On a Side Note, I kinda like this alias better than most of mine for a name. It's certainly cooler than my original.

Hey now!

Pink Floyd Rules!

Drugs or not, in fact I would argue it's way better without the drugs.

Shameful.

I hang my head in shame.

Their best album is Animals obviously

Well yeah Hendrix is better than Pink Floyd.

Captain Yesterday fun fact: I first experienced the pain of learning about death, when as an 8 year old, Captain Yesterday was tasked with writing a letter, and write one I did! A literary masterpiece of I do say so myself. Off Captain Yesterday marched to his teacher (my dad) with his letter, envelope and stamp and said "Do you know Jimi Hendrix's address?" "Um... we need to have a talk..."

I've been able to sing along to every song on Are You Experienced? since I was 5. :-)

I've gotta say, Captain: thanks for showing me that The Awesomes exists. It's really a kind of amazing series for super-hero fans!

Super hero parodies have been done before, but... it's not really a parody - it's comical, but it is a Super Hero show. Kind of like a more cynical/less family-friendly Incredibles (though I'd still cite that film as being superior).

Thanks!

Watch it from the beginning!

Three seasons, ten episodes each, I was surprised to find full episodes on YouTube, it's a Hulu Original Series.

They have some great actors on it, also a huge fan of Frantic:-D

Edit: Awesome! They do have all the episodes:-)

You're welcome, love that show! :-)

It's an excuse to role play another personality or an often ignored aspect of your personality. Truly, the best ones are multifaceted and deep.

But one dimensional jokes are fun as well, if they're a good enough joke.

I forgot this wonderful little parody Bastard! I had a lot of fun with him!

I was always that person with a nickname, had one as a youngen, had a different one as a tweener, and in high school people called me Rasta, even professionally I'm usually given a nickname, fittingly the only people that use my real name anymore are my wife and kids (tho if they know what's good for them, they'll call me dad, the kids I mean:-D)

Hey, at least I had the running gag about tons of babies popping out left and right to enjoy, and enjoy it I did, like a slow smoked baby goblin sandwich, because, really, what else do you expect me to do with a readily available source of meat? Raise it? I think not!

Momma! Is that you! I'd thought the Paladins murdered you sleeping in the middle of the day like they did to all the rest.

I start from confused and only get more chaotic as the day goes on. You'll get used to it.

How do you pronounce "Qlippoth", using only phonetic spelling?

I am very concerned with what's happening, we hosted French exchange students every summer growing up.

My mom has been working Facebook all night trying to check up on people.

By the way, I imagine this alias talks like the Secretary from Office Space.

2 people marked this as a favorite.

I know you didn't. I didn't want anyone to misconstrue it and then you passed the point of deletion.

I didn't think you would be insensitive. Based on your stories, you seemed to be raised with a moral compass, and I knew you weren't being a dick...but given the name of the alias and the timing, it would've looked REALLY bad. If it was someone I didn't regularly talk with I would've flagged it, but again, I figured you probably didn't even think about how it could be at the expense of the situation, because that kind of thought process isn't your style of humor. You're more silly, and that would have been...just mean.

Incidentally, I call them "kwill-poth" usually, but I have done "klip-poth" too.

Ah yes, Christmas shopping season, the time when ravenously surly middle aged country women descend on the city in packs consuming everything on sale in sight in an orgy of consumerism, then just as fast as they came in, they depart in their Chrysler Caravans, only to return two weeks hence.

Technically, they're all made-up words.

I like the way you think, I do

Because your technicalities are true
For after all we made our words
They're not just out there like the birds
So love and hate are things, oh yes
But how we say them, more or less
Is made up, silly, from way back when
Even my favorite word, calipygian!
That word is great, it's full of class
It means you have a sexy @$$!
I speak no lie, it exists in truth
I learned when playing Cranium, forsooth!

The first word I learned to spell all by myself was Catapult.

Edit: I was actually going to tell the story, but Tiny T-Rex awoke with a list of demands, so I shall tell it later. :-)

Technically Qlippoth isn't a made up word...

Unfortunately it doesn't provide English phonetics and the different transliterated spellings could indicate different acceptable non-Hebrew pronunciations.
