There will be a reset after Alpha so no stockpiling will be allowed. From the tone of the dev blogs I think they don't want to delay EE even if they have had some slowdowns to getting alpha up. ...
I agree that I have heard there will be a reset after Alpha. However they can not purge your memory of what you learned: what works; what worked, but is hard; and what you have not managed to make work.

While all over our forums, I wanted to also acknowledge and congratulate Cheatle for being selected to become TEO's Military Steward here. It's a long road ahead, but we're sure you'll whip us into shape!
The following were also selected to be the heads of our sub-guilds running up to EE at which point another election will be taking place.
Argent Guard: htrajan
Golden Scales: Dabole
Explorer's League: Alexander Damocles
Azure Astra: Braxthesage
Seraphic Commission: Ixiolander
Congratulations to everyone and I'm sure if anyone has questions about the various subguilds or an interest in them, we're all happy to help out how we can.

Thank you very much, Ixiolander, over the next couple weeks I will be setting into motion a completely new direction for the TEO military. We have the tools, the initiative, and participation to create a solid foundation going into EE.
Congrats to all of the Sub-Guild leaders! All of you have shown strength and determination, as well as a lot of hard work in getting your promotions.

I joined TEO last week (was in the pre-100 group, mid-90-ish) and wanted to post here as a testimonial for new players looking into joining. I am very happy with the choice and would recommend it if you're interested.
The private forums are active and friendly, the leadership is calm, responsive, and thoughtful (which if you've ever been in a volatile guild situation in other MMOs you know is a huge plus).
If you're like me, you had some of these questions in your decision:
If I join TEO (or the other 2 previous land rush winners), isn't it like throwing away my land-vote? Should I give it to another smaller settlement so it 'counts'?
Totally up to you! Valid concern. If you're interested in a smaller group then there are a lot of options. I believe there are several smaller Companies forming up around the two major areas as of now (as well as all the non-affiliated ones, of course). I don't speak for any company, so I'll leave the descriptions of the regions to the respective Companies.
As far as your vote, evaluate what you want out of the land rush. Is it land you want, or is it a group? If it is a group, your vote still counts regardless of where you put it.
I've looked at the map, but it doesn't mean much to me. What areas are important? Why is one spot better than another?
Beats me man, beats me. The two biggest power areas are South East and North, but it is early still and "biggest power" may mean something a lot different in August. It might be totally different in two weeks. If you feel strongly about a specific hex type then go for that. I'd suggest narrowing down a region if it matters to you, then looking at groups in that region.
How does alignment factor into this?
I've never played D&D so I am only passingly familiar with alignment. I read the blog (https://goblinworks.com/blog/alignment-and-reputation/) and googled Neutral Good as well as a few others. Neutral Good (NG) seems like a pretty good fit for me, so TEO and their settlement Brighthaven fit well. If alignment matters to you (from a purely gameplay perspective, it does) then figure out your most likely alignment and narrow down a group to that type.
In summary, if you're leaning towards a large stable settlement and a great group of people, I urge you to consider TEO. If not TEO, there are other groups in our neck of the woods which also might be a great fit for you as well. I look forward to seeing you in game!

How do you plan on defending brighthaven's territory, if I may ask.
Not trying to pry into military secrets, but are you going to have mountain checkpoints/fortresses, roaming contraband patrols, etc.
Mostly I'm wondering about restrictiveness of movement within your territory and access to your territory, both in terms of by myself and with a group (paramilitary or diplomatic). What are your concerns with such groups? With your territory and foreign bodies within? Anything else pertinent you might add?
thanks.

I have to start hitting the books on religion in the river kingdoms. Anyone got any suggestions?
The comprehensive guide to Golarion religions would be Inner Sea Gods.
For the River Kingdoms specifically you'd want to look at Guide to the River Kingdoms.

Good Day all! I joined at the Second Kickstarter. and have recently bought into Alpha testing. I am pleased that my application to your killed has been approved.
I'm 43, male, married, no kids. I have played WoW, Tera, and Rift. I am a casual player that sucks at PvP. As you can see I know my limitations. I love the crafting and Exploration aspects of MMORPGs. My play time will be some what limited. Looking Forward to playing a Monk, but am aware that I will have to wait. will be playing a Fighter in the mean time.
Love Piazo products especially the new(ish) Rise of the Runelords Card Game. Have played every iteration of D&D since the beginning and love Pathfinder the best.
Again very happy to be on the ground floor of this game

I suspect in reality, what matters after a year is "Us vs Them", not nominal alignment. Two LG settlement could easily wage war for control of an important PoI, or a CN settlement could ally with a LN one.
However, there is a very interesting element of self-selection: Would you rather be on the side of those saying "screw alignment, it's meaningless, let's just game the system and build the best settlement" or those saying "we want to be labeled as a shining beacon(*) of good, even if we have to jump some extra hoops".
(FYI, the answer to that question is self-evident to many, although they may disagree on what the obvious answer is).
(*) beacon, not bacon. Shining bacon of goodness is something else.

Psst! Erastil's Irregulars has back-bacon, for that one-two punch of porky goodness.
EDIT: Note to self: always check that you've sent the message before making tea, or you'll get ninjaed
Canadians are fast, too. No stopping for tea when there's a landrush to be settled.
Cast your vote for Erastil's Irregulars to sponsor a settlement in the landrush!
(edit) Sorry for poaching in your thread, but not very sorry. I have to be a little sorry, though, what with being Canadian and all.
