Holy crap that was a fight. I think this was the 3rd time I've counted Dalkk for dead. Very well done all.
I'm not sure how much you need to increase the dungeon difficulty choon, we are going deeper soon enough :P
I honestly never thought the most dangerous thing that we'd face would come from outside of Rappan Athuk

Marco Theseus Cain |

We should extract the troll bood for use in alchemy
On that note
Cain can now aid an alchemy check 95% of the time

Ah damn it, The ghoul too?
Terrible Therapist Marco(tm) can only "help" one person at a time

Simon Blue-Eye |

Oh, mhhh...
I was like ...
Crap, did he come to the tase of troll blood after biting so many of them?

DW Duck |

GM Choon
Is shitting oneself a standard or move action? Dalkk needs to know

Simon Blue-Eye |

Oh ... So that is happening.
***
Best-case: Our future trading magnate just got himself some very disposable muscle for manual work and protection.
***
Worst-case: I really hope we will nit found out ...

Vuzi Ognok |

I'm completely sending Vance back to Rubyfist with those trolls. Assuming he can keep control of them.

Marco Theseus Cain |

Lol
Cain would be all for it once he gets over his panic attack

Vuzi Ognok |

So I can take Remove Curse or I can take something else as my third level spell. I was thinking about taking Nap Stack just to help with the resting in the dungeon. It can only be used once a wee though.
Any one else no awesome third level spells I should take.
I took detect secret door for my Sorcerer spell.

Simon Blue-Eye |

I'm completely sending Vance back to Rubyfist with those trolls. Assuming he can keep control of them.
Mhhh, I guess we should let Dalkk complete his 'mission' first.
If the old fart continues with that attitude ...Well, let's say: "Let him dig his own grave." ;-)

Marco Theseus Cain |

Ok apparently the website ate my last post, but a once a week casting is a bad idea for a spontaneous caster in their highest level slot
Maybe once you have 5th level slots or your sorcerer side has 3rd level spells
Remove curse is usually something you keep on hands at all times in a pair of scrolls, but in dungeons like this it's not a bad choice
Bestow curse is a pretty devastating debuff if you have a good touch attack bonus, but would really only be a useful expenditure of resources against bosses at this level
Archon's aura is pretty good debuff, though the initial save for each enemy entering it makes it a tad swing-y
I've seen builds centered around chains of perdition, but it has a rather short duration at this level
Dispel magic is a fairly vital choice and you should definitely take it eventually, maybe not now.
Greater stunning barrier is also a good defensive spell that holds up even when you level up (the lesser version is trash though)
All of this assumes you already have animate dead, if you don't have that, get it

DW Duck |

If Vance speaks orc... Damn
Vuzi
Protection against Evil has proven useful. Circle of protection vs Evil might be worth considering. Thinking about that anti paladin fight.
Animate Dead might work for you as well, that's 4HD per level

Marco Theseus Cain |

I would suggest against magic circle against evil.
I play a lot of spontaneous casters
avoiding redundancy is important

DW Duck |

I don't play a lot of spontaneous spell casters, so I don't know, but Circle seems a better options then using up all your lvl 1 spells. Would it be worth it to take Circle if she replaced regular protection against evil?

Vuzi Ognok |

She has animate dead as a class spell already.
I was thinking about the Circle against evil. I can switch out lower level spells at some point.
I was thinking about Bestow curse, but Vuzi tries to stay out of melee range. I'll look into to Stunning Barrier. That sounds like it might keep enemies from flanking us.

Marco Theseus Cain |

for you I would suggest one of greater stunning barrier, dispel magic or archon's aura

Vuzi Ognok |

I took the greater stunning barrier. It sounded like it could be interesting.

DW Duck |

Now I really hope Vance doesn't speak Orc. Lol

Simon Blue-Eye |

Oh boy what a mess up *haha*
@Maglin: You're doing ok?

Simon Blue-Eye |

I am actually a bit lost ...
I don't know how to play this ^^
Creating Undead for fighting reasons: OK with Simon. If they will laid to rest afterwards, that is.
Helping an undead to find back to his former, non-evil self and getting him a 2. chance (aka Vance): OK with Simon as well.
Creating undead for an unspecified reason with the risk of them breaking free and eating the living: Not good....

Loot Calculator:
(I just rounded the gold/gem values up to 15k using some of the nonmagical gear laying around in heaps, ~38g were missing to make it a round number, guess that's fair, eh?)
- 15.000 g in coins, gems and nonmagical loot
--> That's around 2142g and 9 silver per person (inkl. party share pool)
- Magical Sword, 72k in total, 50% sell value = 36k
--> Another 6k per person and party share once sold
@Choon: The painstick of the priestess was just a big stick, nothing magical there, or did you forget to mention that before?

GM Choon |

I forgot her. Thanks!
3 potions of lesser restoration, potion of fly, potion of mirror image; Other Gear masterwork chain shirt armor, large +1 morningstar, wooden holy symbol of Bowbe, spell component pouch, silver bracelet (50 gp), sack holding 300 gp, twenty 25 gp onyx gems, fish bones, and a chunk of meat.

Emily Black-Fur |

Dips on the meat.
;-)
Corrected and new loot: (had a brainfart and divided some by 7 instead of 6)
- 15.000 g in coins, gems and nonmagical loot
--> 2500g
- Magical Sword, 72k in total, 50% sell value = 36k
--> 6000g once sold
- Keeping potions I guess (Simon would like the mirror image, although it might be a lifesaver for our casters as well ... Vuzi?)
- Disposable loot: 50+300+20*25 = 850
--> 141g 7s
- +1 Weapon: 2000g base value, 1000 sell value
--> 166g 7s once sold
Total per party member and grp-share (once everything is sold, assuming 50% sell values for armor&weapon):
8808g 4s
Question for the mwk chainshirt:
- It probably is large, right?
- Would a skilled smith be able to reforge it into a chainshirt for Emily (once she gets large next level)?
- Or would it be cheaper to craft an entirely new one?
- Since it's huge, it is worth x2 the base price ... same for sell price?

Marco Theseus Cain |

Is that counting or not counting the money we took from the dungeon

Simon Blue-Eye |

Just the new stuff ;-)

Simon Blue-Eye |

I didn't.
Same for that 72k sword of this battle. We still need to find someone able and willing to pay 36k for it *_*
So for now, better plan with 2808 rather than 8k.
Never sell the pelt before you killed the bear wearing it ...
@Choon: Cool. I'll take it then.

Marco Theseus Cain |

If you have the skeleton steel the sword back from whatever merchant do we don't get money that is a major cop out

Marco Theseus Cain |

Oh ok.
If you have him go after us with a new sword somehow that'd be fine.
We could kick his ass and get more loot that way ;)

Marco Theseus Cain |

I did mention that the next two levels are also with my build really starts coming online did I not?
But meeting at the second group would be really cool

Simon Blue-Eye |

But, let's resolve this dwarven thing really quick, then we can get back to the dungeon proper. If things go to plan youall might actually meet group 2 here in a bit!
Hah, that would be really cool!
@Shopping/party Font: I am strongly suggesting that we get ourConsidering the amount of evil aligned creatures down there, this a rather cheap way for us to go through any kind of alignment-based DR.
@Choon: For the sake of such spells, are natural weapons 'weapons', so are Emilys weapons affected by this?

Simon Blue-Eye |

Oh well, those that read to the end have a real advantage :-/
***
Before we go back down, we should look at scrolls or maybe even wands for protection from evil, circle of protection from evil etc. That fear aura of our currently-swordless-nemesis can wreak heavoc with us, if our dice have a bad day.

Simon Blue-Eye |

In the meantime, I guess it's time for Dalkks heroic return.
And that old fatty better behave himself and kiss his boots or Simon will go on a nice long stroll and let the ... morally more flexible party members express their opinions.
@PM: If I had to guess, he will rather get back here by simply checking his campaign tab, than seeing the now-sadly-hidden PM. That's one thing they really have to change soon. Otherwise PMs are just silly...

DW Duck |

I'm trying to decide if Dalkk needs to kill Rubyfist or not

GM Choon |

I didn't notice that they were hidden. That's unfortunate. We haven't seen him in a while so I though I would poke.
On another note:
A thought just crossed my mind. If you happen to run into each other, what is this party's feelings about joining forces? I'm just feeling the waters right now. I never expected a meeting to really happen, but right now you're tracking toward each other and I want to be prepared for most possibilities of my parties bumping into each other in a super deadly dungeon.

Simon Blue-Eye |

Let's see how he reacts?
If push comes to shove, I recommend death-by-sack-full-of-troll-heads.
Seems fitting.
@Party-Mix-Up: I like it. We probably all must work hard to keep the pace up, but it could be rather awesome :-)

DW Duck |

How's their party comp? It'd be epic short term for sure. How's there power/activity level?
Worst case scenario... I bet their bodies will slow down our enemies and their loot can be donated to our cause haha

Marco Theseus Cain |

I love how I am just a category unto myself

Marco Theseus Cain |

I would point out that you have a psionic martial Elan on the other team.
But he's a ranged build, so if something gets into melee with him he'd have to fight to get out of melee lest he take AOOs
Also he only had one psionic class, so he doesn't have nearly the pool of PowerPoints I have
