Maybe he's going to the Gold Goblin to find Khav and tell her his boss is willing to give her a shot as a bouncer?

Khavakra is not one to confide in others very much. She goes around wearing a bandanna over her face and her skin is painted a more "fleshy" color to mask her Duergar heritage. She is afraid to let people get to know her as she knows her kind is considered an enemy to those who live on the surface.

I didn't flesh out her background as much as I usually do but she is an outcast from her home city in the Darklands. She made her way to the surface, but now struggles with coping in a world she doesn't really know.

She would have reached the surface through a volcanic fumarole in the nearby mountains. Someone who helped her while in the wild before she reached Riddleport would be much more likely to be taken into her confidence.

GUYS:

A reminder that we ARE using background skills. Some of the submissions do not include them.

Really? Cool! I'll be glad to add those ranks.

DM Gee Em didn't include it in either the original recruitment post or the restart.

Adding is easy. Assuming something you're not told to have is far more problematic.

OK, I've started to look over the submissions.

Feedback: Flayed

ERRORS:

I see a few things here that you could fix.

1. Clerics of Irori get Improved Unarmed Strike as a bonus feat as "proficiency in the deity's sacred weapon." So your unarmed attacks do not provoke and can do lethal damage.

2. You have not included background skills.

BUILD:

Okay, the merciful healer archetype basically applies paladin mercies to channel energy, which is pretty cool. It means that you can use channel to get rid of status effects. You lose a domain and are forced to take the healing domain as your other one... the healing domain isn't great but it does mean you can use your domain slots for healing (normally you can't). At 6th level your healing spells are empowered.

So basically this character could probably supply a party with just about all their healing needs. That's pretty good.

But I wouldn't want someone to play a character that only heals. That could get boring for you and also means that in a fight you just sit around waiting for someone to get hurt. If you are taking action in a battle then I would expect that this reduces the ability of the enemy to deal damage and then less healing is required.

Build Suggestions:
1. I would adjust ability scores and give yourself a STR of at least 14. You're going to want to hit people with that Morning Star of yours.

2. What made you choose Irori as your deity? Normally with Improved Unarmed Strike at first level I would assume that you were planning on doing some combat maneuvers, like grapple. But if that's true you probably need even more STR to make them stick.

3. As much as you want to be good at channeling, you can't use channeling to harm undead, so you don't need to worry about your Channel save DC. So I wouldn't bother putting CHA so high. A CHA of 12 would be fine. Especially if you are taking the Extra Channel feat later on. I would probably do one of these:
STR 14 DEX 10 CON 14 INT 12 WIS 16 CHA 13
STR 14 DEX 10 CON 14 INT 10 WIS 16 CHA 14
STR 15 DEX 10 CON 14 INT 10 WIS 16 CHA 13
STR 16 DEX 10 CON 14 INT 10 WIS 15 CHA 13
STR 16 DEX 08 CON 14 INT 12 WIS 15 CHA 13

4. I don't see anything in your character that really ties to Irori specifically. If you are not going for combat maneuvers then I probably wouldn't choose Irori. As a slave liberator you probably want a NG or CG deity with the healing domain. Maybe Milani. Or Sarenrae.

Other Pointers:

* Your beacon of faith trait basically will allow you to boost your CL for a healing spell by 2 one time per day. This means that one spell you can add +2 HP of healing. I would suggest the Blessed Touch trait instead, which adds +1 to ALL your healing spells and channels.
* If you have a heavy shield in one hand and a melee weapon in the other, you cannot cast spells with somatic components. As a caster you probably want a light shield instead, which leaves a hand free. You can put your melee weapon in that hand while you cast with your primary hand.
* Don't bother preparing stabilize. You have rebuke death which is better, and you also have heal skill.
* Consider using a longspear. You won't be able to use a shield, but it will keep enemies at a distance.
* With a low DEX I wouldn't bother investing too much money in a ranged weapon. You can't use a crossbow while you have a shield in your off hand anyway (unless it is a buckler). Javelins are cheap and add your STR to damage. Same with slings.
* Your skills are really weak as a cleric, so I would put your FCB into extra skill ranks instead of hit points.

I appreciate getting feedback, but I've been playing (basically) this game since 1979. In that time, I've learned how to use and abuse the rules. I've also learned that I enjoy the game better when I focus on the character and how he fits into the world, how he views the world, then when I get that build truly optimized.

*) Not all choices are about mechanics. All of your recommendations are. If I'm going to go for a purely mechanical build, I might as well only heal, because that's not how I play this game.

*) Irori is the choice based on true freedom and choosing for yourself what improving you is. Irori tells Flayed that he is his own boss, that Flayed himself decides what is good and proper for Flayed. Very powerful message for a former slave of Demons, and the driving force for his choice to oppose demons in accordance with the Campaign Trait selected.

*) Stabilize is ranged and can save a life when the battlefield prevents getting there immediately.

*) I thought I remembered Clerics of Irori started with Improved Unarmed Strike, but I didn't find a direct reference to it scanning the PFSRD materials. Err on the side of not taking things without evidence. Solves the problem of having an empty hand for casting, though, doesn't it?

I'm going to stop there, because I find the rest of your feedback to be more about the character you would want to play instead of about helping me get a build I want to play.

We both know Flayed will fill the healer role very well, whether he is the healer you would build or not.

Jack Callahan - Human Inquisitor of Cayden Cailean

GM Mowque might submit a Stonelord Paladin
Cuàn might submit a Chirurgeon Alchemist or a Siegebreaker Fighter

I think that's all we've seen so far.

Hey, Khavakra, you forgot little old me :-) In your defence I didn't give much information

I'll be posting a half-elf slayer from Riddleport:

build ideas:

so I don't take up a lot of space:

My character will be a street rat from Riddleport, I was thinking his mom might be a human priestess of Calistria, but I don't want to step on Drogeney's toes. Hey Drogeney!

first trait will be 'criminal' to get the +1 Disable device, and to reflect his upbringing. His skill focus will also be in disable device and second level he will take 'trapfinding.'

I really like the "Gentlemen Bastards" books and I want my character to be a 'tough' like Jean Tannen, but not sure if I'm going to do two-weapon or two handed weapon.

Stats will be either: Str: 18, Dex: 14, Con: 14, Int: 10, Wis: 12, Cha: 8 or Str: 16, Dex: 16, Con: 14, Int: 10, Wis: 12, Cha: 8

If I go str 18, Dex 14 he will use a two-handed weapon AC will be lower due to dex, and + 10 Disable device. Feat will be PA. If I go Str: 16, dex: 16, AC will be slighly higher + 11 Disable Device. Feat will be two-weapon fighting. I'm going to go look at the game to see if there is any combat yet.

Profession (scribe) +7 (1 rank, +3 WIS, +3 Class)

Assuming a cleric, inquisitor or oracle will handle religion

It looks like skills will need to be: dungeoneering, engineering and probably geography.

Any input from present players would be invited: I will probably go two-handed fighter to do more damage early on.

Fair enough! Odds are, that probably wouldn't be Jack since he's not one to leave the city proper without a decent reason. Of course the fact she's obviously trying to not cause trouble within its limits would immediately boost his opinion of her and prompt him to stick up for her in the event of someone getting uppity. Since Riddleport is a haven for criminal activity, folks like her (outsiders not actively trying to start something) are a very welcome sight. Mainly because it's one less person he has to keep tabs on.... which ironically would make him want to keep tabs on her. X)

Fair enough. Sounds like you started playing D&D around the same time as me.

I did want to make sure though that you understand that when I pointed out that the party needed a healer, that doesn't mean that you must be only a healer. Admittedly Flayed will be very good at healing, but it doesn't look like he will be very good at much else. And it's hard to tell what the intent of a build is compared to the actual build, so I'm not sure if there is something else you were going for.

I found THIS FAQ about unarmed strike as a deity's favored weapon. I knew it was in there somewhere. You are right that the CRB isn't very clear on this point.

Robert: You weren't sure whether you wanted to go STR 18 DEX 14, or STR 16 DEX 16. It's worth mentioning that the ranger combat style feats granted at 2nd, 6th, and 10th level do not need to meet the prerequisites for the feats (which is why they are awesome). Which means you can go STR 18 and DEX 14 and still go two-weapon fighting if you want.

It's also worth mentioning that a half-elf can take the ancestral arms alternate race trait to get proficiency in an exotic weapon. You could take two-bladed sword with it. I have actually never been in a game where anyone used one. At first level you could just use it as a two-handed weapon until you get TWF at second level.

Yes, Nessa has Knowledge (local) but she only has +1, and she's a sorcerer so she doesn't get many skills. So feel free to take that one if you want.

Gabsen Background skills will probably be
Profession-Soldier
Lore-Chellish 13th Legion

So he'll get another skill point, in Survival

Thanks for the feedback Khavakra! This is the ‘fluff’ for RH’s Slayer, Elek. I’ve got two ‘crunches’ done.

I can take the ranger combat style as a slayer as well, and will do so, whichever I select. The question is more about damage early on and effective range attacks early. Once were at higher levels, range for the casters won't be an issue. but at lower levels it might be. So I wanted an opinion from the group. Heavy melee damage, lower AC for a front liner. Or, lighter melee damage, slightly higher AC and slightly better ranged attacks from the front liner.

I will keep the 'Racial Trait' 'adaptability' for the + 3 to disable device.

Khavakra wrote:

I thought I would take the half-elf Alternate Racial Trait:
PFSRD wrote:
Sophisticate: Half-elves who strive to embody the culture in which they live develop a keen instinct for the ebb and flow of fashions, fads, and political trends. They gain a +2 racial bonus on Knowledge (history) and Knowledge (local) checks and can use those skills untrained even for checks with a DC of 10 or more. This racial trait replaces elven immunities.

So he will definitely take: Geography, Dungeoneering, engineering and probably some in local or history.

Again thanks for the feedback Khavakra, I will wait a couple of days for anymore input, then post his full crunch.

background:

Elek was born and raised in Riddleport and proud to call the city home.

His mother is a lovely half-elf named Lialda Narcinal, who is a priestess at The House of the Silken Veil which is the temple and bawdy house dedicated to the deity Calistria in Riddleport. She is now the overseer to new initiates. But she was not always so.

When she was younger she was a silk scarf dancer, combining her Varisian mother’s exotic dancing style with her elfin father’s grace. She was very popular with the Varisian Sczarni, eventually catching the eye of a Sczarni gangster. A certain Zandu Kardforgató.

Zandu started life as a Sczarni smuggler. When he came to the attention of one Captain Cromarcky. When Cromarcky was just a Captain, Kardforgató would transport his wears north and sell them in the Velashu Uplands. When Captain Cromarcky became Overlord Cromarcky, Zandu Kardforgató become responsible for overseeing all goods shipped by land to the northern Uplands.

So when Zandu, now in his middle ages, noticed Lialda dancing, she quickly became Kardforgató’s Mistress and a major source of information for Shorafa Pamodae.

Lialda’s and Zandu’s relationship lasted for several years. When Zandu’s wife passed away the dancer even moved in with him. Soon bearing him a son, Elek. There was no misunderstanding between the two. Elek would not inherit much more than his name from Zandu, everything he had would go to his eldest son, Eugeni. But Zandu loved Elek and Lialda and they brought much joy to him late in life. In Varisian style the Kardforgató family took in the half-elves as their own.

Embracing the Sczarni lifestyle, Elek learned much from his father and other relatives. From his Father he learned about Geography and smuggling. With his ‘cousin’ Zeldana he joined an adolescent gang called the ‘Silkblades’ which specialized in ‘second-story’ work. There focus, climbing in windows and stealing jewelry. With his cousins help he learned about architecture and what types of buildings were easiest to break into. He enjoyed living with the Kardforgató’s and was devastated at fifteen when his father died.

After the funeral he and his mother moved back to the Silken Veil. She, to become the overseer to new initiates. He, to began his training at ‘the school.’ There is no other name for it. In the temple of Calistria there are two types of ‘worshipers’ those with the personality or disposition to entertain guests. Or those who are trained for grimmer work. Many are trained for both. Neither Elek’s personality or disposition were given to ‘entertaining’ so he began training as a ‘tough’ a ‘strongarm’ for the temple.

Elek enjoyed the physicality of the training. He took well to the weapons and the exercise. He enjoyed the classwork about the city and the underground. He didn’t mind removing difficult customers. But one event would change everything.

Elek was sent out with another student, a half-orc named Ausk. There was a pimp named Sumak, running a brothel in The Rotgut District. It was said that he wasn't paying the proper 'tax' to the temple and Mistress Pamodae wanted him ‘spoken to.’ The morning Sumak was to bring his payment Elek and Ausk waited outside his brothel, a place called ‘little heaven.’ When Sumak exited, the two escorted him back in the building and ‘insisted’ on counting the till. The Mistress was right, the amount the halfling was bringing was short. As instructed they gathered the entire amount of the ‘profits’ as an example. Then it went south.

Ausk decided that the halfling needed his arms broken as an example. Elek was shocked. A fight ensued between the two. Elek struggled with the larger half-orc, yelling at the pimp, ”Run you stupid Peck!” As Elek turned to see if the halfling was fleeing, his fellow student hit him square in the jaw. Knocking him out cold. When Elek came to, he was alone in the office, money, peck and half orc gone.

When Elek returned to the Silken Veil he was immediately sent to Mistress Pamodae’s office: where the Mistress and his mother was waiting. The Mistress sitting behind the large mahogany desk, his mother standing dutifully beside her. Elek stood for a moment, shifting from one foot to the other. After what seemed like an eternity he began to blurt out. ”He was going to…” The mistress raised a gloved hand at the same moment his mother gave a look that would freeze a winter wolf. Elek closed his mouth. The Mistress cleared her throat, then spoke. ”The goddess, cannot appear to be of a double mind.” She looked from Elek to his mother. ”It’s not good for business.” Elek began to sweat.

The Mistress, lowered her hand, then looked from Elek to his mother then back. ”I am not questioning your love for Calistria young man, I am questioning your ability to do what is necessary. After speaking with your mother I think it would be good if you found another form of employment.” She look back to his mother, ”Outside of the Leeward District of course.” She then looked down at some paper work on her desk, looking back up. ”Your dismissed.”

Lialda gave Elek a quick glance so he would know to keep his mouth shut till they exited the office. Once outside the door she rolled her eyes at him asking ”What were you thinking starting a fight in front of that little pimp? Oh never mind, you heart was never in that kind of work anyway. Give me a hug and gather your stuff. It’s time you cut the apron strings anyway. Do you have any ideas or do I need to make a few contacts?” Elek thought for a moment and shrugging answered. ”’Cousin’ Zeldana, and her husband Ionacu own a cheap grog shop near the docks. I’ll see if they have a bunk. Maybe find a job near there if they don’t need any help.”

Soon after Elek found himself headed to the ‘Goldin Goblin’ to see if they might need a bouncer.

appearance:

Though half elf, with his olive skin, large expressive violet eyes, lithe body with long limbs, and jet black hair: It’s easy to see Elek’s Varisian heritage on his fathers side. Which he is very proud of. He emphasizes this by wearing multiple scarves with his coat and displaying several ‘varisian style’ tattoos on his hands and neck.

personality:

Elek’s personality is a study in contradictions. He embraces the lifestyle of his parents. Happy to be involved in smuggling, gambling, burglary or any of many illegal or illicit occupations. But at heart he is hardworking, loyal and generous. Giving his time and energy to supporting his friends and family willing to share what he has with others and loathing to bully the underdog.
On the Myers Briggs scale Elek is an ISFJ Personality (“The Defender”) ISFJs are true altruists, meeting kindness with kindness-in-excess and engaging the work and people they believe in with enthusiasm and generosity.

I can take the ranger combat style as a slayer as well, and will do so, whichever I select.

Yep, that was exactly my point.

As for 18/14 or 16/16, I would go with wherever my feats are going.

If you are going to use TWF as a fighting style (which is generally considered good for slayers), then most of your feats will out of necessity be in melee. So you might as well go with 18/14, since you will mainly be a melee character.

On the other hand, let's say you use your combat style feats for archery, and decide you are going to be a switch hitter. In that case, I'd just take a big two-handed weapon like greatsword or falchion. Aside from power attack you don't need a lot of feats for that melee style, meaning you can afford to get things like precise shot and rapid shot through the combat style feats.

After some more thought I'll actually make a Panoply Savant Occultist focusing on the Saint's Holy Regalia panoply.

The focus for the character would be on solely on healing for the first few levels but it'll be able to branch out from level 4-5 onward. Before then it would be limited to just normal attacks for melee.

It would also be decent skill wise, though not fantastic.

As it stands I'm only not sure on the race. Can't really decide between Tiefling and Half-Elf.

Hey, I had plans to submit a character but I added another game unexpectedly and it would be irresponsible for me to stretch myself any thinner, so I won't be submitting her.

It seems like you guys have some good submissions and more to come. Good luck everyone!

Looking for Work

Source Second Darkness Player's Guide pg. 15 (Amazon)
Although out of work, you aren’t particularly keen on the prospect of gambling away your last remaining coins simply for a chance at riches. That said, if the Gold Goblin’s fortunes reverse after this big gambling tournament, you’re relatively certain its owner, Saul Vancaskerkin, will be needing to hire on some new staff members. You’ve secured payment for the tournament, and intend on attending mostly to check the place out, to decide if it’s a place you’d want to work at (as a bouncer, bartender, croupier, server, entertainer, spotter, or cook), and hopefully get a chance to catch Saul’s eye and make an impression. You’ve long worked at honing your skills, and are quite accomplished and certain that you have something to offer. Pick one of the following skills: Bluff, Craft (any), Diplomacy, Intimidate, Perform (any), Profession (gambler), or Spot. You gain a +1 trait bonus in that skill, and that skill is always considered a class skill for you.

DM Gee-Em For the "looking for work" SD trait will perception be used instead of spot?

Yes

Looks like our current list is:

Flayed - Half Orc Merciful Healer Cleric
Chalkou - Catfolk Ravener Hunter/Sanctified Slayer Inquisitor
Gabsen - Human Fighter
Jack Callahan - Human Inquisitor of Cayden Cailean
Elek Kardforgató - Half-Elf Slayer

Interest:
GM Mowque might submit a Stonelord Paladin
Cuàn might submit a Panoply Savant Occultist

If its not to late to say I'm interested, probably a kineticist(psychokinetic) with kinetic healing, otherwise range combat and a bit of skill monkeying

I’ll be submitting a melee/skills alchemist tomorrow. Crunch is done, working on backstory.

Silver Crusade

I think I might submit a hunter or druid. I have never played second darkness, so would a hunter be completely out of place? I think a hunter or druid would cover skills/healing/frontline rather well, while not exactly excelling at any in particular.

that side, a paladin or inquisitor might also be fun. I'll have a think and post something tomorrow hopefully.

We do start in a urban area, but there is plenty of opportunities for hunters to shine throughout the adventure path. If that class appeals to you, you won't go wrong with it here.

You have till 11:59pm EST the 23rd. So no, not too late. :)

Here is a rough outline crunch wise for my submission.
Derick was a half-elf, with drow blood(only minor, mostly just flavor), and so was on outcast his life even before his enslavement, as his elvish parent would have nothing to do with him. He would become a slave to one of the prominent crime-lords for most of his childhood, from about 6-14, before managing to escape to the wilds, where a ranger took him in. after about two years he left the ranger to fend for himself, tired of having to listen to others. He met his companion during this time, and formed a bond with the wild lands, as he admired the straight-forward nature of, well nature. He is returning to the city with two goals in mind, one a request from his teacher to investigate the blot and its connection with the town. The other, a more personal matter of getting revenge on the crime-lord who enslaved him, and keep him for doing so to others.

I'll be working on a more fleshed out background, including one or two questionnaire type aspects tomorrow.

I did say no half-drow in my initial post, but if you make it so your character doesn't know he's half-drow I'll let it slide this time.

I'm thinking an aasimar paladin (sacred servant) of Yuelral. Playing off as being elven descended instead of human descended (no mechanical change, just superficial/background). Got in trouble for reading texts he wasn't even supposed to know about, much less learn from (will take the Unsanctioned Knowledge feat to show this mechanically). But since he was aasimar (which is pretty rare for elves), they sent him off to some associate Cypher mages, who asked for help Researching the Blot, rather than any more severe punishment.

Will VMC be a thing?

Do you need a full character sheet for submission?

What kind of background do you like? (narrative? descriptive? outline?)

at DM, yes, basically the only thing that would even show it is his hair, which is pure white. When I say drow blood, I didn't mean "half" more like, 1/16, as it was generations ago that it got mixed in. so neither he, or most people would now it was there.

Haven't quite decided if his mother was a slave or not just yet.

Scarab Sages

Here's my submission for a human alchemist, Professor Leoric Faust. I think I'd fill a front line/skills role well. This is not a bomb-thrower alchemist, but pure melee.

If you're looking for a consistent player, I have over 17,000 posts on the boards over many years. I'd be happy to join you.

Ok, His background is more fleshed out now. I might add a combat scene if I find the time.

This would be my submission

VMC can be a thing.

Yes, I'll want the sheet; you can link it to me along with the background, but you don't need to make an alias. I want a full submission 'cause it tells me you are invested.

As for background, I love that stuff so as much as you want. Not too picky about the format, just so I can get a good idea who the character is.

I'll be submitting Felina Darini. She's a Grimspawn Tiefling Panoply Savant Occultist focusing on the Saint's Holy Regalia. Combined with several Item Mastery feats that will turn her into a pretty good healer. She'll further diversify once those feats are obtained at lvl 5.

In addition she has quite a few skills covered, including Disable Device. She can't do magical traps though, other than sending in a summoned critter to spring it.

She also is a melee combatant, though a rather bad one at this level.

I'm still working on her background but these are the key parts:

Spoiler:
- Mother was eldest daughter of a rich family in Magnimar and a junky. Dad was he supplier but Felina has never met him.
- Mother died of unknown causes within half a year after Felina was born and she was raised by her grand parents.
- Grand parents were mystery cultists, so they worshipped the various empyreal lords, and granddad was a collector of religious paraphernalia.
- Felina was renamed to Felina, her mother named her Swan, and was kept indoors as much as possibly. This was both because her grandparents were ashamed of their tiefling grandchild and because she wanted to protect her from a world hostile to tieflings.
- Starting her teen years she'd sneak out at nights to wander the streets and play cards at seedy inns.
- Felina was always fascinated by her grandfather's collection and he taught her a lot about where things came from and what they were.
- As her grandparents grew older Felina became their primary carer.
- When the grandparents passed away her aunts and uncles, which had hardly ever seen over the years, descended upon the estate like vultures. The only reason she got anything was that the estate's staff secured it for her.
- The secured for her an old censer her grandmother had used when heading religious ceremonies and a green marble holy symbol of some ancient god of healing, now her implements. In addition they got her a few hundred gold pieces to sustain herself.
- This was almost a year ago and since then Felina has travelled north along the coast in order to discover the world.
- She has almost run out of money so she'd be looking for a job to make some.

Looks like our list is expanding!

Chalkou - Catfolk Ravener Hunter/Sanctified Slayer Inquisitor
Gabsen - Human Fighter
Jack Callahan - Human Inquisitor of Cayden Cailean
Elek Kardforgató - Half-Elf Slayer

Interest:
GM Mowque might submit a Stonelord Paladin
SOLDIER-1st might submit an Aasimar Paladin

I'm going to give those last two one more day to submit finished characters, but by day's end I'm going to close this re-recruitment.

Would it be acceptable to change the Scion of Humanity aasimar alternate racial trait to Scion of Elvishness or whatever?

Also: will there be enough downtime to bother investing in crafting?

Yes and yes.

Delightful. Here is the character sheet. PCGen doesn't have Inner Sea Races, so I couldn't add Celestial Contact, and it doesn't seem to display my Naive drawback either, but if I'm selected I'll manually add those in to my profile.

Background will be forthcoming. I hope.

Ivellios background:
His entire life seemed to be little else but a constant stream of highly unlikely events, both fortunate and not, that he seemed to breeze through without the slightest concern or care or, frequently, even notice. I, like many others I think, at first thought that he was merely a supreme player of the game, able to manipulate events quietly and cleverly, all while maintaining that innocent, beneficent air. His ability to turn any misfortune, no matter how severe, into a timely and overwhelming positive outcome was uncanny, and I honestly thought that he could have taken over the kingdom. But no, though it is painful, sometimes exceedingly so, to acknowledge, our salvation came at the hands of an elf whose most significant attribute was an in-erring ability to be in the right place at the right time. The fact that he unknowingly and uncaringly out-maneuvered some of the greatest political minds in recent history is merely salt in the wound.

It started from the moment he was born. Though it was so rare as to be non-existent, the memory of elves is long, and enough of us recognized the signs of celestial interference that word of his heritage quickly spread. His family, the Amakiirs, were already mildly influential, having a solid history of service as rangers of Ketephys, and by the end of the months long celebration of an aasimar birth, they had risen in influence dramatically, managing to have members in the leadership of almost every significant militia unit.

So of course, when he joined the church of Yuelral, a goddess who, though highly respected, hardly had the most influential church, and was not particularly close to the church of Ketephys, we all thought it a ridiculous move. When he finished his paladin consecration, most barely noticed. When he became the personal attendant to the Crystal Druid, the head of Yuelral’s church, we shrugged it off. His family didn’t though, and quickly took advantage of his position, managing to maneuver one of their own into a advisor position to the Viridian Crown, with the blessings and support of two different churches. That gave him our full attention, but by then it was too late. He began to frequently visit Iadara. He was quite scholarly, and somehow in his perusal of holy texts in the Royal Library, stumbled upon the grimoire of Iorveth, a powerful spell sage who had been highly placed in the Royal line, until he betrayed many and joined Treerazer’s cult.

Being something of an inciteful (and classified) document, we all scrambled to ensure that this information did not leak to the general public, or even worse, the other races. After an excessive amount of favors called in, we finally managed to subtly wipe his memory (or so we thought), and redirected him towards some far off human mages, under the guise of scholarly assistance. We thought that was that.

We never expected him to come back.

Well were down to three hours, good luck all...

Just to check but is Lisa's element Aether?

Yes, shes a psychokinetic with Aether as first element

Crosses fingers

Thank you all for reapplying. Again a lot of good ones, but we had to make a decision.

If Felina, Elek, and Chalkou could report to the discussion thread and there either tell me to use the picture from your alias or send me a different picture for use in Roll20 for combat. Please do so ASAP.

Everyone else, thank you and good luck elsewhere.

alas, it seems that the city of his birth, and indeed the place he detests would come to devour the poor Derick. fare the well, and best of luck and your adventures!

may the dice gods be ever in your favor

Have fun!

Ah nuts. Welp, can't complain! Thanks for the consideration, folks! Have fun!

Greetings, folks! So, I am in need of 3 or so players for my on-going Second Darkness campaign ... again.

Currently, we have one surviving character, a lovely tiefling sorceress. I am not really concerned about party composition, but please check the first post to see character building rules and such.

You would most likely be bringing in your characters as either current or hopeful employees at the Gold Goblin or something similar. Feel free to read up on the campaign so far for ideas.

Previous applicants welcome to try again!

Looks like you're starting at second level. What do you want to use for initial character wealth?

I've got a rogue I'd like to submit.
