Don't forget that this is the exact same mom who came with us on the choir trip a couple of years ago to keep her son safe from his depressive periods, and proceeded to sleep through my phone calls when he finally locked himself in a hotel room while having suicidal thoughts.
Oh, THAT I will never forgive her for.
Obviously I made the right choices and he survived, but having an unprepared, untrained chaperone deal with that ****? For that, I will never forgive her.
EDIT: NobodysHome: Saving lives while nekkid for 32 years! (Seriously. I think I talked down my first suicide call 32 years ago. THAT was a loooong night, too. Hearing from her in the morning was SUCH a relief!)

My favorite story from a friend:
"NobodysHome's idea of cooking vegetables is to show them a pot of warm water, tell them to think warm thoughts, and then serve them."I think any cooked, seedless vegetable would be inedible to my tastes anyway... except root vegetables.
I think we might be as opposed on this fact as I am with Freehold on everything else.
I'm rather picky when it comes to veggies and the ones I will eat without being cooked, fried, or put in some kind of sauce is pretty much exclusively limited to jack and squat.
I can't even stand broccoli unless it has cheese topping or some kind of dressing to dip in.
I love lots of veggetables, but not all veggetables, and I like some cooked, some RAW, and some both.

According to the boss, we go out at 3:30 AM.
During tomorrow's installment we'll learn if PetSmart allows Big (Slow) Pete around mammals yet or if co-worker will follow through with his threat to bury one or more of his salters, or if he'll just poach Big (Slow) Pete and leave me to bury whoever is worse then Big (Slow) Pete.

I do! But the website will just censor them anyway.
So, I'm just going to bark at shadows and then spend a good ten minutes vigorously licking my balls.

Having talked down a suicide attempt once on a phone, I am definitely not looking to call it the first one. One time is enough more than enough.

I'm so proud right now I'm tearing up a little...
Impus Major: Yeah! I totally Saitaima'ed that audition!
NobodysHome: You did great on one thing and terrible on another?
IM: Yeah! I sang, "You'll be a Dentist!" and everybody was saying, "Wow! That's incredible!" and they were just applauding my reading and thought I was awesome. Then I totally bombed the dance audition.
Yes, lisamarlene, they're trying out for Little Shop of Horrors. And Impus Major nailed the dentist, while Impus Minor did very well trying out for Mr. Mushnik.
If they both get in, it'll be amazing...

I appreciate it, but I blame my mother entirely. Hiking 2 miles a day with weight, eating whole grains and leafy greens, stretching, avoiding sugars and fats, fasting every other day?
Curse you, mother, for turning me into you!
On the other hand, her cooking would have driven hyenas to madness, so there are some things I do do better...
I'm trying to cut calories on some days of the week but I really can't get 190 calories last me a whole day. I am trying for double gym/exercise sessions per day, trying to lose weight.

Well, this is fun. I was making coffee, and noticed the trainee fiddling with the computer at the desk with a very confused look on his face. I go to see what's up, and find out that he is running the audit. This wouldn't normally be a problem, but we'd already run the audit tonight. So now he is getting to talk to tech support about getting it fixed. Whee!

Random thought:
So I had a keyboarding class in highschool actually pretty sure elementary and middle school too. They made us just type up documents. I think about it now. Its not as if we weren't going to have an entire lifetime to practice our typing...
I, too, had a keyboarding class in high school. It was an elective, not required. And back then *mumble mumble* years ago home computers weren't quite as common and inexpensive as they are now, so not everyone could get practice with them. I remember that we had a relatively decent computer from a somewhat reputable manufacturer (Gateway 2000, back when they shipped in cow-print boxes. It even came with a small foam cow that I still have.) and it cost around $2000.

Why would he do it twice... I didn't even think one could do it twice.
Well least your making him fix it.

He was confused, but thought he knew what he was doing, so he did it without asking me if he should. And you can do it twice, but it tells you "Hey Stupid, you already did this. Are you sure you want to do it again?". But, hey, it's fixed now, so everything's okay.

I'm pretty sure I've said this before, but I love coming in to work to find out that I'm training someone. At least he's had a few days training with someone else. But, still, some warning would have been nice.
They would always try to stick someone with me for me to train, I would refuse, saying "Isn't that YOUR job?".

They didn't ask. I literally showed up tonight and there was a guy waiting to be trained.

My problem is that my curry base is garlic, onions, and tomatoes stewed into a thick sauce I call "muck" before I start adding seasonings. And tomatoes, having seeds, are verboten.
I could try a different base, but once you get used to working with the acidity of the tomatoes you really get used to it.
But curry is a good idea. And no one in the family would complain...
Wow that strict on the seeds? Bummer. I couldnt live without tomatoes. You could pulp the tomatoes and then put them trough a fine sieve, removing the seeds.
