Hey everyone. It's almost Top 32 reveal time. It is an exciting time! Lots of hope and expectation. Passions run high. Heck, I don't even know the identities of those who made it, so I am excited too!
So, given that state of emotion, I thought I might share a few ideas from my experiences over the prior years.
First, Congrats to everyone who entered! Whether you made it or not, just trying is winning in my book! You should be proud of yourselves.
Second, I made a (soon to be) locked placeholder thread for our traditional "critique my item" thread. Please don't post there yet. Let's let today be about the people who advanced.
Third, there will be a few of you who are miffed that your item didn't make it. As a designer myself, I understand that feeling. Please keep in mind the amazing nature of these boards, their civility and collegiality. Every year, it seems, we have one epic flameout. Don't let that be you. Even if you are upset. Take a day, step away, breathe. There will be time to get feedback. If you are really upset, it might be smart to wait a day or two to post comments. If you didn't make it, please do so with dignity and grace.
Fourth, there were a lot of good items this year and our job was difficult. There were a bunch of items in the keep folder that, but for want of a judge championing them, could have made the cut. So please know as a community my observation is that you are all getting better as designers.
Fifth, and finally, to those who make it--be cool. You will be understandably excited. But the vast majority of people didn't. So while some understandable excitement is obviously in order, now begins your time in the spotlight and how you conduct yourself can impact your success at RPG Superstar. So much like my thoughts for those who didn't make the cut, if you did advance please do so with dignity, grace and humility.
Just a few thoughts. I've been doing this for a couple years now :)

Can I rage incoherently if my item didn't make the cut because of a really dumb mistake that I made?
I suppose you could, though it wouldn't serve much purpose on the boards. Best do it around those who know you well, so you don't alarm anyone.
I'm at that stage where I'm pushing myself to hope for the best while expecting the worst, so my hopes don't fall too far when dashed.

Congrats to all who entered. We either won the round or pushed ourselves as a designer, which by itself is a win.
Thanks to all the judges. It is an honor to have our work reviewed by your collective talent.
And thank you Paizo, without whom we would not have this contest or this fine game.
Three cheers to us all, everyone!

Can't wait for the Top 32 reveal!
HUGE thanks to Clark, Neil, Ryan, and Sean for their countless hours reviewing, critiquing, and fighting over our submissions. It takes a lot of time, dedication, and sacrifice to make this contest everything it is - THANK YOU! RPG Superstar is one of the best things to happen for this game, and we're very lucky for Lisa, Eric, James, and all the awesome people at Paizo for their love of the game. This contest is a lot of fun, as a competitor or voter, and I'm looking forward to seeing all the great entries.
LESS THAN 2 HOURS TO GO!

Whoever said it was 3pm just made me sad.
You all make me sad. The reveal is 11pm here. I could have used it at say 2, 3 or 5.
No really though, back on topic. I'd like to use this slight before the reveal moment to congratulate everyone on being a part of this, whether submitting, making top 32, winning, judging or even just posting positive, interested comment, reading or voting - you're all a part of this, and part of what makes it special and wonderful - enjoy!
Best of luck to everyone, to the 32 (may we see many, excellent items, and may you don't despair over organizations and make awesome organizations everyone of you, so that we'll want to advance not 16, but 32) and finally, most of all an enormous thank you to everyone at Paizo for making this possible, and to each of the judges for making this awesome.
Good luck, and thank you.

The page says "02:00 PM US/Pacific"... unless you're logged in and have specified your time zone in your Messageboard Settings, in which case the display is automatically adjusted for your preferred time zone.
