Liberty's Edge

Hello all Starfinders who play in French.

Black Book Éditions, which is the French based official Paizo partner, launched a crowdfunding-prepurchase event for its translation of Starfinder into French, which is due in the 1st quarter of 2018.

Here is the ---> link <---.

I do not have any stake in this company, do not gain anything in any way by promoting this, and have no idea of the quality of their translation (but they have been the official French Paizo partner for several years, namely with Pathfinder), I am simply putting this here in case anyone playing in French can be interested by what seems to be a cheaper promotional offer of le CRB.

For those outside of France, I did see that they state they have partners to lower the delivery fees in Canada and such.

To most, Mount Shibotai's devastating eruption was a footnote in Tian history. To the shadow-bound wayangs who settled the jagged crater in Minata, the volcano was the reason they inhabited Golarion at all. In their de facto capitol Inahiyi, the wayangs host an annual festival to commemorate the catastrophe that brought them into this world and forced them to ally with their neighbors against a common threat. On especially auspicious anniversaries, the wayangs invite foreigners to contribute to the ceremony, and the Pathfinder Society has negotiated the privilege of having its agents observe the sacred ceremonies as these outside participants. This is no mere anthropological opportunity, though, and the PCs may be all that stands between their world and an unspeakable evil.

I can only find some info' on Constructs in the First Contact booklet and in the Monster Conversion part of the CRB, and wanted to know where to find the Construct rules and Construct Immunities for SFS (or will it be in the Alien Archive?)?

The reason: if the Mystic Cure spell specifies it heals living creatures, the mystic's Healing Touch and Healing Channel both state these heals allies.
In the rules so far, what specifies these healing methods do not function on drones?

Hello all!

Based in Paris, France, I look at the "Coordinators" page regularly, when I travel, to see if there is a Lodge to try and visit.
Since I will be in Austria soon, I was checking Vienna out... when, for the first time, after a few years, I spotted the "Online" entry.
Which is sandwiched between Oklahoma and Oregon (so that is where the Internet is located?!).
I was just wondering if it might be better to extricate Online from United States?
(put it before, or at least after, at the start of International?)
Easier to spot for people coming to look for it.
Not sure if this is feasible or too much coding, but just an idea...

Thanks for the great work, and the rich Website!

On page 6 -1 Quest - Into the Unknown states that:

BOON SLOTS
No boon slots are available for Into the Unknown, but the GM should explain that PCs acquire boons as they play adventures, and this is where they would normally be asked to review and select their boons for this adventure, based on their mission briefing.

Since the XXX Champion [Faction Boon] is a boon (that you get for free at character creation, or can apply to your character if you play a pre-gen), does that mean players run this scenario for no Rep'/Fame for any faction since it cannot be slotted?
(or is it 'no boons other than your faction boon', which is what I would imagine?)

Liberty's Edge

Is the welcome to Starfinder boon available?
(or only to a certain level of Venture Officers?)

And will all Venture Officers receive the scenarios (1-00, 1-01, 1-02, 1-03...) in their downloads?
I have scheduled 10 games in 5 different locations to start SFS in my location, and would like to know if:
• I must purchase the scenarios, period
• purchase the scenarios and then get them in my downloads as VO later on
• get access to them now

Thousands of years in Pathfinder's future... and death still exists? Raise dead is not obsolete (no cheap cloning, IA back ups, personalities stored digitally and downloaded into new sleeves...). Bummer.
Thanks for the nice blog post!

Hello all, as a Mind Flayer I am here to pick your brains... about using an oversized Sling Staff (large one for a medium sized character, medium one for a small sized character).

The description of the sling staff states: You can fire, but not load, a halfling sling staff with one hand.
My reading is that this means you can use an oversized (by one rank) sling staff to cast bullets/stones, using two hands to do so (just like you can use an oversized sling staff as a two handed "club" in melee).
This means your damage goes from 1d8 to 2d6 (for medium to large) with -2 to hit or 1d6 to 1d8 (for small to medium, with the -2 to hit) for ranged attacks.

Since range weapons do not have the "light", "one hand", "two hand" characteristics, I am not 100% sure of this... what is the feeling on such a situation?

I know that loading a halfling sling staff is a move action that requires two hands but it does not seem you could not load an oversized one (or need a "third" hand to do so?).

Thank you for your time, and good gaming!
