Forgot to grab a new book tonight. Just finished the 2nd book of the name of the wind by Patrick Rothfuss. I recommend highly with the caution that he hasn't finished the third one yet and your gonna want a third one.
Ive just started in the first book.
Prepare yourself to be upset that the 3rd book isn't out.

My commute is much shorter, so I get about 20/30 minutes tops a day. It will be quite some time before I'm trough book 1.

Maybe he will have the third one out by the time you need it then.

Relevant excerpt from Critical Role. (Watch it for about a minute, you'll see.)

I really need to start watching that series.

The Exchange

I've just picked up geocaching from my BF and am now playing Orna.

Their is a similar game they play around here where people hide painted rocks and others find them. We've had a couple hidden in the hotel. mostly elevator or lobby.

The Orna thing looks way cooler however.

Don't blame me, I'm on vacation.

Is vanykrye staying at your hotel chain gran?

I assume so. Otherwise his comment makes no sense.

How many games do you lose between each win? If it's like me it's quite few.

I don't remember what your chain was or that you've ever said. For some reason I'm thinking Marriot brand.

A ton this time. Sometimes I get lucky and it's only a few.

I don't think I've ever directly said, but you seem to have figured it out.

Well things were different enough so I knew it wasn't mine but it was close enough and I think they are mines like main competition when we have both in the same area.

It's the one with the big H. It is a chain that was bought out by the dude whose daughter was a celebrity. who really didn't do anything to become a celebrity except the x-rated movie and one horror movie and a tv show. If that is not enough of a clue I don't know what to tell you.

Beat Ascension 16 with Ironclad. Pretty quickly this time.

FTFY

Wait...there's a bell toll? F#*!ing taxes on everything nowadays.

Don't forget the coin for crossing the River Styx

There's death
There's taxes
There's death taxes

You went John Donne while I was thinking Metallica. although now that I think about it I don't think that exact line appears in the song igther. Isn't that one of those things that Shakespeare gets credit for? Not the song ofcourse but the line.

You might hate me for this, Vid. I just started another run on StS. Took the starting gift of "First 3 fights, enemies have 1 HP." Got to the first boss (Slime Boss) having only had 2 fights, so it only had 1 HP. Took the Orrery relic (add up to 5 cards to deck), and got an Impervious (30 block), Barricade (keep block), and Body Slam (deal damage equal to block).

I must assume that I shall be thoroughly walloped on the next level.

Shakespeare truly a man before his time writing thrash metal before the electric guitar heck before electricity was invented...

What the crap.... I never get that lucky.

A lot of what Shakespeare wrote is attributed to the Bible, and a lot of what other people wrote is attributed to him.

Of course, King James and Will were contemporaries*, so it makes linguistic sense that people lump everything written during that time period to a single author.

*Will was born 2 years before James.

Someone got an interesting degree in college^^^^

Nah, I'm math/AI/statistics.
I just know a lot of weird things.

Ah just a jeopardy type eh?

More Lore than Knowledge. I deep dive into things, but I'm not a very good trivia player.

Someone once described me as having "a velcro-like mind". Lots of weird bits and pieces stick, but it's mostly dust and fuzz.

Ah I'm the opposite I have a huge surface knowledge but specifics sometimes elude me.

If it makes you feel any better, I got destroyed on the third floor.

What about like really dark chocolate? That has less sugar right?

Some things just aren't worth giving up... Chocolate > my health.
