In August, this will be the clean thread for the Ruins of Azlant Recruitment.

More details to come...

Dot!

Intriguing.

dot

Dot as well

Innnnnteresting.

I will be placing a dot for this one oh mighty Storyteller Shadow

Sovereign Court

Yawp.

...Ruins of Azlant, you say? Depending on how a couple of other recruitments turn out, I'm possibly very interested...

1 person marked this as a favorite.

That's a lot of interest pretty fast.

Alright the twist.

I will be converting the four Pathfinder prestige classes into base classes. Each player will be submitting a Gestalt character with the Pathfinder PRCs as one side of the Gestalt.

I will also create homebrew Traits where PCs are descendants of famous Pathfinders which will also be selected at character creation.

Ooh, that's very interesting. Emphatic dot.

Dark Archive

Heh, I'll do anything with you DM'ing.

So our characters might be trying to live up to their parent's/parents' expectations or just trying to make their own way?

Sure, whichever you prefer. I would expect a mixture of both.

I'll end up taking 6-8 submissions for this one as I expect strong interest from people who are interested both in a new AP as well as people who already play in one (or more) of my games and would like to be in more ;-)

I try to accept one or two submissions from newbs will likely make it as I like to give people a chance to crack into PbP's as it can be hard to do if you've not already been accepted into a PbP.

Liberty's Edge

Interested

Dot for interest.

I would gestalt pathfinder chronicler like a mad dog!

Sovereign Court

Nope.

Nope? :-)

Sovereign Court

Oh, I went from "yawp" (I'd like to play in this game) to "nope" (not interested in the twist).

That looks like Nope >_>

I shouldn't be submitting to more games, but in a couple of months, we'll see...

Ah well, can't please everyone!

Sovereign Court

Yeah, it's just a personal preference thing. I'm sure you'll have no shortage of interest :)

Very much interested! Love the 'twist' but let's be fair, I already knew from your other thread, lol.

What are the four Pathfinder PrCs? I'm only aware of the Chronicler.

Don't want to miss this.

You also have the Delver, Field Agent, and Savant, from Seekers of Secrets. I'm guessing those are the four referenced.

Dotting, Storyteller Shadow has to many good ideas. Your hogging them all damn it. ;)

You guessed correctly :-)

This sounds cool! Count me in Storyteller Shadow. I'm already in 2 other of your games, why not one more!

Gestalting the Pathfinder Society-themed prestige classes sounds excellent! I'll definitely be looking forward to putting in an idea depending on how other recruitments shake out. I feel like the only one on the forums who hasn't played in one of your games. :) Do you happen to have those conversions ready to go, so I could use them to noodle over ideas?

Dotting because I will inevitably act against my voice of reason and apply to this and also probably other things.

Not yet. By mid June or so I'll have them up.

One of the interesting things is that some of the classes are bent toward a certain class. It makes sense for people to angle their pathfinder class away from their primary focus.

Dotting because shadow.

Ah yes, I like this twist. I want to play this game. Count me in the running for it!

Dotting in. Looking forward to Ruins of Azlant.

Not interested in gestalt campaigns. Good luck and have fun folks.

So will we get a "graduation gift" magic item? (Or in some cases, something snatched from the trophy room when you left in the dead of night.)

After all, I wouldn't let my kids go out into the wilderness without a ring of protection and a cloak of resistance. At the very least.

Yes indeed, a Wayfinder! ;-)

Dotting as usual :)

I'm looking to getting into a game again, so consider me officially interested!

Ahhh... tough love parenting rears it's head again. And strong locks on the trophy room.

Woot! I love the Pathfinders! I love the stories Storyteller Shadow can weave! None of my RL players are interested in this adventure path because they are lame and fear Aboleths, I will be mulling over a few ideas while I wait for this to happen, on the edge of my seat of course :D

Also hi Rennaivx!

I'm not sure that Gestalt is the best first experience for new players, but this is a very cool idea and I hope some of them submit!

As there are only 4 prestige classes, will there be any restrictions around them? I'm imagining a scenario in which 6 different people all submit with the same 1-2 prestige classes.

How will Savant work? Doesn't it increase spells-per-day of an existing class? Which class' spells would it get?

Both relevant questions. I'll address them once I get a clear Recruitment plate. Recruiting 6 games right now, one a full blown new game so that's absorbing time. Not to mention regular updates for my active games.

Are you aiming for a more light-hearted group, dark and gritty, or a mix?

No preference, Backgrounds will likely matter more than builds here which is part of the reason for the Trait tying a PC to a particular Pathfinder Society figure. I plan on creating / researching a LARGE number of these Traits to allow for diversity of submissions.

Dotting for more goodness! :D
