Go, verbing noun!

Kemosabe?
Thats a new spin on the yearly soup entries.
I first read that as pain not paint, I was like no not another s&m item.
Go back to the socket you came from!! *Hiss*
Wow. That isn't even the right formatting. How is it you were not culled? It is not even a totally original idea.

I keep running into an item that reminds me of KISS, and not awesome in paint 70's KISS but 80s' day-glo lime green and lavender KISS. How are you still here?

Spinning shields sure are a thing this year.
This item is in the running for the most OP this year.
Named Bullet doesn't only enchant bullets. I may be reading you wrong, but if that's the case, you weren't clear enough!

Ok I don't usually snark, but I gotta say:
Would a PC or NPC actually USE it in a Pathfinder game? Definitely a question some people should have asked themselves.
My item again :-)
Against a so-so item again :-/
I feel the 32 slipping from my fingers. Keeping hope though.
And now a workshopped item ;-)
And better than the opposition by far. Upvoted :-)
And a Keep item vs boring monstrous abilities in a can. Upvoted

Why would you create an armor that enhance the abilities of a class that can't use that type of armor as standard?

I think I just saw the same one as you, Curtisin.
*squints at item* Youu arreee... an imaginative, interesting item that would really throw a combat into chaos in a way that I'd like to play with. In fact, I'm already itching to deploy this as a GM, just to watch my players go 'whaaa?'
That's a good thing.
On the other side of things.... I think your designer is not a native English speaker. Or s/he didn't proofread at all. Both of those are bad things for you in terms of this contest (seriously, people, if English is not your first language, ask for an editor on the boards before you submit! People will be glad to help you out. Heck, I would be glad to help you out.) Also, you've got a few nitpicky formatting errors, and your last sentence weakened the innately cool concept a bit, I admit.
Your competition is perfectly formatted, has a great-if-gross visual, and has been upvoted by me several times for essentially doing everything well enough. But it doesn't spur me to that same slow grin of "aw man I wanna use that."
*places chin on hands* Choices, choices.

Ha! I upvoted 'interesting but flawed' from my previous pair, after reservations, and got item B in my next pairing, against something that's really terribly written, so item B is an easy upvote. Which makes me feel good! It's like I got to upvote both items I liked!

Clearly our tastes differ on this front.

Woah. Now that's how you do an item description. Not sure I'll vote for the item itself, but the description knocked my socks off.
If the spell you mention in your description is not really well-known and you do not describe its effects, you'd better provide me with a link :-/
That is a great innovative concept and it is done rather well, even if it could be a bit more concise. Weak Keep and upvoted ;-P

Roar vs. Roar.
Roar wins.
Despicable item again. Downvoted again :-(
Truth vs Innuendo. Interesting pairing ;-)
At least that other item has a single focus. The soothing candelabra (not an actual item AFAIK) that casts calm emotion as a continuous effect AND fireball once per day does not.
The Raven Black wrote: And a Keep item vs boring monstrous abilities in a can. Upvoted And the same again. Always a pleasure to upvote you :-)
Why would I pay this much for such a niche ability ?
You are no Superstar, but I would like to throw you at my players. Keep :-)
Wow they keep throwing at me items which are similar in type. Thank god the effects are different or Imma flip the table.

Wall of text vs item that is divided up in bite-sized paragraphs. Paragraphs win. (And it was a much better item in other ways, too.)
Fun item that could spice things up in a game. Keep :-)
Why the fascination for writing implements (quills, inks, books) ? It's an adventurer's game, damnit. Not a bookworm's one ;-P
Upvoted but you could have had a far better chance at superstar without that last ability :-/
Why so much expensive consumables? I can't brain...

Referring to other items (or variants) in your item's description actually weakens it :-(
You know that my players will try to add a ton of circumstance bonuses on top of what you already provide, right ?
Same items, different order. Same result.
I think Skynet is not yet ready for beta-testing :-))
And the despicable item again. You do know that I will upvote any post-3rd cull item against you, right ?
And now I have images of underage evildoers abusing this item ;-P
You really dislike Adamantine. Which you should have been made of BTW
Keep item vs Keep item :-/
Going for the most evocative and imaginative :-)

Anthony Adam wrote: The Raven Black wrote: You know that my players will try to add a ton of circumstance bonuses on top of what you already provide, right ? Pull the "bonuses of the same type don't stack" on them :P The bonus type of the item was not circumstance bonus. Also circumstance bonuses can stack depending on the circumstances ;-)
I should likely have written "a mile-high circumstance bonus". More Superstar Critique this way :-))
