Mao feng Keemun (I think...)

Pretty expensive, but very nice indeed.

Paizo undotted me from my own thread.

Seriously?

Look, I know I've been using the Redbeard alias more but I'm still TGTG.

...even if I'm kinda on a machiato binge of late.

Don't judge me. Double espresso shots rock. I can like both!!

Heresy!

Betrayer!!

I'm cutting down* on the sweet tea, due to doctor's orders. :(

Thai Mix Number One Blend.

It says 'PLEASE DRINK THAI TEA MIX NUMBER ONE BRAND' on the front of the packet, accompanied by a big gold thumbs-up between two sets of laurel wreathes, so who could resist; taste-wise, it's alright - kind of vanilla-y and fairly robust.

This might get weird, so bear with me.

Ted Nugent, realizing his dream, is allowed to hunt in Central Park. He's given six arrows to hunt with. The following people are released into the park. Vince Neil, Lady Gaga, Dennis Hastert, Jameel White (Steve Urkel), Weird Al Yankovic, Toby McGuire, and Tom Cruise. Who does he allow to live, who does he hunt first, and who turns the tables and decides to hunt him, and most importantly, who wins.

Yes, I made up that whole thing as I wrote it. :-)

Weird Al wins. The end.

Ted falls over forwards and shoots himself six times in the bum. The end (II)

All six arrows go into Lady Gaga, to make sure the job is done right. Everyone else holds her still while he fires. Vince Neil invites him to go on tour co-headlining with Motley Crue. Nugent pulls an arrow out of Gaga and aims it at Vince. Begrudgingly, Vince allows Nugent to headline. The world rejoices.

First of all, good ideas everyone, somethings I hadn't even considered, but alas, here's how it unfolds.

Weird Al lures Dennis Hastert into a bear's den, then probably sets up a Twitter account for Lady Gaga, where he then strangles her with his hair.

Meanwhile Ted and Vince team up and leave a couch sitting next to a life sized cut out of Oprah [Initiating high five] an exhausted and bloody Toby McGuire is then no match, and falls quickly. At which point Ted stabs Vince in the chest because there can be only one washed up 80s rocker on reality television.

So, now we're down to Jaleel White and Ted, who is clearly no match for the ninja actor awesomeness of post Urkel Jaleel, the dude is everywhere, but you never notice.

So clearly, Urkel goes all Ice-T on that b@&!#@~ crazy piece of s#*@ and strings him up in some forgotten gorge, or whatever he did at the end of that movie.

[Initiate mic drop]

What happened to Al?

Whatever it is Al would do, I'm quite sure Urkel isn't going to kill him, and once Ted is dead it's all good.

As long as Gaga goes, I'm satisfied. Her only song that isn't vomit was Poker Face, and let's be honest, Cartman did it better on South Park.

Yes Gaga dies every time.

I would also accept Katy Perry for that scenario, with the only exception being, then I have to be the one taking the shot. It's on my bucket list. :-)

So, I've been making a lot of Jamaican herbal infusions my father in law taught me, like merengue and sorrell with ginger. Holy crap that stuff is so sour and good.

Also, um...summer sucks. How's everyone doing?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I hate summertime. Couple warmer temperatures with the rampant humidity in West Tennessee, throw in a dash of Syrus Terrigan, and I think you have a good brew to ferment homicide. I'm half-joking; the impulse is there, but murder is a no-no.

If you noticed my spoilered segment in my morning post over at "Tactics' place", you may understand how much rank suckage I have felt today.

On the brighter side, however, I may get to line up a game session this Saturday to help recover what I had to miss Monday night, so that's a bright spot. Even broke through my "GM R&D Wall" last night to finally start crystallizing what happens next. It *will* be a homebrew AP many of the players are familiar with, but given the particulars of the setting and the limitations of scope such a setting requires, it should be enjoyable for all. My group's pretty easy to please -- let them murderhobo coming and going from "home base", and they're quite genial about all else.

So: scorched, sweaty, sore, seething, and scheming. :)

Rough, but not too bad.

Endless daylight, low mosquito year, and I've landed a better-paying version of the same job I had last summer.

So pretty good.

Well, I'm spending most days sweating like I'm a politician being asked to answer a yes or no question with only one word answers.

I also found out I'm apparently allergic to Bactrim. Not a fun rash. But it's not a fungal infection, which is nice...

I'm ready for sweet tea.

I read somewhere that green tea boosts your head sponge thingy. Or help you access more of that knowledge crap. Or something.

Releases a pair of feral smurf, drunk on tea leaves doused in homemade moonshine.

That should liven up the place bro!

Don't thank me, thank the sheet cake homiepadre!

Green tea's supposed to do all sorts of magic b*ll*cks. It is, apparently, a fat-burner, has all sorts of anti-oxidant properties, etc etc. Someone also told me it was hallucinogenic when I was a teenager; as a result, I tried smoking it.

What happened?

NOTHING.

What a surprise.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

You're using the wrong tea my friend.

I return again to jasmine green tea, and again find it to be disgusting.

The problem with people knowing you like tea is they get you really low quality tea in huge batches for presents, because they don't understand how low price usually doesn't equal "slightly weaker" but rather "filth in liquid form when brewed."

It's like, man, I appreciate the gift, but now I have to force myself to drink this stuff when I would rather drink water, because I don't want to be a jerk and regift it or throw it away.

"Yeah, mom...the...the Christmas themed jumbo box of teas from the mystery company sure was...um...special..."

It's sort of a running gag involving Sheet Cake and Coke being too gross to mix together (too sweet at once) from waaaay back in the thread.

Hm. Something will be forthcoming...

To be fair, energy drinks are gross no matter what you pair it with.

Depends on the energy drink, I think. Arizona and Sobe's energy drinks (the huge 32 oz ones) are pretty tasty, because they're not so concentrated.

But somebody insisted it needed to be caffeine related.

I've found a couple of combinations that were actually palate-pleasing, but I wound up too drunk after the fact to recall what those combinations actually were.

Most recently: Sikkim black tea, which was a bit too sweet and flowery

Then supermarket own brand China/Darjeeling blend, which was much nicer.

Been drinking a lot more tea lately since my job has me working across from a Teavana. I usually get whatever's left over at the end of the day.

Peach green tea is really good.

What do you recommend for a noob tea-drinker with no specific preference or worrisome health issues?
