Dot. Now that sounds pretty interesting.

Dotting in for Azlant.

Dotty McDotdot

Definitely interested in this!

Dotty dotty dot dot, dot dot.

Going to ask a dumb question here, I don't play PFS so who exactly are famous pathfinders anyway? The class Iconics?

There's a bunch and I'll be adding more to give PCs a range of choices.

Definitely interested

Thinking a Human or Semi-Human Rogue type, Pathfinder/Skill-monkey basically.

Would you allow the Azlanti Inheritor racial trait for this game? (From Humans of Golarian.)

OK.

And yes I would.

As with the BULK of my Recruitments I'll allow all Paizo and all Third party supplements. The only requirements will be:

1. One side of the Gestalt HAS to be a Pathfinder Society PRC the revisions of which I'll post here, and
2. PCs have to take a "Legacy" Trait to be a descendant of a Legendary Pathfinder Society member.

I'll be lifting NPCs from the various Paizo supplements as well as creating my own Pathfinder Society NPCs.

.

Dot.

I think I may go evangist cleric anf pathfinder chronicler... hmmm

OK. Got it. I just need to review the Prestige classes to get an idea on what to Gestalt with.

So much dot!

Pathfinder Society around? Check
Gestalt, with a flavourful twist? Check
Aboleths!? Check
Standard Storyteller's character building, including Psionics and PoW? Checkmate.

Consider this dotted, good sir.

I've always liked gishes, what better to fight the aboleth with? Might try a Magus (or maybe one of the pseudo-magus archetypes for other classes) assuming I can avoid it being too one dimensional. I like my characters to be useful out of combat, particularly in a PbB. /Dons thinking cap.

I'll probably have the Pathfinder Society Gestalt characters up for review around 4th of July weekend, just an FYI.

Awesome.

Sounds like there'll be plenty of time to develop our concepts then, I'll be on holiday mid august and it would be a shame to miss the boat.

I probably would not have Recruitment end until early September.

Shadow, is Student of War considered a PF PrC?

Yes.

So, are you converting 5(Chronicler, Delver, Field Agent, Savant, Student of War) PrCs, or four(and not including one of the aforementioned?)

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I was not planning on converting Student of War as I was not aware of it until you told me about it today. I will probably convert it though as it is Pathfinder Society and will also give PCs another option.

Student of War looks pretty sweet, never noticed that before. TBH these gestalt classes are going to be fun. There's a bunch of 2+ int skill classes that are fun in combat but usually boring otherwise, having 8+ int skills is going to fix that ^^.

Loremaster? Is that an option? The fluff fits.

Though I am thinking I will be going with the Pathfinder Chronicler. Honestly that is a prestige class I have always wanted to play with.

Definitely excited about this. I've already come up with some fun ideas - of course, the execution of said ideas will largely depend on what the prestige classes modified to base classes looks like.

Very intriguing idea.

Still no sign of the Player's Guide. ;-(

I'll be on a board break for a few days where I will not be DMing but will be prepping Outlines and Specific Scenes for other games I run here. During this time I will try and get the Traits and the Pathfinder Society Base Classes drafted.

I shall dot as well

The Player's Guide for this will not drop until mid-August at least. I will endeavor to get the Gestalt classes and Traits up by early August, my break consisted of less behind the scenes board time than I was anticipating having ;-(

Well, I'll wait.

We shall wait, then, seeing as we can't really start until the AP's out, anyway :).

Wonderful :)

Once I get my Forgotten Realms game rolling I'll have more time to dedicate to the items above. Likely this weekend I will start rolling out classes and Traits for people to review.

Dot for interest.

Excellent.

Sorry, that one was Recruited for and closed a few weeks back in another Recruitment thread and it's an 8 person group so already pretty large as it is. I'll keep you in mind though if any openings develop.

Auntie Dot

This could be interesting.

But...

Which four PrC do you mean?

Peet wrote:

I just read through this to dot for interest, and saw that they are listed up the page a little where someone had a question about a fifth (and he confirmed there will be a fifth). Here they are:

Chronicler, Delver, Field Agent, Savant, Student of War

Choosing a PrC is going to be interesting. Assuming they don't change dramatically, some of them have 6+ interesting skills and bardic knowledge which really rounds out 2+int classes. On the other hand with a table size of 6-8 maybe it's better to specialise. Guess I just need to wait and see the players guide.

I was trying to finish them up Friday night and then my friend called me and had me on the phone for 2 1/2 hours and there went that... ;-(

Figured this would be helpful:

I mentioned this in the product thread for Pathfinder #121, but it bears repeating here too. With the ramp up for GenCon, the Player's Guide is moving a little slower than normal. I try to have it available when subscribers start getting their PDFs, which is any day now, but that's not going to happen this time around. I'd expect the Player's Guide to drop anywhere from as soon as the end of the week to the street date of the AP (August 17th).

Also, Shadow, reading over today's Paizo blog, it seems its very easy and even somewhat encouraged, to incorporate a sort of 'session 0' interview process.

I definitely think you should include this in your recruitment/opening of game.
