Hi!
I was going to do it here in PbP, with Slides for maps etc., as I run the other games here.
But still only two (albeit different!) people interested, so I will give up on trying to run it...
(((
Bleh
Sorry
Best

Hi all, sorry for belated answer.
I was not checking this thread since I thought there were only two people possibly interested.
But I got a PM from our Huckelberry (thanks).

So, let me look into this this week-end and set it up to try and get things starting to roll next week.

I'll PM those who posted before if they do not post again here, but, in the meantime: who is still interested?

The scenario is designed for 3 to 5 players.

I do not know of any link to the .pdf.
Will have to give some rule info and present them.
But it is not very rule-heavy.

Hello...

It will be PbP.

Come and be confronted with a fair chance of dying yes, but only the player knows that, not the character, poor thing.
And, there is always hope of making it out alive.

In this case, the game is released in December, but they have released a pretty big pre-game .pdf, with one scenario, that one can play once (and replay if interested to, I imagine).
And pre-generated characters to pick from.

There are no creation rules yet, anyhow.

As for the Come and Die, the Alien RPG will have two modes of play, with some different rules for both.
There will be a Campaign mode, where you build your character and adventure over time and through scenarios.
And the Cinematic Mode, which is what this game will be (and the only mode explained in the pre-pdf), that is more deadly, yes, closer to the Alien franchise films (and has pre-gen characters made for the specific stories).

Those were answers... I hope?

Just a bump to check if any interest...

Interest check

I wished to see if anyone would be interested in playing Chariot of the Gods, the preview scenario for Alien RPG, released this week-end by Free League.

It is a Cinematic Play scenario.
Cinematic Play emulates the dramatic arc of an ALIEN film.
Designed to be played in a single session, this game mode emphasizes high stakes and fast and brutal play.
Conflict between player characters is likely, and you are not all expected to survive.
In fact, most of your PCs probably won’t live to see the end of the scenario.

Chariot of the Gods is a pre-generated scenario that provides all the tools necessary to run your first ALIEN roleplaying game, and it’s a fun and easy way to learn how to play and tell your own stories on the Frontier.

I would be the GM... the Game Mother.

"What's the story, Mother?"

The story is that...
You are space truckers on the starfreighter USCSS Montero, running “the Gauntlet”— the trade route between Anchorpoint Station and the Frontier. Your ship’s cargo hold is packed with dozens of tanks
of the rare gas Helium-3.
Usually cargoes such as these are towed in massive tanker modules that transport much higher concentrations of the gas a safe distance from a freight hauler.
The Montero isn’t rated as a commercial towing vehicle, however, and this small run is a special order for a Weyland-Yutani corporate account on Sutter’s World—a newly established Frontier colony.
While the trip so far has been fairly routine, the Montero’s sensors developed a glitch before you left Anchorpoint and sporadically pinged contact with a sensor reflection before you activated the dis- placement drive and went FTL.
Your cargo run so far has been without incident.
Now, you are just awakening from hypersleep, ready to deliver your goods to the colony of Sutter’s World.

If some are interested, I will see about setting this up...
