Altharikon winks at Ceren and gives a small smile. "No worries, dear." Deciding to try and end this now, he casts another long spell, he fires three missiles of force at the remaining ganger.

TRS moves over to help Alimony but is unsuccessful as she swats the androids hands away in a panic for breath.
Seeing the man isn't going to stand down from Vahni's pleas Altharikon sends missiles screaming at the thug. The missiles bash into the man, knocking him off the bridge, face down into the creek.
While we are out of combat, we still have to deal with the smoke.

Should all of those go through, I will be just unconscious.

Or we can all pin down our choking friends and turn on their environmental protections.
GM Tyranius |
You can help activate their environmental suits. I was mainly seeing what you were going to come up with. You could also just kick the smoke grenade away as well.
TRS moves to the source of the smoke and slides it into the creek with his foot. In no time the smoke begins to dissipate through the Space Station's immense filtration system, allowing those to be able to breath clean air once again.
Kentalch activates Chetna's environmental suit as the remaining group moves in to help the others.
Ceren looks pleased as noone seems too injured. She is confident that the work you have done ffor her new identity will be sufficient. You provide Ceren with the information pertaining to her new identity, at which point the wizened hacker departs to find Jubair and go into hiding. Before she departs she looks to TRS. "This is the most alive I have felt in ages. If you should ever need it I will help the Dataphiles where I can."
Historia-7 contacts you remotely shortly after you defeat the gangers. "Great work on the identity." A rudimentary courier robot greets you. It presents you with a gift box containing a standard datajack and 200 credits. A simple electronic message from Historia-7 indicates that the datajack is a token of thanks from the Dataphiles. The box also contains a frostbite-class zero rifle. The rifle is an old—albeit out-ofplace— acquisition of Ceren’s that Jubair found while cleaning out the family house.
Where to next Starfinders?
- The Acquisitives to meet with Radaszam “The Dealmaker” in the Nyori Palisades
- The Dataphiles to meet with Historia-7 in the Lorespire Complex (your current location)
- The Exo-Guardians to meet Zigvigix in the Downlow
- The Wayfinders to meet with Fitch in the Armada

"Wayfinders sounds like a plan, Al. A bit curious why, but don't tell if'n you don't want to."
If we have 10 minutes on the way, I'll pop RP to regain my SP. It is via a ship of some kind, I assume.
Kentalch |
"Why complain about the smoke, yes it almost killed ya, but it helped to level out those gangers fairly easy, didn't it?
"Let's go meet Fitch then!"
GM Tyranius |
Yes- You have the 10 minutes to rest as you need to. Just let me know if you are using it for the tracker. I only push ahead to help speed up PbP.
The Wayfinders’ transitory nature precludes them from having a single stationary headquarters on Absalom Station. Instead, the Wayfinders operate out of the Master of Stars, an enormous starship that is part of the Armada orbiting Absalom Station. The Master of Stars is currently undergoing extensive repairs, obsessively overseen by the Wayfinders’ leader Fitch, female Ysoki. A Society shuttle takes the PCs out to the orbiting ship.
The station’s Armada can be seen from the shuttle’s view screen as it takes off, gleaming figures standing out against the emptiness of space. The Master of Stars immediately stands out from the rest, as layers and layers of scaffolding obscure its hull. Tiny lights flicker among the metal beams as distant figures weld plates and heat shields to the ship’s exterior. The shuttle smoothly glides closer until it reaches the starship’s docking bay, slipping through the magic field that keeps the hold pressurized with breathable atmosphere. As the shuttle doors open, a small drone flies in and pops up a holoscreen, displaying a harried-looking ratfolk.
“Finally, fresh meat!” the ysoki exclaims over the screen, sounding pleased. “Name’s Fitch—pleasantries over, time to get to work. I had some trouble earlier with the lights flickering on the ship, and now both the lights and computers have suddenly gone out on E-Deck. No idea what’s causing it, but you work this job long enough and—” Fitch’s attention flicks to something offscreen, and she shouts “Kirkath! The welding torch is not a toy! You wanna go in the toddler’s pen with the other kids?” She snorts dismissively before continuing,
“Sorry, some of these little ones would cut off their own heads if I let them. Anyway, it could be some lunkhead screwed up the wiring, but that’s a pretty big system failure for a simple electrical short. I’d prefer to send in some people with combat training to scout it out, just in case someone or something is sabotaging the ship. If it’s nothing, great, get the power back on if you can. If there’s something suspicious, use your comm units to report in to me. I’ll give you the access codes, so— Selicha! If you touch that panel I will staple you to the hull!”
The screen on the drone cuts out, then flashes to display the ship’s schematics and the passwords for the computers on E-Deck.

Giving a quick nod and standing at attention when the party meets Fitch, Althar listens attentively, then turns to find the fastest way to E-deck. "Consider it done."
Chetna Wavari |
Burning a resolve to also regain SP with a 10m breather.
"Great, we're pest control and saboteurs are the pests." She considers for a moment, "In the event it actually is saboteurs, is anyone good with explosives? Just checking."
Vahni Dahawan |
Before they leave the scene, Vahni calls station security, appraising them of the situation and heavily hinting that they might have information about Bluerise Tower's shenanigans. They also begin setting up the process of inducting Ceren's grandchild as a ward of the Society, as promised.
OxOxO
Vahni openly gawks at both the inside and outside of the Master of Stars, having never seen such a monstrous ship before. They nod along to Fitch's rambling briefing, and ask, "Considering the state the ship's in, if we do end up having to fight something, are there any special precautions we should take?"
Alimony |
"Well, I've met worse with explosives," Alimony responds to Chetna. "Although perhaps that isn't a great idea on the ship. Or did you mean in disarming them?"
"I'll never understand why we ysoki leave kids unattended aboard such fragile things."

"So we get to fix the broken lights and/or break whoever is breaking them in the first place? Don't forget to turn on your armors this time around, what if ventilators or oxygen start malfunctioning on the deck? Let's not have another bridge-like episode." Kentalch says almost joking.
GM Tyranius |
Vahni doesn't seem to get much of an answer from Fitch as the drone's screen goes blank.
The Starfinders are able to use the working lifts and maintenance tunnels to reach E-Deck. The doors on E-Deck are closed and do not automatically open without power, but since the magnetic seals on the doors are also disabled due to the power loss, you are able to force your way through.
As your arrive you find that the E-deck is on complete and total darkness.
Alimony |
"Cool, I'm much better in the former," the ysoki says. With a click, a sheer bubble appears around him as his environmental protections engage.
"Last time I blew something up, it was on purpose. No, I didn't need to fake my own death stop asking questions!" Alimony chuckles quietly all the way to the lift, as if he had told the greatest joke in the known universe.

Using you comm device light the group wanders the deck for nearly an hour before coming across an empty storage room. Scattered barrels and boxes line the lowered floor of this storage chamber. A thick bulkhead to the port side leads farther onto the deck, while a similar bulkhead to the aft connects to an arterial hallway that runs the length of the deck.
This storage room is in a somewhat haphazard state. All the boxes and barrels in the chamber are empty. Though before you turn to go a scrap is heard from behind the barrels, followed by the sounds of increased, heavy breathing as something or someone scuttles into the dark corners behind a pile of barrels.
GM Tyranius |
TRS sees that there are two small human children hiding behind the barrels. Their panic increasing with each passing moment. They look to be siblings as they clutch at each other, huddled low to the ground.

The children, well under eight years old, look up with relief in their eyes as they hear a voice speaking common.
Standing, one of the children introduces them with a shaky voice."I'm Kieu Lan and this is my sister, Kieu Si. Ever since mom vanished with the other Starfinders, dad has to bring us to work. Well, this morning we saw some weird alien. I think we woke it up in the kids area and it came here. It's our new pet!"
Si speaks up, "We ummm.... set a trap for anyone who goes in. Sorry."
Lan responds, "Please. We think our pet ate some wires and that's why the lights went out. We didn't think any adults would come down here. Please don't be mad."
The two children are now near hysterics, alternating between relief at having been found and panic that they are going to be in trouble.
Kentalch |
We need to figure out who's the kids parent... Fitch might want to chew his head off...
"We ain't mad kiddos, do you know where your new pet is right now? Is it hiding? Can you tell us what it looks like? We may have to stop it from eating more wires, you don't want to get your pa' in trouble do ya?"

"No need to worry, we won't hurt you or your pet," Alimony says as he holsters his pistol. "That mistake only brings sad people who hate each other but eventually get married over mutual issues."
Starting to think his tack might not assuage the children's fears, the ysoki changes course. "It's all right, a few wires is nothing and you aren't in the wrong."
GM Tyranius |
Kieu Lan speaks up about the alien as he holds his arms out as wide as they will go. " It was Thiiissss big" he covers his eyes as Alimony's flashlight temporarily blinds the boy. "It had a hundred. No a thousand legs!"
"We found it in the vents in the room right over there."
Athletics to crawl through teh vents to give chase or computers to try and close off all vents but one to coax it out.
A snap of a shorting wire is heard to the west as all of a sudden the gravity in the room reaches uncomfortable levels. The children fall to the deck in displeasure. "What is happening?"
You act as if they had an additional –4 armor check penalty, even if you are not wearing armor. You can use a successful DC 16 Computers check to reset the gravity, or make a ranged attack roll against AC 17 to destroy the artificial gravity module and plunge E-Deck into zero gravity.
Alimony |
I don't got no flashlight! But that red light just started blinking faster. Is that a problem, guys? Guys?
"A thousand legs? That's pretty cool. Maybe it went back into the vents, I think we may need to weed it out," Alimony whistles as his eyes rove about for the creature.
Unused to so much weight on his small frame, the ysoki nearly falls flat. Before anyone starts searching further or takes to the vents, he looks to fix the gravity glitch from his datapad.

Alimony slowly taps away at his datapad as the immense weight crushes down on his body. Soon the gravity is returned to normal within the room and all but one of the vents quickly snap shut. CLANG! CLANG!
CLANG!
After several tense moments a centipede-like alien crawls forth from the darkness at the far end of the next room. Seeing the group it rears back and hisses silently. Numerous legs whirl as it seems wary.
Chetna Wavari |
"Hey, Alimony, can you close that last vent so it doesn't escape back in there?" She looks at the centipede-esque alien trying to figure out what it is.
