would you like more info in that top line for Cole? I can certainly provide whatever is helpful... especially if Aubrey is going to be making saving throws for us (for expediency).

If I'm the one making all my saving throw rolls, I don't see the point in having it up there. But—like i said—I'm certainly happy to do whatever (i'd just like to have as few places to update my stats as spells/effects come into play as possible)

I'm not bothered, but it is nevertheless useful to have info there so I would not discourage it.

N Warforged HP -10/23 Psion (Nomad) 3

Psst, how do I add the grey status line to my alias?

Go to your profile. Click to edit. Then enter your desired info in the Race field towards the top-left.

I feel like I'm staring down the barrel of an early-game character death... eesh.

I guess I have a Shifter Barb/Ranger mercenary concept chambered.

You're not the only one. This thing could one shot almost all of us. That's what makes it fun.

Agreed.

B'phil, being unable to post in a game that has only just started is not a good sign for future commitment.

Actually, I'm not quite sure what mental aberration led me to post this, since you posted yesterday and I read it. Apologies.

No worries pal!

I'm no stranger to mental aberrations myself so I completely understand how easy it is to make an honest mistake ever now and then.

I do hope that we're able to avoid a tpk though.

Cookie Jar Pilferer 9 ; Dimensional Explorer 4

If we stop missing, I think we'll be OK.

Indeed, the dice have not been kind to our expedition thus far!

By the way, we are on the fast xp track, since it's a PbP and it would be nice for you to level at some stage.

Halfling Hp 26/26 AC 22 (+5 Perc; +0 Init; Fort +3, Ref +0, Will +3)

i am not really keeping track of my xp. I rather have the DM tell when when i level (its more of a surprise bonus that way)

The Exchange

No peeking, please Rarely Accountant 2/Auditor 4/Waster 30

No, I'm afraid you will have to track your xp (and this goes for all of you) because I won't be doing it for you. I have enough to worry about without having to do something which the player should be playing fairly close attention to. I appreciate a lot of DMs just tell you when to level but it's not something I generally do, so please track your xp otherwise you won't level when you should.

By the way...

I've got Mythic Adventures and am wondering if you guys fancy using the stuff out of that. This could conceiveably "go mythic" and it might be fun. Any views?

Halfling Hp 26/26 AC 22 (+5 Perc; +0 Init; Fort +3, Ref +0, Will +3)

Will do.

Haven't had the chance to read / play with them. So its up to you all.

I got it as soon as it came out and I'd be happy to use it:)

Halfling Hp 26/26 AC 22 (+5 Perc; +0 Init; Fort +3, Ref +0, Will +3)

Warforged in 3.5 are living construct. They do not benefit from the Cure Wounds line of spells. They had their own Healing spells called Repaire (light, moderate, serious, ...) Wounds. These do not exist in Pathfinder, as the race does not. Apparently our DM is allowing Living construct to benefit from Cure spell on top of the Repair Spells (or else the CLW would not have worked for you). Living construct can not be repair by craft etc... as they are Living. But do recover hp from sleep / rest etc...

of course that is subject to how the DM wants to run things...

HP 95/95 Temp 0 :: AC 24 CMD 24 :: Fort +10 Ref +5 Will +8 :: Conditions: none

According to the Core Setting book (3.5), they do benefit from Cure Wound spells... just at half-value from the Healing subschool.

And again, from that same book, Warforged can be healed by a repair skill, requiring an appropriate Craft roll and 8 hours of work (gaining back hp equal to the craft roll minus 15).

Am I missing something?

Halfling Hp 26/26 AC 22 (+5 Perc; +0 Init; Fort +3, Ref +0, Will +3)

ha i spoke from memory while i am very familiar with 3.5 i haven't played in Ebberon and since Warforged are setting specific i have never allowed them.

HP 95/95 Temp 0 :: AC 24 CMD 24 :: Fort +10 Ref +5 Will +8 :: Conditions: none

Gotcha. No biggie. I certainly never have all my facts straight.

But you're right, Aubrey could decide that warforged are only healed by being tickled by baby rabbits feet on the third thursday of the lunar month.

.. in which case, anyone got a rabbits foot?

Cookie Jar Pilferer 9 ; Dimensional Explorer 4

Would Rehil's disable device skill provide sufficient RP motivation for him to offer to help?

Halfling Hp 26/26 AC 22 (+5 Perc; +0 Init; Fort +3, Ref +0, Will +3)

Well this is what we know:
CLW work on your or the DM would have said so when i healed you
Repaire light damage also work on you as you were given a potion.

Potion of repair light damage was prefered by the DMNPC over a regular potion of CLW.

This might support the following assumption that CLW work at a reduce efficiency on you...

HP 95/95 Temp 0 :: AC 24 CMD 24 :: Fort +10 Ref +5 Will +8 :: Conditions: none

I'd just assume we're running it according to the ECS unless we hear otherwise from Aubrey.

The Exchange

No peeking, please Rarely Accountant 2/Auditor 4/Waster 30

We are - I assumed you took half benefit from the CLW spell in combat but didn't check.

HP 95/95 Temp 0 :: AC 24 CMD 24 :: Fort +10 Ref +5 Will +8 :: Conditions: none

I did. Cole's DR reduced the damage by 2, then i restored 3 of the CLW's 7 hp, then rage boosted the total by another 2.

Halfling Hp 26/26 AC 22 (+5 Perc; +0 Init; Fort +3, Ref +0, Will +3)

so does the craft skill work?

The Exchange

No peeking, please Rarely Accountant 2/Auditor 4/Waster 30

Yes, it does.

If you want - you can provide an assist roll untrained if you so desire.
