As a present, I got to upvote myself for the third time.
=D You're lucky, 700 votes now and still waiting to see my item just once myself - I know some of my pit crew have seen it, it's just playing hide n seek with its creator! >.< I reply to this only to forward it to more eyes.
This is a really good point that I have been to keep in mind.

Santa gave me an early present last night and I finally saw me item. I was able to beathe a sigh of relief and get a good night's sleep.
This staff had such potential but the spell selection was off theme. Too bad.
I can forgive a little alliteration in an item name but rhymes are another monster.
Well, it was still the better of the two.
Terrible formatting versus worse formatting. Both items are uninteresting. The one that remembered all the sections wins the vote.

I'm still waiting for iambic pentameter. Iambic pentameter always deserves an upvote.
Yay! Dedicated at long last. Still not seen my item, but reading other posts I guess that is no bad thing.
Just got the lightsabre. I figured it was a brilliant energy weapon, but no, it's a lightsabre.

Unless the item is epic, in which case dactylic hexameter is the way to go.

Man, this thread has slowed down a bit. Fatigue must be setting in...
I have clearly not seen the lightsaber item, and that somewhat bums me out.
Chris Shaeffer wrote: I'm conflicted. This one is clever and well-written, but it's also pretty gruesome and makes me feel uncomfortable.
Voted for it anyway, but *shudder*. Damn designer, you scary.
Was it one of the Cthulhu mythos inspired items?
I am surprised at the number of chakrams this year. They seem to be a pretty niche item. I have only seen one lance and I was expecting many. And the tech items aren't too shabby, another group I wasn't expecting to see many of.

There is this staff, it may not be Top 32 material, but it has a very fun spell list. Not spells to kill, not spells to enhance, but fun spells that in the hands of a creative player can work wonders. I like you staff!

Is 25 year old scotch an adequate substitute for nog? 'Cuz I have that.

I thought I saw all the Chakrams, but just saw a new one.

Once Boxing Day is out of the way, it will likely pick up again followed by a surge of votes after the first item cull as entrants try to see if their item is still in there.

:) Absolutely, but do not put the scotch in the nog, because what did that scotch ever do to you!? (Yes, someone did that, wth?!)

Me when reading on magic weapons...
"This +1 X.."
[Okay, so its a +x weapon..there's that much in gold accounted for..]
"Can cast three wishes a day and once per day the djinni that casts the wishes can fight for you in a battle or teleport you to the plane of ranch dressing"
[Okay, there's the other 300k. None of it related to powers that actually are representative of being a weapon. Previous wondrous item confirmed.]
So, two new weapons for me. One has a hilarious name that is actually quite clever. The other is ok, though I am not a huge fan the mechanics. Hilarious name, you get me vote, and I'm actually not ashamed of it.
I'm pretty sure you can't make that item out of that material.
*edit* No, I looked it up. I'm absolutely sure you can't make that item out of that material.
Ah, at last, a magical tech item that piques my interest. Very nicely done.

Two items which both do very, very little in uninteresting ways. Flip a coin, I guess.

So far I've seen...everything. As of a few minutes ago, I have examined every item.
For those of you with lots of votes, remember those extra challenges in the Waldo books to find scrolls or certain other arbitrary things in addition to Waldo? I may look through and post some checklists of those kinds of challenges after some rest. For now, here's three of them, of varying difficulties--
Difficulty (Easy): Find six different chakrams.
Difficulty (Medium): Find four different items with filigree.
Difficulty (Hard): Find sixteen different items that are prized by someone.
At least 2 shields which are (or look like) dragon scales :-/
I just put a techno-magical item on my Keep list. I feel dirty
Saw the MtG item. Same name as the card, and same ability :-/
When you use spells from non-Core, especially in the description itself, please mention the book they come from.
Weapon, I love you so much. You could have used the ZZSlot and it would still fit :-)
OK. OK. I upvoted you. Now, please stop appearing in my pairings.
I have found an item that is obviously the bane of RPGSS candidates and quite common too (at least in its cursed form) ;-)
I am becoming a bit bored by the farming implements of death :-/
Are they some oblique reference to the Monty Pythons ?
Not seeing many new items. In that tedious sorting stage now, when I wish the timer was much shorter.
I know the ones I like, though, and always enjoy upvoting them.
I'm in that sweet spot where I see new items fairly often, but with enough repeat items that I do to need to read every description ;-P
mamaursula wrote: WHOOT! I'm a Marathon voter without a life! Another Triple Marathoner Whooot!
Thats a great weapon I realy like it, and the thing it does is neat. unfortunately you explained what it does and didn't use any of the existing game terms that define the things it does.

Are you counting the chackram that begins life as another item and then transforms into a chakram? Or items that could possibly contain or transform into a chakram? If so, the number is higher.
EDIT: "Much beloved by" so close...
