Well then I am pretty much done.
The +1 keen kukri will cost more than I have atm, probably only works because he is going to sell the flaming-thing in the same run.
No idea what Emily's armor will cost, but not the world.

@Choon: Can I 'use' my full share of the to-be-sold sword to fund my kukri (thus only having to pay the remaining 8000-6000=2000g)? That way I have roughly half my share left for more immediate shopping.

All I see about crafting not-perfect Iouns in that when you fail a crafting check by more than 5 but less than 15 you get a 50-50 shot at making a Cracked of Flawed stone.

Yeah, he will get a couple of points into Diplomacy the next level.
I reached the level of handle animal to reliably train and always control Emily, so I can put that to the side for now and get myself some talking skills.
He had enough training by now. Up to now, it's just plain, natural, unpolished charm ;-)

+ I really want to get small at one point, enhancing the kitten-factor by at least 5!

Funny story. I can't do rings. Ring magic items require the seperate feat Forge Rings, and I need someone to cast (scroll or otherwise) the spell Shield of Faith (Cleric, Oracle, Inquisitor lvl 1).

Can I offer you an Amulet of Natural Armor +1? I can use Simon to provide the spell component. If you want to be able to resell it for full value it is also 1,000 Gold, or if you don't think you'll be reselling it in the near future I can make it so that it only works for Sorcerers or Oracles for 700 Gold.

Given that headbands resize to fit their wearer, could I commission a headband that utilizes an offensive cantrip at will and give it to skeets? According the magic item creation rules it should be something I have to ask for but if made would cost ~1k (500 to craft)

I am good with my damage atm, Will saves (once we get back to Saracek) are my definite weak point.
So scratch that +1 weapon.

Brand new +2 Cloak of Resistance is 2,000 to craft
Upgrade from a +1 is 1,500
Brand new +2 that can only be used with your class is 1400 and cheaper to upgrade going forward.
I don't believe Emily has class levels however, so she will likely be full price.

In theory though, I could make a new +2 Class restricted for you at 1400, and use your old one to upgrade it to a +2 for 1500, and give that to Emily?

That's a total of 2 +2 capes for 3900

I see. Its Choon's game so whatever works, but that's priced for 'Use-Activated or continious' wouldn't that mean its going off constantly? I could see Detect Magic doing that though... {Makes notes for other games}

I'm not sure what you had planned other then offensive spell, but wouldn't 'Command word' with 'Charges per Day' be more applicable?

I know it sounds petty but I'm still relatively new to heavy magic use and am asking for my benefit. I realize of course that per this math (assuming 5x/day) and yours the only difference is you save a bit of money, but good for me to learn.

If I'm wrong thought... The implication seems to be that an unlimited use 'wand' for a lvl 1 spell would cost 2000 gold assuming CL1

The magic item system is very open ended and can easily be broken wide open. That's why I asked what spell he wanted his brave little soldier to have. :)

I was going for either acid splash or crystal shards
ie cantrips.

one would be easier to access, the other would be more thematic

I'd even accept Dynamic item creation as it is a new item, if you want more risk involved with new items created

it's almost strictly a nerf on crafting normal objects, unless the party has a very diverse selection of skills but to use it to enable custom stuff is cool

maybe we can get on that next shopping trip.

in the mean time, does any one in the party have know (local) or diplomacy?
