Slow treatment is better than "f##% off if you don't have enough money" to me...

This.

Re: the NHS, I'm bloody glad we have it, and I very much doubt the alternative would be any better (or cheaper), but it can be slow, especially if you're after something less glamorous, like mental health provision. Having said that, you will get what you want eventually.

Also, despite the fact that it's supposed to be a *National* Health Service, it's split up into regional trusts, and the service you get can vary quite a bit depending on where you are.

Plus the fact that the government keep reorganising it in an effort to make it easier to flog off to Richard Branson or Kaiser Health or whoever, but I think I've said enough.

I'm drinking Sweet Tea today!

What are you up to?

Why do we have a thread about tea without me knowing?
I had an Earl Grey for breakfast. Without sugar. I never put sugar in my infusions.

Rhubarb oolong the last of my supplies too....time to shop!

I got some Lapsang, so I'm drinking that. I am very pleased.

The woman from the Russian shop stopped me in the street and told me they've got some caravan in, so I'll probably go down and get some when I have time, even though it's a bit of a faff to prepare.

I drank some green tea last night. It was...barely bearable, when I put a few tablespoons of sugar and cream in. Not half bad, really. That seems to be the best way to drink tea. :)

I spilled my last green tea by accident. Have to buy more.

Get ready to pounce on poor old pan here, but I think Green tea just plain sucks. Every time someone tells me to try green tea its infused with a ton of flavorings. Flavorings I don't need with classic black tea varieties. Black tea up, flavoring tea down!

Just put lots of cream and sugar in it. You can't tell the difference. :)

Please, please, I can't bear it.

I beg of you, from the bottom of my rotten little soul, not to put cream and sugar in green tea (sugar, OK, if you must, but not cream. No no no no no)

Green tea with flavourings in is rubbish. The stuff I like the best is the plain Chinese gunpowder green tea which comes in massive great packets. As mentioned elsewhere, it seems to be pretty easy to find in Chinese supermarkets.

Green tea by itself is difficult to get exactly right, I think. I love Jasmine tea, which I buy at the asian grocery. It seems to be less fiddly than plain green tea. And I also love matcha, which is also less fiddly, and in my opinion has a better flavor. When I get plain green tea it's hard to get the water temp and brewing time right for optimal flavor. Black tea is more forgiving, cause you just pour boiling water on it and let it sit as long as you like. Except Earl Grey. Earl Grey starts tasting like fruit loops if you leave it steeping longer than five minutes.

Irish Breakfast tea for the mega caffeination this morning.

I got in a small fender bender and was up past 1am waiting for cops to do police report. So...Yeah I'm tired. (Car is okay, just a ding, but we had to file cause other guy was a company car...)

Today, having a breakfast with White Tea.

I like my Green Tea as natural and simple as it can be, but I'm guilty of adding some lemon to it from time to time.

It's Turkish cay for me this morning. I finally found a sort that has some strength to it.

A riddle for thee!

"Oh no! I'm out of black tea! Now I'm going to have to have 'sick people tea'" - The General.

So, what tea would be only fit for consumption when your senses are decimated by being sick?

Hint: Don't try to guess the brand, it seems pretty generic.

Follow up riddle bro!

Who f#&*ed my cake while I was hitting on that chick with the crazy big Adams Apple! Not cool man, dude!!... whoever it was!!

Wait! Hold on Homes! Dude! That was me! Whoa

Probably Yogi Tea, or some sort of herbal concoction.

The type of tea I turn to in those times is called Nyquil. It comes in cherry and green death flavor.

Suit yourself, I prefer relief when I'm ill. Good luck with the tea though.

Funny enough, I just got over a cold and was at Target getting more sweet relief. They had buy 4 bottles get a 5 dollar gift card. My ol lady was like, "no daddy (she calls me daddy) just no."

Dude, 'course. I mean, Futurama is awesome (though I haven't finished the very last season yet...) and one of my favorite shows.

I'm not allowed to open the mail, cap. It's a federal offense.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Fair enough.

Do you find yourself having to pick up letters to Penthouse and/or Santa.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Not so far, no. My route is mostly retirement communities.

What is your favorite things about this thread?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Honestly? The attention. I don't have to go digging through a bunch of threads to have people to talk to about stuff. I've gotten way too lazy of late...

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Do you watch Fargo.

2 people marked this as a favorite.

Nope. I'd give it a shot after I finish all the other shows I need to catch up on, though.

Watch season two, then watch season one so you can see how much the characters that survive from season two let themselves go after twenty years.

Season three is actually on FX at 10 in Wednesday nights right now (I get it from ITunes the next day, I like it so much I actually pay for it).

Do you watch YouTube?

If you do, do you enjoy:
- LPs?
- Science videos?
- Eclectic content?
- Reviews?

... and if so, what specific channels do you like?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I like the look around you series of science videos.

I watch TeamFourStar a lot - I'm a huge fan of DBZ Abridged. I also enjoy Honest Trailers by Screen Junkies, VSauce (science-y stuff), and HISHE.
