Tho morning I'm trying my first Pu Erh tea. It's some brand called Kruidvat from the European bunch my wife won.
It smells *awful*!
Tastes like strong black tea. Not bad, but nothing exceptional. Somewhat more smooth for a tea so dark. I'd drink it again, but man, that smell is terrible. It's like someone dropped a deuce in a tea kettle!

Finally got some more Lapsang Suchong. Worth the wait.
I'd like to try other brands besides Twining sthough, see if there's a higher quality version that may be better. The only other brand I've been able to find is the Baltimore Coffee and Tea house brand, and the people that work there say it's not as good.

I got some of this for Christmas, which was nice. Mine didn't smell as 'back to nature' as TGTG's did, but your pu-erh may vary, of course.

Here is a wonderful thing to discuss over tea...
If knowledge is power...and power corrupts....does that mean knowledge corrupts?
I think the idea that power corrupts is a misunderstanding. Power, like money, and to the same extent, knowledge, simply magnifies whatever you are at your core. If a good man gets more money, power, or knowledge, he uses it for good. If an evil man, the same, but the inverse.
To anyone who thinks they saw someone get money, or power or whatever, and that "they changed", well...no, they didn't. They just had to act a certain way out of necessity because they couldn't afford to be who they really were beneath the surface.

So everyone is a good person or a dick and social status, station, and/or resources allow you to amplify your good or dickisness? There is no changing of a person whatsoever?

Through internal effort, not outside sources. People who blame outside factors for their faults after adulthood are simply shirking their own responsibility. There comes a time where you can no longer blame the world around you for who you are and realize that no, it's not your parents fault or society's fault you are who you are. The outside world can inspire you to change, but only you, yourself, can decide and make it happen, whether for good or evil.
On another note.... This is the handle I use outside of Paizo. Kinda decided to subtly change over here.

In general I agree with you money/power/whatever tends to bring things to the surface...or increase the persons ability to do things.
A good person who wins the lottery can help more people...
A bad person that wins the lottery can hurt more people...

Hey there, tea people! There's an, uh...angry British ghost here to discuss tea with you, I think.

In no particular order:
Soap
Massage oil (still have no idea how that wound up getting in my mouth)
Gasoline (funny story behind that one)
Pure cranberry juice
Some wine my sister's boyfriend's dad made
Straight up marmite
Some eggs I made when I was sick and didn't notice they were bad
Vomit flavored jelly beans
Some brownies I made without realizing the mix had grubs or something in it

I bought some Chinese brick tea, which (apparently) you're supposed to toast, then pulverise, then whisk vigorously while adding boiling water to it. It does taste pretty average unless you toast it, but I didn't bother with the crushing and whisking bit (no mortar & pestle, plus it's a bit too much hassle). Only for the very keen.
