53) The chronicles tell us that the royal line of the Mad King was nearly lost to the Twilight Conflagration, and see how he keeps the braziers to the far ends of the hall from his throne? Truly, I say, the Mad King fears that fire yearns to finish the job, and end his line! (Give the BBEG a weakness to fire by chucking alchemist's fire at him.)

54) The Rakshasa reject and scorn the gods, and the let the gods return the favor, with this, their tears manifest! (Give a rakshasa temporary weakness to divine damage with a flask of holy water.)

59) A sufficiently badly indexed contract as thick as a tome should, when produced, be enough to give a phistophilus devil pause.

60) A peace treaty read aloud from the lands where a warsworn has arisen can harm it, but a weapon whose handle is encased in the coddling wraps of the baby born to those who fought on opposite sides will sunder it completely.

61)

Fall of Plaguestone Spoiler::
This construct of diabolical alchemy, churned from the spoils of soil rife with turnips, will be susceptible to the same kind of seeds and roots that helped to spawn it. Yield to the mighty Turnip, you misbegotten abomination of alchemy!

62) A rakshasa who has failed utterly in a previous reincarnation is subject to the ignominy of being born as a raktavarna, a lowly serpent whose only hope of advancement is serving a mortal mage and working through them. A dead cobra can be used to create a link to the rakshasa's weakest reincarnation, even if they never sunk that low.

Here is one that is a bit YA novel style.

63) "This here amulet has been prophesied to be worn by a great hero who will defeat a terrible evil. You certainly look "terrible" enough."

(Just imagine it along with some mockery ability).

64) By invoking primal feline fear, a slice of cucumber should be enough to weaken a Rakshasa.

65) A memento from a dead sailor given by their family to keep them from danger will be the downfall of the Sea Hag who commited the murder.

66) A mug of hot cider keeps away the chill of winter. And is deathly poison to white dragons.

71. Drops of sweat from the monk who has practiced one kick ten thousand times are pure anathema to demons of sloth.

72. An iron nail can bind shadows to the spot if struck at exactly the right time. The trick is knowing that it's always the right time somewhere in Golarian.

73. Given their affinity for spiders, you'd think that the drow would understand that the stinger of a wasp and a few of their eggs are effective symbols against the gogiteth. Of course, this would require them to acknowledge their own weaknesses...

74. Brow beading with sweat, clutching the broken shaft of the arrow pulled from his own leg, [insert cool sounding name here] swore vengeance on his foe.

75. Sometimes planar travel can be quite simple. For example, all I have to do is pick up this stick, and with a simple *bonk* I have transferred the incubus from the material plane to horny jail.

POV: you're a kitsune trickster

76) this journal contains a ledger the villain hid that proved their under the table dealings (really, it's your jounal, but they cant prove it!)

77) this garment can only be seen by those who are wise; as a king, surely you are the wisest of them all? (It's not real, but the expression of the king bluffing they can see the robe certainly is)

78) producing a few stones from your pouch and doing some slight of hand, you "reveal" to the dragon it's wealth is an illusion; simply rocks with ephemeral gleam that will fade in time

Now I want to play a kitsune thaumaturge

79) Oh, they sent red mantis assassins after me? How cute. Hunting wasps feed mantises to their young, so by the power of Calistria, begone! :flashes religious symbol of Calistria:

I'm picturing the scene from the Mummy with the mercenary wearing a gajillion holy symbols and presenting them, hoping to find one that works.

Poor sod wasn't a thaumaturge; I imagine a clever thaumatugre would get a great deal of mileage from this strategy, provided they are well read in faiths!

(that exact scene is one of the explicit inspirations for some of what the thaumaturge does, like when you fail the check and spend the extra action trying *everything* :D)

I had been thinking about this, and more and more my cowardly kitsune character is fitting this- he takes inspiration from the same scene. Grab an animal companion via archetype, and try to fit in some sort of illusion powers. It'll be my first time having any sort of non-caster build for him!

80) There's a ton of folklore that Pathfinder can't capture all of, or uses specific items for. Salt against spirits is a great example- other characters might need alchemically treated or magically blessed salts, but a skilled thaumaturge can make do with the more common stuff.

Liberty's Edge

81) This is not REAL. YOU are not REAL. I DISBELIEVE you.

81a.) "I DON'T BELIEVE IN FAERIES!!!"

82.) The ancient fey lord is hopelessly stuck in the past, which is why this high-tech state-of-the-art gun is the perfect weapon against them!

83.) Wizards believe in an ordered universe that makes sense. This mathematical proof I got from a scholar in the Maelstrom that proves that 2+2=5 is just about the opposite of that.

I have spent two weeks specifically making custom weaknesses called Conclusions for the Six Legends, Mark, this is based on them:

84) the Legends of Taldor Past fell once before. They will again.

84a) clever Beldlam was felled not by poison or spy, but by his own beloved. By attaching this stone pendant of his own likeness to my mace, I shall strike him down the same way.

84b) the first Stavian led the crusades against Qadira. His spirit shall feel his greatest enemy burning in his wounds when I sprinkle ancient sand over my blade.

84c) Gennaris the Conqueror never fell in battle, but was ambushed while rallying his troops for the upcoming war. My arrows, shot from a camouflaged bow, will strike true.

84d) in life, Emperor Cyricas fell to the Gorilla King. For as long as I am Enlarged, his spirit will fall to my fists.

84e) Daronlyr the Usurper took power by force and charm. But with this parchment bearing his brother’s signature, I shall strip him of both.

Last one is still a mystery ;)

85) This Kraken is a creature of the deepest ocean. This pinch of desert sand, baked for three days in the relentless summer sun, should be just the thing to leave it high and dry.

86) The Earth elemental was a tricky one, but I've found the perfect counterpart is Earth that has already been infused by the power of Air. AKA, this powder made by grinding down a Fulgurite.

87) Clockworks, such fine pieces of engineering, but who'd have thought that merely running this simple wrench across my blade would be enough to jam their entire functionality.

EDIT: Got ninja'd

88) This infernal contract thrice signed, thrice breached, and torn thrice and thrice again, shall be your undoing, foul phistophilus!

94) Oozes leaving slime and goo everywhere? With SHAMWOW you'll be saying wow every time!

97) A child's hopes and dreams can do miraculous things. The stories they tell bring small truths to the world, Theodore the guardinn bear knows this for this is how they came to existence. That same spark of wonder empowers each of their tools. Such as the story that little Cindy told that Apple seeds are anthema to viscious tooth faeries. And that the child's toy wand could be empowered to fling true magic.
