Trog Skulk | HP: 14/14 | Protection: 2

Ah cool....thanks for the info.

Trog Skulk | HP: 14/14 | Protection: 2

So I don't know who wants Tenebrous with them, but he is basically a "cleaner"...sneak thief/assassin who often talks to his crossbow and sniper rifle (each of which is named). He tends to lurk about in shadows both by virtue of his profession and because bright light makes him uncomfortable (a trog by rearing). At 5'6" and 133 lbs he doesn't take up much space.

Trog Skulk | HP: 14/14 | Protection: 2

Maybe he can be picked up by the others outside near where they are approaching, unconscious by the side of the road or something. Or if easier he could just be retconned into the group convoy. Up to you all and the GM.

well since you are a trog and to make your character fit in; I'll write you into the first combat scene which is coming up

M Humanborn

FYI, i'm currently primarily posting from my cell phone, dealing with crappy Hawaii hotel wi-fi (it's like they expect me to go outside or something) for four days until i fly to a different hotel with unknown wi-fi potency for an unknown number of days.

So, while i will be posting, they will be slightly more infrequent and most typically brief.

Copy/pasted to all games.

Remnant Greaser Health 16/16

Stupid question (add it to the list): What up with the blue? Are you folks copy/pasting from another program? I don't see options here to change text color.

Hi Sid,

The protocol on this board is if anything you want to say is out of character you post it in blue.

Just use bb code (ooc) your text here (/ooc)

change the () to [] though.

Most of us are new here too.

Okay, I think I got it.
Thanks.

Anything else I need to know?

So I was thinking that since this is a pbp game I'm going to run initiative in a slightly different way. We'll run initiative as simple as whoever posts first. This includes me as the GM. If for some reason you cant post for a while like you are in Hawaii and everyone or most everyone has already posted then we'll just assume you are in a hold action.

That could be kinda rough, depending on how people post. For instance, say i check and nothing new is up. 1hr later you post celling for actions, and by the time i post again everyone but me has gone and you posted again, i just missed a whole turn.

That is unlikely in my case unless i check in the AM one day and PM the next day, which sometimes happens.

Im fine if that is how you want it, but most typically here, GMs will run initiative in one of the following ways:

For "normal" combats, initiative is rolled. Usually all enemies go on one initiative. PCs who beat that initiative post in any order, then the enemies, then, ALL the PCs go again before the enemies, then all PCs then all enemies etc etc. This benefits high-init PCs initially but after that it is the order folks post. But no one loses a turn.

For "special" combats where particular enemies like bosses or high- and low-initiative enemies are present, they're sometimes broken up, so enemy 1, PC A and PC B, enemies 2-4, PCs C-E, then back to the start. And in each block anyone of that block can post in any order.

Trog Skulk | HP: 14/14 | Protection: 2

In the interest of getting things moving I am willing to spend a fortune point for Tenebrous to use his knife to cut himself free, potentially landing on the moving vehicle if that is what the group does.

HP 16/16 (Protection 2) Mustang HP 75/75 (Protection 11)

I'm happy to go either way man, just waiting to see what everyone else wants to do. Do you have enough fortune points to cut yourself down AND go full "book of eli" Denzel Washington on the crazies? That would be awesome

I'm easy. I was just trying to keep the game moving for everyone. I see most fights being group fights - good guys vs bad guys. So I was going to do action - reaction as there should be plenty of bad guys to go around. I dont want anyone to miss there turn though if that bums them out. I dont want to roll initiative though cause then we're going to have to wait a whole day for everyone to check in,post their rolls, then wait on me to post what is happening. I see that taking about a good day for everyone to check in.

Lets try action-reaction for story telling purposes. We wait for everyone to get their turn unless it has just been too long then they miss their turn (it happens). Initiative will be rolled when needed such as one on one combat or something out of the ordinary is happening.

If anyone feels strongly one way or another please say so. I'm easy going.

HP: 14/14 Truck HP: 150/150 (Protection 14)

Yeah i mean it doesnt truly matter to me as long as I'm not missing a turn.

I can see that it is annoying to have everyone roll initiatives, that takes a day, then first round actions, etc.

HP: 14/14 Truck HP: 150/150 (Protection 14)

Looks like Slim, Chop Shop and Tenebrous are up to spend an FP unless im mistaken to make this epic rescue happen. I can ram the flaming wreck out of the way as well for added sweet imagery

Take it away whenever you're ready. I'll start GMing as soon as you guys hit the overpass.

F Librarian [ Notice: d8 | Shooting: d6 | Parry: 2 | Pace: 6 | Toughness: 5 ]

Had a bunch of trouble connecting to the site last night and now I just noticed that it marked like 8 posts as read even though I didn't see them. Catching up now.

F Librarian [ Notice: d8 | Shooting: d6 | Parry: 2 | Pace: 6 | Toughness: 5 ]

I am totally fine with spending a Fortune Point - though I am not sure whether one is required from me or not, based on the action at play.

As a player I'd be up for wiping out the crazies so they can't cause problems for us later, but Estelle would be absolutely on board with daring heroics and swooping through rather than outright murder.

Trog Skulk | HP: 14/14 | Protection: 2

It looks like Tenebrous would be the last one to spend a fortune point so once the group is close enough in the vehicles I will post for his action.

Also taking on 20 crazies could be a pretty rough fight via the V6 rules, combat can be quite nasty especially where you only get a number of reactions equal to your Notice.

Estelle - no fortune point is needed from you yet unless you come up with something off the wall.

Trog Skulk | HP: 14/14 | Protection: 2

OK I have posted Tenebrous's action. Let me know if that all looks good, Sir GM. :)

Nomad scavenger HP 16/16

For initiative, last time I ran a PbP, I used a variant form of Marvel Heroic init system, by Margaret Weis Productions, behind the screen. It seemed to work the way everyone was happy. Thenagain, I had only three players.

M Humanborn

Flying tomorrow so may not post.

Remnant Greaser Health 16/16

Weekdays are bad for me. I will generally read at the end of the day due to my scheduling, maybe post if appropriate. Weekends are better.

HP: 14/14 Truck HP: 150/150 (Protection 14)

Honk honk!

Trog Skulk | HP: 14/14 | Protection: 2

I am around, waiting for our scouts to get back to the group so we can discuss strategy.

HP 16/16 (Protection 2) Mustang HP 75/75 (Protection 11)

Yeah, I'm just waiting to see the NPC actions before I post. If they don't shoot us in the back I'll post in a few hours or so

F Librarian [ Notice: d8 | Shooting: d6 | Parry: 2 | Pace: 6 | Toughness: 5 ]

Yeah I was waiting for NPCs, too. I left my post somewhat vague in case something happened as I was riding away. I am no longer sure if that was the right course of action.

HP: 14/14 Truck HP: 150/150 (Protection 14)

ah. i am waiting for PCs to come over for us to have a pow-wow

F Librarian [ Notice: d8 | Shooting: d6 | Parry: 2 | Pace: 6 | Toughness: 5 ]

Did we lose our GM?

Hard to say for sure, but it unfortunately is looking likely... *sad*
