There is almost nothing that can ignore, or even resist, force. Even incorporeal are fully affected by it. It's useful, even if it is basically a hand-crossbow.
Seeing as the western rat -- the one closest to Mellany -- is now down (hopefully for the count), Mirrender turned his attention to the ones on the East. There were two warriors over there, so he wasn't too terribly worried ... but even so. Well, Captain would take care of the Westerly soon enough.

I would like to apply to co-DM. I'm afraid I don't have a great deal of DM-ing experience but I know Pathfinder quite well and have plenty of time to put in.
Here's my submission, a vishkanya monk named Karash. Planning on taking snake style feats as the game progresses.
He's landed in jail for attempting to assassinate someone, but it'd be especially awesome if I can tie that in with someone else' character in the party. Maybe he was sent after the aforementioned judge's daughter, only Waterhammer's bard was there and things didn't work out as planned. Maybe there was a scuffle or maybe he just hesitated when it came time to "finish the job". It was his first hit (ever) and suffice to say, if he makes it out of jail alive, he may have angry assassins on his tail for a job poorly done.
All the stats are in the profile and I'll definitely flesh this guy out more later on.
I'm thinking a tiefling alchemist, like what I had planned for another campaign I was gonna do...
However, I'd rather use the tiefling described in Council of Thieves' Infernal Bastard trait:
Rather than a resistance 5 to electricity, cold, and fire, get a +2 to saves against these effects; and instead of darkness 1/day, get a single 0-level at-will.

He is in a Chelish prison because he propagated devotion to the good cause and silent resistance against the Infernal influences in Cheliax and the similarly dark influences seeping in from Nidal. Besides that he also is an Andoran national.
EDIT: He might go Staff Maguc MC at a later point to get better with his matron's favorite weapon.

May I take the "Desert Shadow" trait, but instead used it as "Shadow of the Forest" to have it fit my backstory? I wouldn't even have to change the description of the trait. I like using traits to make my character more dynamic. Generally speaking, I try mold traits to accentuate the personality and background of the character, not the other way around.

i do intend to have a lot of players. 8-12 players is what i am going for. i might go for more. Basically 1E table size. the more players, the more freedom. and i happen to be an inexperienced DM who is used to playing as a PC in 10+ player groups. it also allows my sadistic homegame style to make me less guilty. more players means i feel less qualms about downing a guy or two.
Just wondering, and the answer is probably no, but will I have my alchemy book with me? If not, as I expect the case will be, will I be able to easily access it before very long?
Would you be ok with me changing the character from a generic Aasimar to an Angelkin Aasimar? They are new from the Blood of Angels supplement and spoiler here.
In short the changes are:
Stat bonuses change to: +2 Str, +2Cha instead of standard
Skill Bonus: +2 Heal and Knowledge (planes). I traded the 'Skilled' feature away for Linguist though
Spell-Like Ability: Alter Self 1/day instead of Daylight 1/day
The basic idea for the character already was to be a descendant of an Astral Deva (which would fit with him propagating the cause of good) and this way I can get that in a more direct way.
Naberius, you will eventually be able to recover your spell/alchemy book before long. in fact, any spellcasters are reccomended to list thier initial prepared/known spells. so that wizards and such aren't as shafted.
there will bother other, notable npc Inmates, you can earn thier trust or kill them, or temporaily use their help. they provide no loot though.

the Cell is inside a Chelexian Prison within Westcrown. i will work on an NPC escort. i was thinking of sneaking an elven child as a timed distraction.
How many players are you looking for...? An Aasimar Paladin in a Cheliaxian prison sounds like the beginnings of a fun adventure. The fluff in Blood of Angels is pretty awesome.
How severe a crime are we supposed to come up with for ourselves? I have a character that came to mind that I think would be pretty cool, it's just that he was arrested for all of the things that get monarchs hot and bothered: sedition, treason, abolition. He is a halfling cavalier (order of the paw) who was born free but has spent his life helping slaves escape. He was arrested because he has gotten reckless as he upped his game, and started agitating for revolution.
This is a neat concept, are you still accepting apps?
