Oh, that's the one I use to get high 20's low 30's to piss off Choon on skill checks
DW Duck
Btw Choon, have you thought about the Dwarf problem? Whether or not Dalkk's exile extends to his clan only or to all dwarf lands?

@Dice dicussion: *lol* :-)
@Maglin: *lol*
A group of well-armed persons, accompanied by two probably dangerous animals is getting challenged.
One guy, the obviously less armed of any of them, takes out his butter knife and drops it to the ground.
It plays out so hilarious in front of my minds eye ;-)
DW Duck
Pins and needles! I am on pins and needles sir!
Edit: Damn it! I tried haha
DW Duck
No lie I got a little worked up writing that post. It felt like Dalkk was saying goodbye to me. I won't say there's closure yet as I don't know what comes next, but o picture Dalkk standing against the void. There is no fight in him, no running, no tricky extract, tactic, or skill. Facing the music, knowing full well that it could be the end. Felt like a powerful moment of surrender.
Maybe its goofy for it just being a game and such, but I sincerely thank you Choon for giving me the opportunity to explore this arch.
Marco Theseus Cain
To be fair. If they attack you, Marco is flipping the f+*~ our
DW Duck
I seriously have no idea, death, imprisonment, new home, job offer, lol. It was touching to see Cain jump to Dalkk's defense though.
I'm very curious how everyone else will react. I had hoped to prep more before actually arriving on their land. I was thinking Dalkk would hang back, but no regrets, this is exciting.
Simon Blue-Eye
Simon will surely be in your side.
Having no idea what is being said or happening, he would see his friend being attacked (without any obvious sign of false-doing), thus he will help him.
He may try to stop the nonsense, but without actual face skills, it would be a matter of calling out for everyone's right mind, fighting among ourselves in the midst of troll land and all.
Spoiler sneaky cat is really touched by the way :-))
Marco Theseus Cain
Speaking of prep.
I'm thinking of manifesting biofeedback for two more dr, but I figure their spellcraft is just good enough to recognize that I was casting a spell and not good enough to tell it is purely defensive
I could just roll my concentration check to eliminate the visual/material manifestation
Not sure on the D.C. Though
Maglin
I wouldn't do that, it would be dumb for either of us to attack.
I've been meaning to write out another journal entry, I should have time and motivation for that tonight.
Marco Theseus Cain
If I get a four or higher they won't know I'm casting
Maglin
If you don't cast biofeedback, you auto succeed.
DW Duck
Lol, I was waiting for Vuzi to come on like... I left you alone for a few hours, wtf did you do!?
Vuzi Ognok
I could have gone with that as well. She hasn't got a clue what the problem is since no one has told her. She doesn't speak Dwarven, and I only peeked at a couple of the spoilers just to see what Dalkk said about her. ;)
Vuzi Ognok
I just watched the movie Coco, and there was a lot of abuela's shoe slapping.
I almost had Vuzi pull hers off and whack Dalkk with it.
Simon Blue-Eye
Haha this szene is plain awesome *rofl*
Vuzi, Emily would totally do so if told. I could even cast Acid Maw on her beforehand. Just to make sure ;-)

Cain is definitely punching the dwarf once we get out of here
Simon Blue-Eye
See Dalkk, no problem.
You will get yourself killed.
Either by friendly-shoe-fire or in the stomach of the mother-of-all-trolls.
No problem.
*haha*
DW Duck
Sounds like Dalkk may have others to answer to outside of this dwarf. I almost did the introductions in common, but it seemed too easy. I am very glad people peeked. Maglin if you haven't I would encourage you to do so for a cute call back.
Yes Simon, this scene is awesome. Choon is a true master, and I got a little choked up writing my bits.
DW Duck
Apologies again if I'm posting too quickly. I'm just starting work and didn't want to hold up the line as it were. If anyone else had anything to add please assume it came before mine (or after if you prefer) I'm just putting mine out so I'm not bottlenecking the narrative.
I don't know if Rubyfist would be more willing to talk to the associates of exiles, but if someone could press for more information regarding the trolls it may be beneficial. I didn't think that Dalkk had it in him to push further.
Simon Blue-Eye
I don't think that "posting too fast" is a thing in pbp.
Even more so, if it is a story arc more or less dedicated to your character.
No IC post for me before tomorrow though.
Its already late here and I am at a birthday (again), so not much free time and peace of mind to post some nice supportive Simoness.
Marco Theseus Cain
I am having to restrain my character from attacking
I'm thinking his boneswords would be poking out his arms slightly

Yeah, that's my motivation for getting the posts out ASAP. Like sure I'm loving it, but trying to enjoy my moment and then let someone else enjoy there's.
Just the right amount of absurd cruelty then. Perfect! Time for youall to go prove yourselves heroes and rub your success in his face. :)
I'm with Cain. There were times I was standing there like... Should we start swinging? No.. No... Narrative... Plus.. This could go very bad if we're wrong. Very very tense moment.
Marco Theseus Cain
If you weren't telling him no he would have attacked first for that surprise round
Maglin
I mean, it's just a free shave...Dalkk was getting a little...unkempt.
Simon Blue-Eye
Ahh and here is the moment you wish to be a evil or at least near-evil neutral rogue rather than good.
Sneaking into the camp at night filling the water skin of that a+!@$@# with poison something sickening (or poisonous?)...
No ... *evil laughter*
Better: Magical sleep and then un-beard his ugly face during the sleep. Ahhh yes, that's the good stuff *harharrhar*!
DW Duck
I haven't had a chance to respond in character, but Simons gesture the next morning made my heart melt!
Simon Blue-Eye
Well I had to do ... something ... good.
Rather than going back at night, poison-sleep-shaving-backstabbing that Dwarf ;-)
And: thanks, I'd hope so.
Seemed about time for something bright and heart warming after this rather ... depressing encounter (no accusing here, it was brilliant played, but sits ill with Simon)
Maglin
Who's going to manage magical sleep? Not me, I think. Also, I'm going to look over my spell list again since we know what to prepare for. Suggestions welcome.
Also, as usual, any feedback on my journal entries is always welcome. Re reading it myself, I can see that I used the phrase "pain stick." I just thought it was funny that that's how we're referring to it out of character, so I included it even though it is decidedly not what I would've written otherwise.
Maglin
I'm probably going to write another for the camping, and Dalkk's loss of beard deserves another one as well. I'm a little behind, but that's okay, I'll get caught up pretty quick since we're about to have combat again.
Unless the trolls respond to diplomacy.
Vuzi Ognok
How many undead trolls can Vuzi send through big ol fatty dwarf's tent?
Vuzi Ognok
Let's count them one, ahhh, one undead troll.
Maglin
But how many cookies?
Marco Theseus Cain
I am surprised no one reacted to the dwarf being punched in the face
DW Duck
Simon did, and mine did. Had a lot going on, so I couldn't do it sooner.
Marco Theseus Cain
regarding knowing dwarf, I completely forgot I knew it until we were in the room with the dwarves and I saw on my sheet that I knew the language
DW Duck
Ooc I knew you had it, been wondering when and if it'd come up.
Maglin
I think the ambushing plan is our best bet. Fire is slow, by the time we get their den on fire they'll all be awake and ready to kill us, even if I use flaming sphere. At least, those are my thoughts, I'm not really sure how good we are at burning them to the ground.
Marco Theseus Cain
Maybe a combination of the two?
Maglin
Ideally for burning we'd want to catch them unawares, so the fire had some time to spread before they woke up. Right now, they don't know we're here, the patrols are farther out in the swamp, and we have the element of surprise. If we start ambushing hunting parties, they might get suspicious and do things like keep a watch through the night. That would reduce the effectiveness of the fire plan. Not that it would totally invalidate it, just that they don't work together super well.
