That would be true!

The person below me has been accused of having an accent for a place they have never been, nor do their parents have said accent.

Goblin Squad Member

In a way: I was taught--growing up in Indiana--to spell by the Oxford English Dictionary ("no dictionary in 20 volumes can possibly be wrong"), so my British-English spelling and occasional grammar has driven family, teachers, colleagues, and bosses to distraction for decades.

The person below me has spent far too much time planning his or her PFO character, and is hoping not to be unpleasantly surprised by our available options.

Goblin Squad Member

Absolutely true.

The Person Below Me wears glasses. (Cause I think LD and I have the same pair...)

Scarab Sages

Very true indeed.

The person below me will be low reputation on one of his/her characters.

Goblin Squad Member

True to some extent and only on my second account for testing purposes.

The person below me is a veteran DAoC player.

Grand Lodge Goblin Squad Member

Anyone looking for a guild with lots of play-styles and options... check us out!

I am not a vet DAoC Player...

The person below me can speak fluent Klingon.

Goblin Squad Member

False. Even Klingons can't speak "fluent" Klingon.

The person below me is arachnophobic.

Goblin Squad Member

Darn near it. My line of defense is a cat or my husband. In both cases I need proof it's gone before I can sleep in that room.

The person below me has been to at least two oceans.

Goblin Squad Member

Yep! Been to one ocean in 3 different places, several thousand miles apart!

The person below me loves to travel.

Goblin Squad Member

Ok, I will try my best :) Perhaps if I compare PFO with another successful MMO several hundred times before it launches, I can get it out of my system before hand.

The Empyrean Order is still welcoming all interested players! Crafters and merchants, explorers, fighters, and everything in between. We encourage you to message with questions and stop by if you would like to know more.

We are currently looking to recruit individuals into The Empyrean Order, as well as into our sub-guilds:

Argent Guard - PvE and Escalations focused.
Azure Astra Arcanum - Knowledge and Magical focused.
Explorer's League - Exploration and Recon focused.
Golden Scales Trade Guild - Economy and Crafting focused.
Seraphic Commission - Community, Diplomacy, and Recruitment focused.

Furthermore, The Empyrean Order's Military is also recruiting. The Military is a parallel organization focused on defending TEO and Brighthaven lands, as well as taking offensive actions against enemies.

Finally, we are looking at Sponsored Companies to join Brighthaven. A community where each company, based on merit, has a say in the direction and policies of the settlement.

If you, or your company is interested, you can contact Ixiolander, Alexander Damocles, or myself about joining TEO or Brighthaven.

I've been posting in these forums since March 2012. I joined the first Kickstarter, but not the second, so I didn't vote in the first land rush. I didn't join TEO until this year, about May 2014, after the second land rush was announced. I had read the concept for Brighthaven and I was impressed by Lifedragn's and other members' contributions in these forums. I offered him my support for the second land rush and joined TEO.

Part of my reasoning was that eventually all of us playing in PFO will have to join one company or another. We'll certainly have to join a player settlement. The Neutral Good alignment appealed to me. The idea of creating Brighthaven as a settlement supported by TEO rather than controlled by TEO appealed to me. I like the idea of helping others and having some goal bigger than myself and my "guild" was a big draw.

After I joined TEO was it announced that they won a settlement location based on their showing in the first land rush. While the location they picked wasn't my first choice, it works. I think Goblinworks did a good job of making sure no start location was "bad".

TEO is a large group, but the leadership is responsive and focused. The group size might seem daunting, but TEO will be partitioned into multiple companies. It pretty much has to partition, based on the design of the game, and I expect other large groups will do the same.

The obvious advantage of a large group is that there will be more people to do all of the work of bringing together a settlement. A big group and multiple companies also means more options for players, so there might be a better balance between our individual 'fun' and the settlement's needs - because at the end of the day, it's about having fun in the game.

If you're still sitting on the fence, and your character will be NG or can join a NG company and settlement, seriously consider TEO. Big group. Goals bigger than just a company. Low drama (sorry, I can't promise no drama). Lots of options and opportunities.

Yes! Too bad that footage is old... Sadly, Ryan Reynolds isn't a part of the Deadpool movie creation anymore iirc. Maybe with it's leak and how much attention it is getting will make the movie happen faster. I hope so.

As a kid I use to carry around a bag full of d4 dice. Worked great as a makeshift caltrops. There were a couple of times I got to use them against barefooted friends. Very funny times. :P

So I got into Alpha and I played the last two weekends. I've done some solo and some grouped PvE, and I think the grouped PvE is a blast. Today we (TEO) had two 6-character parties clearing an escalation hex, with another 3-4 non-aligned characters working with us. The groups finished off one escalation then broke up and people fanned out to find another escalation. Then we reassembled and worked at that as well.

It's not as choreographed and practiced as a raid dungeon, but we're practicing and figuring out the game as it develops.

I'd recommend that if you can, get into the Alpha and figure out the UI and the skill system before the game starts for real. I made at least one false start before getting a starting set of skills that I liked. And try the PvE in a group; it's a lot of fun.

If you're not in a company or settlement yet, check out the mountain hexes northeast of Sotter Hill. If you like that, you'll love TEO and Brighthaven: we're bordered by 6 mountain hexes and it's 5 hexes to our closest neighbor, Keeper's Pass - and they're all mountain. We've got woods and plains close by, too, but lots of mountains.

Point of contact info? See the post above :)

Hmm, maybe when gnomes and paladins are available, my paladin gnome will find a home with TEO. Until then, if I can work out how to play well enough in the Early Enrollment, maybe my dwarf rogue (and ranger, when it becomes available) focused explorer will find like-minded fellows in the Explorer's League.

I really do wholeheartedly support the ideals of keeping griefers and those like them at bay. Never stoop to ruining the fun of others just for the sake of it, unless that fun is taken from griefing. Griefing is the fun I'll be happy to ruin.
