It'd be cool to meet up with them and catch up. Grelth and I spoke for a bit.
Paraphrasing the almighty Q... Is this a party of the valkyries?

DW Duck |

Art imitating life then?

Vuzi Ognok |

Re Other Party: I wouldn't mind meeting up with them. Explaining Vance and the twins will take some doing. Then there's the whole animate dead thing. Which I don't think Simon has exactly noticed yet. Good thing he likes Vuzi.
@Simon: Vuzi has Align Weapon, and Protection from Evil. Of course I have no way of getting them into a scroll.

Marco Theseus Cain |

Oh dang, that kinda sucks, I would have loved to compare and contrast with the other Elan.
Ah well, it will also be nice to meet the girls

DW Duck |

I'll try to push past the dwarf stuff asap but I still haven't figured out how Dalkk feels about this. A lot will depend on Rubyfist. Is anyone here activly opposed to killing him if it goes that way? Of course at this point if the offer is there Dalkk may be just as likely to retire there if Choon is ok with that sort of thing.
Edit: If Dalkk retires I'd like to keep playing of course, but characters so rarely get proper endings and I wouldn't want to deny that for Dalkk if the situation fits his character.

Well he knows that you can take command of undead. You never used it to actually create one. That's a huge difference for him.
In addition, he is sort-of-okay with the use of undead in a fight, if they are laid to rest afterwards. What you probably should not do, is killing someone, then raising them again to force-question them or using them as your house elf or something. That would not go over pretty....
And yeah, he likes Vuzi ;-)
@Scrolls: Since those spells are on your list, you can freely use their scroll version without burning through your daily spell limits quickly. Consider a moment when we prepare for a big anti-evil fight and we want our weapons well-aligned. You could do so with your spells, burning through ... 4-6 lvl 2 spells. That's a huge part of your spellcasting, better spent elsewhere in my eyes.
@Dalkk: Yeah, retirement may actually be within grasp for you. Will we see your heal-tank soon then?
@Rubyfist: Simon will not attack first and would (probably) oppose first attacks from our side ... unless the fatty really messes up Dalkk, one of us or his own - even then, he will try to keep the group from actually killing the dwarf. But beating some manners into him, showing him the grand, red line is totally fine, I guess. It's the same in nature, really. If you kick-awake the grizzly, you better excuse yourself, cower before him and pray (a lot), rather than poking him with a pointed stick...

DW Duck |

re: Scrolls...
Even if Vuzi can't make them... Maglin could using her spell knowledge I think to craft them? Of course, if we're doing it en masse it might be worthwhile to wand it.
re: Heal Tank...
In theory yes, I've been very excited to use Tihk. Mind you, if we do meet up with this other party who has Paladin and Warpriest, I might go more exotic. I've wanted to play a witch for some time and that's heavily on my mind. If we go supergroup style then that's a lot of healing potential as is and more than half the characters with Divine spell access. Plenty of power house melee as well at the moment.
Some added Arcane may be the best support option, and fair enough to use with range. With Tihk I was thinking Sword and Shield, but keeping with range wouldn't suck for the party either.

Simon Blue-Eye |

I don't think Choon plans to fully merge the groups, at least not permanently, correct me if I'm wrong there.
(I'm good if we do, mind you, but I think we'd getting REALLY huge that way. Poor dungeon...)

DW Duck |

Can I get a better feel for the crowd? Ae they struggling with their professionalism out of excited happiness or out of disgust or fear? Are the children generally happy to see what's about to happen?
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (8) + 13 = 21

GM Choon |

The crowd's attitude is generally one of anticipation, but the underpinning emotion to that anticipation varies. The soldiers are nervous, the regular folk are eager, curious, uncertain, worried, and the children are just downright excited. Rubyfist looks like he's about to blow a gasket. You can see his red face from across the camp. The guards near him exude cronieness and stand in front of their leader with all the confidence of men who don't know better.

Vuzi Ognok |

Vuzi has ways of getting their attention, only because they'll want to kill her and her undead minions.
Yep we're doomed.

DW Duck |

Yeah... I went down the list
Dalkk - Shellshocked and starts the convo far worse the 0
Vuzi the death dealing Orc - orc/dwarf relations aren't at an all time high
Maglin - not present, plus elf, plus a little long winded for Dwarves, but a decent choice
Ship Counsler Cain - more the negotiations with lightsabers type
... So the internet likes fluffy kitty's... Maybe dwarves are like the internet? At this point it was him or the talking rock, which if I knew its stats might of been a decent choice for Dwarves

Marco Theseus Cain |

It has the same skill ranks as me but mental stats of
About 12 at this level

Simon Blue-Eye |

My, my ...
Now I am interested of how my Catomacy works on a bunch of aggravated Dwarves ^^

Simon Blue-Eye |

On a slightly unrelated note:
My recon mission was successful and turned out the other group has access to an unfair amount of chocolate.
I am all for visiting them.
That's some kind of running gag in their group, yes?

DW Duck |

I'll wait for Simon's roll, then, if things don't work out, I'll be treating all your rolls as Aiding for Torbjorn. I didn't realize that none of you had diplo. Then again it's a dungeon crawl. Why would you? Sorry.
No apology needed. We all discovered our glaring weakness back with the rat bomb lady and made some loose plans to fix it. I have been working on my bluff, and I don't think any of us signed up with the intention of this being easy haha.

DW Duck |

Big emotional stuff, didnt know Cain cared so much, very touching.
If this happens... Should I prep a 6/3 lvl with standard wealth by level?

DW Duck |

I'm delaying out the post as something of this significance deserves time I don't have at this moment, and probably won't have for another 24 hours, but Dalkk will be retiring for sure if that offer is valid. Will probably return his share of the treasure from the swords and treasure of the trolls save for a few grand to put towards feeding the dwarves.

Marco Theseus Cain |

On the plus side, with the dwarf leaving, the rest of us get a bigger share
Also my current wish list for what to do with my share of the money
Dusty rose iuon stone
Cloak of resistance +1
Ring of deflection +1

Simon Blue-Eye |

*silently opening a bag full of handkerchiefs and handing them around*

Vuzi Ognok |

*takes the tissue from Simon and uses it.*

Simon Blue-Eye |

Just wanting to say: Wow, that was some powerful RP we put up there.
Amazing @ all.
Never had such an emotional RP before!

DW Duck |

I loved it all, the deep hugs, the torment, Vuzi getting pas out drunk, revisiting the greatest hits Dalkk has shared with everyone in the past.

Simon Blue-Eye |

@Choon: I sent you a PM. This is just a notifier for you, since the PM notifier system is gone for the time being *meh*

Emily Black-Fur |

I smell ... rat!
But its not a normal rat... it smells a little different...
If it is still eatable?

Simon Blue-Eye |

Yeah, I hope so too.
He hasn't posted with any of his aliases either (yes, I may have stalked him a little yesterday).
Makes one worry...
Hopefully just the flue or something similarly harmless.
@GM: How do we proceed with the dwarven stuff we initially wanted to sell here? *lol long time ago*

Simon Blue-Eye |

Concider it sold. It was map worth, I think, 25g?
I think we mostly came because of a full set of dwarven armor that were supposed to be quite valuable for the dwarves at hand?
The map just was a nice give-away, right?Could be that I am forgetting stuff, but I think we still have the armor stashed ... somewhere.

Nikki Tempest |

- +1 Keen Throwing Axe, Vance said the Dwarving Camp to the North may pay a premium for it, book price sold is 4154
- Dwarven Half Plate, Vance says he knows someone who will pay a premium for custom armor, book price sold is 300
- Skelly Sword, Economy, unholy, lots of variable, book price is 36,175 Gold (+6 72k, MWK 300, Greatsword 50)
After our first venture into the dungeon these are the 3 items with a variable price. Sword is to be determined (its been a couple months now? We were quoted a few weeks when we dropped it off) by the merchant in town. The whole point of coming to the Dwarven Camp was that Vance thought these Dwarfs might pay extra for the Axe and Armor.
The map was technically speaking given as a gift to Rubyfist in hopes that he would like us.

Simon Blue-Eye |

Nice digging Nikki.
You're an expert?
@all: How do we proceed? With the new loot, I think another shopping tour into the town is in order before going back down the dungeon, right? On the way over, we may discover our new member?

Nikki Tempest |

Sticks tongue out at Simon
GM Choon
I'll have the rest of my sheet filled out tonight. I used the stats I rolled when I started making my 2nd character back when Dalkk was first paralyzed in the star shaped ghoul room. They're not amazing, but they beat the point buy and after Dalkk's incredible stats I can handle the karma.
Narratively, she is a local who lives as a hermit in the nearest marsh/swamp type environment, but does come to town for supplies and the like. I figure the Necromancer Ulman Dark would likely be her closest contact as a fellow caster. She is activly seeking to go to Rappan Athuk with experienced people. I figured Ulman might of told her about the Catfolk he decursed recently?
If this narrative works for you then she'll of stayed in town activly seeking out a blue-furred Catfolk, a black Panther, and a Half-Orc as that's who went to see Ulman Dark. Again if your ok with this, I'll jump in whenever you say they see me or vice versa.

Simon Blue-Eye |

Hey Nikki, keep in mind that its Simon Blue-Eyes and not Simon Blue-Fur ;-)
His fur is actually a white-grey, very much like the avatar pic. And there's a picture of my parents cat (named Simon...) linked in my alias ;-)

Nikki Tempest |

Ahhh my bad. Whenever I picture Simon blue I have Kimahri Ronso from Final Fantasy X in mind.

Nikki Tempest |

Miss Tempest will sit outside for the scene to conclude, unaware that he targets are inside right now, and will notice when they come out I'm sure. Or if a certain big black cat is bored of the shop and smells prey nearby hehe. Not a force, but I'm open to Emily coming after Nikki in a non mechanical but thematic fashion.
I'll have a better description later, but she is 1'9" Tall (53 cm) and 7.5lbs (3.5kg). She is Ratfolk, but you could mistake her for an Imp of some kind. In place of fur she has dark colored scales, a row of horn spikes on both sides of the top of her head, bat like wings. Although she also has her whiskers still, and head/nose/ears/body shape of a rat. The base of her tail is that of a rat, but ends much later then it should with a spade tip. She is wearing a collection of torn robes. By no means a savage, but its not easy finding well made clothes for unique proportions in such a small part of the world.
Edit- she also doesn't cast a shadow for whatever that may be worth.

Marco Theseus Cain |

Reading over Nikki's build, and it's fairly well optimized from what I can see of it
Though with that physical description, I gotta ask, are you a permanently reduced ratfolk or tiefling?

Nikki Tempest |

Yup. It'll show in my purchases with applicable spell casting service fee. I'm Tiefling, but sidebar says I can be non human Tiefling and small size if applicable. Its very explicit that I gain nothing mechanical from my non Tiefling portion, so technically me being a Ratfolk is for fluff purposes only.
Mechanically I'm a Small Tiefling with Reduce Person that was Permanented with a CL 10. This puts me at Tiny.
For what its worth I took the following Alt Racial Traits
Scaled Skin
Vestigial Wings
Underworld Guide (2RP, keeps me at 15 as was outlined by Choon in Recruitment)
Prehensile Tail

Marco Theseus Cain |

Just a reminder that permanence can be knocked out with a simple dispel

Nikki Tempest |

Yeah, and so can a +1 sword, which can also be lost, stolen, or sundered. If GM Choon will allow it I wouldn't mind having it cast at a higher CL though.
Its definitely a risk, but with a perm cost of 3k (including CL 10 casting services) its not the most expensive spell in the world. Mechanically the difference is +2 Atk on my likely least used offensive tool and +2 AC. Feels about the right cost especially considering I don't wear armor.
Plus, awesome rp possibility
