I'm sure this is where our heroes die.

Masumi will tell Akio to get ready (hold). He will then jump to the other path/bridge and back behind the Lord... Akio can charge! Lord goes. Masumi sneak attack (corporeal), Akio full attack (ghost touch).

Technically you don't really die you simply wake up in a tomb to begin again until all the bodies have been used. Once that happens you don't wake up again. Each time you wake up those initial stats change that you rolled, so its a slight variation to the character.

Once you crossed the bridge and entered the last room:

This square room has an ornate archway, dominated by the carved head of a fierce oni on the north wall. Bright light streams down the stairs
beyond the archway. Each wall of the room is decorated with the symbol of the Shogun and golden lanterns hang from the ceiling. The seal of the
Shogun is emblazoned onto the marble floor. The lanterns burst into magical light when the PCs enter the room. You get the last Vignette and membership into the elite Hakayami death squad.

You remember everything.

You were standing before the entrance of the Botai-Yami, the dark womb wherein evil dwells. All around you, clad in black were the members
of the Hakayami, the shogun’s elite death-squad, the squad you hoped to join.

You remember the priests lighting the fires around you and the cheers going up, cheers that you joined.

You remember doffing your armor and putting on the white robes of initiation, the priests smearing you with sacred oils.

You remember General Asho, dressed in his black armor, handing you a curved dagger. “Die that you might be born anew of darkness,” he
said.

You remember kneeling, taking the dagger in your hand and plunging it into your own heart.

I thank everyone for playing this game, especially Masumi and Akio for sticking with it. This was a bit unusual with the prefab characters but you were good sports about it.

I do like the fact that the game came to its natural conclusion.
