Yep. Zogonia does have it's moments. :)

Hah, that's one I hadn't seen before.

I only have one book of Zogonia, and I like it. But there are others I like more.
Speaking of, I don't do podcasts, but I discovered that the Adventure Zone podcast was being written and made into graphic novel format. And IT IS FUNNY. They have the first 3 books done so far.
Ima keep buying those as long as they make 'em. Just sayin', :)

I just re watched the Highlander movie the other day. Such a fun movie, so glad they never made any sequels or, like a TV show out of it, or something stupid like that like you'd think they'd have been tempted to do. I mean it'd be easy money, but much like my other favorite movie from the 80s, Ghostbusters, there's only the one movie in existence and nothing to tarnish the legacy . . . although in the case of Ghostbusters, a cartoon would be acceptable I suppose, but that's as far as I'm willing to go. Although I'd prefer if they got the actual stars to voice their own lines, and not, say, the voice of Garfield voicing Peter Venkman or something stupid like that.

We're at the point in the adventure where someone could yell "Hey lady, nice t&*~!" and bring the adventure to a sudden halt :D
<Facepalm> You should really stop giving people ideas. :P
I'm kind of glad that our old buddy Drazek the warlock isn't still around. THAT seems like something he might actually do!
(I'm not saying that Justin wouldn't THINK about it, but he's far less likely to actually DO it than say,... Draz.) ;P

I guess my puzzle attempt fizzled
Nah. More like I suck at puzzles in general! :P
Honestly, the ONE thing I Do NOT miss about 1st Ed. The neverending stream of 'traps and puzzles' books that would come out. Because the traps had no way to actually avoid them back then, (EVERY trap was a TPK waiting to happen) and the puzzles all had to be figured out by the players, because skills didn't exist yet. So if the player couldn't figure it out,... oh well! ;P
At least you give us a chance! :)

A brief discussion on Divinity and their thirst for favors
When talking about value in a Planescape setting, one has to remember that most items of value in a Prime Material setting are somewhat less valuable in a planar setting. As you saw in your interaction with Pando, there are places where the beaches are literally strewn with gemstones. However, out of a need for money the older forms are observed, although specie money acts more like fiat money.
A god or a high-powered entity cares little for wealth, except as a means to an end. Many of them could wish themselves a pile of gold. So, they tend to trade in favors. Favors act like stocks in a way. They tend to increase in value as the giver increases in power. They can also crash and become worthless if the giver dies (although in Planescape death is a flexible concept). They can also serve as an insurance policy. If you hold someone’s favor, you basically don’t have to worry about them attacking you.
Most favors divinities deal with are magically binding. These aren’t the ‘I’ll come over and help you paint you fence’ type of favors. There are usually rituals and contracts to sign. Geas is involved.
Just a heads up - should you agree to give Nekrotheptis a favor.

Thank you!
And, I have to admit, that does make sense.
If you have 'The Midas Touch', for example, what possible need do you have for people giving you gold?!
{I'd like to try and find out! I mean I'd like people to give me gold. But otherwise, ...) ;P

Also, does anyone else find it mildly amusing that the high-Intelligence Chaotic Good character signed the contract immediately, while the average-Intelligence Lawful Evil character was like, "nope." Both responses are in character, it's just kind of funny in meta-game terms. Part of why I like Planescape so much.

Yep, gotta agree.
High intelligence, average Wisdom. (On a good day. Which he hasn't had in a while) ;PI just luv the group itself, teh rules are great but I enjoy how we just do what feels right (or just fun) without regard for whatever alignment we claim to follow at PC generation. :)

I was talking more about Hamar, but Justin counts as well...
Just because characters share an alignment doesn't mean they're going to get along, and the reverse is true for characters of opposing alignment.

Blayze can't. She can make sure her companions come through this alive and try to ensure their success to ensure they make it out of this alive. She can participate by making her actions about her companions, not a deal with an evil entity.

This is pretty much why Hamar did. Well that and the fact that he does not really know the consequences of the act nor does he care.

LOL,
Justin is REALLY hoping he doesn't have to give the GM more free plot hooks, ..., I mean sign (another) contract. ;P
But he will if he has to. But dangit, hes also a 'noble gentleman' and he'll be darned if he asks a lady (even a bada$$ like karrin) to sign a contract that he won't! ;P
I luv character development,... ;)
