About Mark Hart
I've been playing RPGs for a long time, and it is a hobby that has brought me in contact with some of the greatest people I've ever met. I'm fortunate to have a fantastic group of fellow gamers, and despite all having jobs, families, spouses, and so forth, we have enjoyed many years of great campaigns.
I am a relative newcomer to the realm of Pathfinder; I picked up the Core Rulebook when it first came out, and have followed Pathfinder's evolution with great interest. A chance encounter with the 2011-2012 Paizo catalog brought me into the Pathfinder system, and it feels like coming home again.
I live in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and work in Iowa City. I'm blessed by a wonderful wife, and three children (all adults now).
My interests include gaming, with heavy emphasis on fantasy. I enjoy a wide variety of movies and TV shows, and an eclectic taste in music.
Like many people who have played adventure games, I tried my hand at writing for the industry. I was fortunate to have the guidance and insight of a wonderful editor at DRAGON magazine at the time, Dave Gross. A did some more recent articles for DRAGON and DUNGEON a few years back, and I want to give a special thanks to Mike McArtor (who sadly left Paizo several years ago).
RPG Superstar is a fantastic contest. I can only guess at the amount of time and effort the judges have invested during the contest's life span, and that sort of passion is part of what make Superstar such a tremendous success.
