Ready to go, though willing to take suggestions on a good avatar for Kasathas.
Pangea-Alpha |
Tough indeed to find a big brained avatar!
Maybe one of the TRIAXIANs (under subtype I think)?
@LINE-04 "Lynn"
Do not want to butt into things that are not my business, but, between Androids... just in case you are not aware, there are Profession Kits (worth 20 Cr.) that give a +4 to your Profession rolls.
(maybe signed holograms of yourself?)
LINE-04 "Lynn" |
@PANGEA-alpha
*thumbs up* I'm making full use of both the kit and the Professional clothing that gives another +1 circumstance bonus. Gotta make up for that android CHA penalty somehow :>
I've been trying to puzzle out if making custom computers via the rules on pg 213-217 of the CRB is OK for SFS, or if we're restricted to personal comms only. I don't see anything to block it... but I'm used to PFS where anything even slightly "custom" was usually locked down tight.
Pangea-Alpha |
But aren't the Kit + the Clothes both Circumstance bonuses, thus non-cumulative? (of course, Icon is with CHA, thus lower for you... bleh! Living people do not understand our Android beauty).
Have not read the Computer entries yet...
LINE-04 "Lynn" |
Lol Pangea, your comment just had me flipping through the book in self-doubt. But thankfully, like Pathfinder, circumstance bonuses from different sources stack (see pg 266 in the CRB).
Pangea-Alpha |
Okay, thanks! )))
(sorry for the silly stress)

I'm itching to go here. It looks like this will be my first Starfinder game, since the other PbP I'm in is taking longer to start up.
:>

My most sincere apologies! I must have missed the confirmation of my selection! That said, I'm still working out equipment on two different characters! C:
One is a human priest mystic and the other would be a lashunta icon envoy. I'll pop on again in the morning with an update and to see what all of you wonderful crafters have thought up already c:

Free "bullets"!
Maybe you all spotted this in the FAQ:
Most weapons are sold fully loaded, and their listed bulk includes the bulk of their ammunition. For weapons that are sold without ammunition (such as grenade launchers and missile launchers), the bulk listed with the weapon is still the bulk of a fully loaded weapon.
Just in case you missed it... I love it (I created a Soldier, with a pistol... but no bullets! Had no Credits left after Heavy Armor and Pike!).
LINE-04 "Lynn" |
@Hiyami: She looks good to me so far. Had to do a bit of back-calculating to work out that you put your Lashunta skill bonuses in Diplomacy and Sense motive, but I didn't see any errors.
Actually, I guess there is one: Languages... You start with Common, your racial tongue (Castrovelian), the language of your home planet, bonus languages equal to your INT mod, and then an additional language for every rank you put in Culture. So in your case it looks like you're missing one (or maybe two if your home planet isn't Castrovel).
@Pangea: Nope, totally missed that one. Free bullets!

@GM Cwethan - I got my hands on the official .pdf of the Welcome to Starfinder Society Boon (and so Hmm has just added it to her GM downloads, with the link in her signature).
I ran a Quest (1-1) last Friday, and am running another one tomorrow night (Friday that is) so will sign the Welcome to SFS Boon to Pangea-Alpha, my -701 (I am a VO).
The Guide only says the Boon must go to one's -701, it does not state it must be the first Chronicle etc.. So I am fine running the game without slotting it on Pangea-Alpha (or I can slot it, whichever you prefer).
I can also (but I do not think it is needed to get the Boon, so was not planning to) apply credit for the Quest to Pangea-Alpha.
I would prefer not to, so as to start as a pure new character like all others.
Sorry to bother with this, but since SFS has all these rules, just wanted to give the heads up that I am putting the Boon on my -701 (this character) but am totally okay to not slot it etc. for this game.
Just tell me what you prefer, if anything, and it'll - of coure - be fine with me.

@GM Cwethan - Thanks!
(in the meantime Tonya put out a thread on the Welcome boon, so I can just apply it to my -701 without it being linked to a game etc.)
Pangea-Alpha |
Well, you can't use it while running pre-gens with it... but once you've finished that game w. a pregen then you can.
Markar |
Simple solution! I just switched my pregen to 702 and my first character to 701!
Please note the following changes GM Cwethan!
1. Player/Forum Name: Azih
2. Character's Name: Markar
3. Class and Level: Soldier 1
4. SFS# (and dash) 125190-701

The Welcome to Starfinder boon.
It is up on the PbP Forums, sorry, have to go so cannot look and link but you should find it with info' on how to report/get it etc..
You can get it for your -701 (first) character.

How do you think this works, GM Cwethan?
Link --> Promotional Boon
one of these is:
Promotional Bonus (Promotional Boon)
(at the bottom you find:)
Alternatively, once per scenario, while wearing a Pathfinder Society Roleplaying Guild Faction Pin, you may add 2d4 to a Culture skill check. For this roll you also treat Culture as if you were trained, even if you don’t have a rank in it.
So, does this mean we can, as of now, slot this boon, and use one of our PFS Faction pins for a 1 time Culture roll bonus? (it is specified that it is PFS not SFS for this one Culture roll - having to do with pre-Gap knowledge)
NOTE: I do not care much if I slot this now or not, mainly trying to get some feedback on how you think it works since this Boon slotting is new
GM Cwethan |
So while technically the time for boon-slotting is over, I'm inclined to allow it since they only finished putting the finishing-ish touches on the Promotional boons this week. Of course you do have to actually have the stuff, but I suspect a VA is likely to have at least something from the list lol.
Pangea-Alpha |
I have not received any SFS items yet.
I do have a bunch of the PFS Faction Pins (most of them actually, all, excluding The Exchange and Sovereign Court).
I can send a picture of them if you want.
So it would be that Alternatively, once per scenario, while wearing a Pathfinder Society Roleplaying Guild Faction Pin one that I would slot.
)))
Thanks!
e.
Pangea-Alpha has some old file, downloaded from a pre-Gap source, that talks about some Grand Lodge... was that a big booth in an Opera? Anyhow, there are many interesting rare cultural tidbits there...
GM Cwethan |
No need for the picture Alpha, honor system is fine with me.
I'm afraid Donavaan's profile is still missing a lot of important information. I'm quite happy with the other profiles, Lynne and Alpha (as the two most recent aliases to post in this thread) both have there's well organized in different ways. I'd recommend using one of them as a model.

I think you need to look over
So In Step 6 of that page is how you figure out your HP and SP.
Step 9 of that page you have Armor Class which says that the calculation for AC is 10 + your Dex mod + the EAC bonus of your armor for your EAC and the KAC bonus of your bonus of your armor for your KAC.
And in Step 9 you also have Resolve points which says Resolve Points is 1 + the ability score modifier for your class.
