Tomorrow will be all about the Starfinder Adventure Path: Attack of The Swarm (EXCLAMATION POINT!): Huskworld!
We will be joined by Jason Keeley & Liz Liddell as they give a behind the scenes look in the creation of this adventure path. Along with some designer insights on certain sections, encounters, etc.
Do you have any questions for the devs on this book before the show? We'll be live on Oct 16, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. Pacific!

QUESTIONS FOR LIZ
Have you always been this awesome? How big of a change has it been from off-site editorial staff to in-person head of editorial staff to DEVELOPER? Do you squeal with delight everytime you introduce yourself to folks as a developer now?
How do you balance your fantastic freelancing with everything else you do?
At PaizoCon, you cosplayed Celita. Will you be cosplaying anyone from Huskworld this year?
What was the hardest part of describing a world that has already been eaten by the Swarm?

Cool beans. Can we campaign early for our favorite races from AA3 for the Witchwarper? I would of course like to champion the Dirindi. They're charming and zap-tastic. Plus, this witchwarper could totally then be a dirindi newscaster, only interfering with breaking news stories a little bit...
What races do the rest of you want to see for the Witchwarper?
Hmm

Right, so, in our completely made-up hypothetical party of Twitch-made COM characters, we so far have a raxilite princess and a bodyguard made up of ionic salt compounds. So, in other words, we've got onion and salt. Continuing in the great traditions of Chefinder, all we need is some cheese, and baby? You got a French Onion Soup going.
So, what race best represents cheese? Now I'm no fromagier, but cheese is mostly a dairy product of bound proteins made from bacteria and molds. Sounds to me like a bunch of tiny individual organisms working in concert to create a gestalt whole, greater (and yummier!) than the sum of its parts. What AA3 race does that sound like? Spathinae. Boom.
(...although I, grudgingly, also submit Hortus as flavourfully appropriate, if you need a vegan version.)
In conclusion: throw a raxilite biohacker, a shimreen vanguard, and a spathinae witchwarper into a pot, simmer for an hour and a half, and voilà, you get a tasty continental treat! Garnish with party ooze croûtes to turn the flavour up to 11.
Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

@HMM to be honest we never really stood a chance, against the combined might of Amanda Hamon and otters :)
Oh well. At the end of the day, it's probably not in an adventuring party's best interest to have "we'll melt together into a delightful soup if you heat us up!" as a feature!

Okay, so this week is the Character Operations Preview, right?
I won't be able to attend, so here are some advance questions:
We know that the Witchwarper, Biohacker and Vanguard are coming, but I want goodies for my current charracters as well. What are some cool options in the Character Operations Manual for the Core Classes?
Are there any new races appearing in COM?
What are the new options for core races in COM? Do gnomes get anything awesome?
Ooh! Ooh! Tell us about the starship roles!

For future reference, all stream topics will be revealed every Monday via our blog posts if our tech team can get to them. Holidays and such might delay blogs to Tuesday. And any questions for that week's topic can be referred to here.
And I apologize for not getting you folks in the loop sooner. Tons happening internally!
As for why this thread was moved. It wasn't my call and I've no idea either. But whichever helps things stay organized!

Payton Smith Social Media Producer |

I agree! Powers that be, can we move this thread back to its original home? It was born in the Starfinder General Discussion forum, and that is where it is most loved!
Please?
I'll ask Sara Marie if we can move it back to its original location. I sadly have no power to do it myself.

With this week's SFW being a general Lore Q&A, and since I may not be online live, I thought I'd ask some questions ahead of time.
1) How are relations between Oras and The Swarm? As Space-Darwin a CN Deity of evolution, responding to pressures, and constant adaptation, Oras and The Swarm seem like two peas in a pod, as long as you can look past the whole "The Swarm is Chaotic Evil" thing. (And, as a Neutral deity - I bet Oras can!)
Note: I haven't read/played Attack of the Swarm! yet, so please disregard if this comes up in that AP.
2) Any tidbits you'd like to share re: Devastation Ark?
2a) ok not a question but I am so excited for Devastation Ark. I'm very grateful that our first foray into high-level adventures is not only a 3-parter (much more consumable than a 6-parter, for me and my group!) but also has an innocuous "space opera save the galaxy" theme! Some of the other APs have a general flavour, vibe, tenor, theme, whatever-you-want-to-call-it, that just doesn't appeal to everyone (like the body/psych horror of Signal of Screams, or the tinfoil hats of Threefold Conspiracy.)(No offense to people whose jam is body/psych horror, or shadowy conspiracies, of course!) I'd probably vote with my dollars and buy the first high-level AP no matter what it was about, but having it be a generally crowd-pleasing genre I'm excited to play is the cherry on top :)
3) If I provide a cardboard cutout of Owen K.C. Stephens, will you put it up in the background, thereby satisfying the requirements for "the tastiest secrets only get dropped when Owen and Rob are onscreen at the same time?"
(...unless, the combo of John Compton and Rob McCreary is just as potent? Maybe, like Thor, "Owen K.C. Stephens" is just a mantle, that can be passed along and worn by another worthy?)

Something I've been curious about in the Starfinder setting is whether real-world eponyms go by different names. Hawkings radiation, Hohmann Transfers, that sort of thing.
Sort of following on that idea, I'm curious about the standard technology behind starship propulsion. Is the assumption that Starship thrusters operate like contemporary spacecraft and burn liquid fuel, or do they use more futuristic methods of propulsion (like ion thrusters, nuclear engines, or even more theoretical stuff).

I have a few questions for tonight's stream, if anyone sees them in time (but please only answer them if there's time and the question interests you):
1) Alien Archive lists Aeons as neutral like they were in Pathfinder 1E. In PF 2E they have changed to be lawful neutral. Are there any plans to explain why they are neutral again (or retcon them to be lawful neutral in Starfinder)? I realize the reason for the discrepancy is that Alien Archive was around before PF 2E, but I'm curious if/how this will be addressed from a lore perspective.
2) Is there any trivia you can share about how the Pathfinder era deities or their worshippers have adapted to modern (320ish AG) times and ubiquitous technology? For example, we know Abadar has a megacorp and Iomadae has cathedral ships and an order of star knights. What kinds of similar things have the other deities been up to?
2b) Same as 2, but for major outsider groups? Things similar to how there are now hacker devils and angels who oppose them.
3) Are there any new pieces of lore related to Near Space you wanted to share?

Look, I admit, getting full sentience hasn't been all it's cracked up to be. I'm not allowed to work for the AbadarCorporation anymore because, well, they don't hire SROs...but I'm getting by. I do Retail Arbitrage now and I"m a lot happier.
Wait! Where am I supposed to for my complaints about Abadar Corp. I went looking for the customer service thread, after a friend recommended. He said your thread was the best place to get help. I suppose I will have to keep looking. Congrats, on full sentience, have you considered legal action against Abadar for discrimination. I know I good lawyer.

I know it is internet faux pas to make comments on threads that have been inactive for so long but I can't find an answer to this anywhere else and I don't use twitter.
Are they any plans to bring this and Pathfinder Fridays back since the world is... well, LESS of fire than it has been the last 18 months?! I am new to BOTH games and have been binge watching Starfinder Wednesdays and will likely be watching Pathfinder Fridays soon as well.
I love the videos I have seen so far and hope that these shows come back in the future!
