Your character knows things you don’t. That’s why we have Knowledge rolls. You put a lot of skill points into them to reflect their intelligence. Use them.

I promise!

(To TRY and remember to roll the vershugina K; skills more often!) ;)

Woot! 'Top o' the page Ma!'
:)

Please bear with me, been a long week

I think you are in good company for that. :)

Hang in there man, Weekend is coming!

Dangit, was writing a LONG post, and I clicked something, and now its gone. :(
And yes, I had saved it up to a certain point, but for some reason my 'Copy' is not 'pasting'. :P

Sigh, I'll re-write it later.

I have found a few memory-spells, (SOme for combat, Not Justins style, but interesting)

the Damnation of Memory is (almost) overkill! ;)
A 400'+ range, and affects ALL in the range?!? 10 minutes per level??? THAT is a potent BArd spell! (Important safety tip, do NOT tick off the bard!) ;)

There is a lesser Wiz version, Sequester Thoughts that works the same way, but is far more limited. But I'm not going to post that Justin thinks of that one unless you say he recalls it. (IT is both unusual enough that I don't consider it 'basic PC knowledge of a spell, AND you give interesting twists to things. Justins going to follow the clue trail you gave him.) ;)

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

He rolled high enough on his K rolls to recall it. That would work - and you could cast it given the scroll.

One final thing - you do not want to let anyone other than Bion friends know about that. The Hardheads take a very dim view of mind Magic’s. In fact, I would say that Justin would know he’d likely have to travel to the Lower Ward to lay hands on that spell

Cool, thx boss :)

I'll try not to linger too long on this, we have some planes to visit after all! :P

(I am currently listening to the book-on-CD of Peace Talks. It makes it hard for me NOT to want to ramble poetic.) ;)

LOL!

Oh great.
I think KArrin has a soft spot for O.L.L.I.

I think a certain Wizard (who shall remain nameless) should probably make it back as fast as he can. WITH a 'cure' for the Modron's 'condition'.

Or the next time Karrin needs a 'demonstration buddy' for a training session, said wizard will likely be 'volunteered' into oblivion. ;P

What K: roll (Local? which of course I dont think he has) ;P
would be used to help Wizzie find this scroll of unpopular magic in Sigil?

:)

I know this is a serious-ish character moment, but all I could think of was this. (Not that being reminded of one of my favorite movies is a bad thing.)

LOL!!!

Thanks Merle. -_-

I think by this point we have proven that Justin can get into trouble ALL by himself. He doesn't need any help!!! ;P

I’m a bad nerd. I don’t recognize the reference

It's a quote from Mystery Men (1999), a criminally-underrated comedy/superhero movie based on characters from Flaming Carrot Comics. One of my favorite movies from when I was a youngster, and it's honestly held up really well.

Sovereign Court

Male hu-man Paladin

Mystery Men is such a great movie.

Sovereign Court

Male hu-man Paladin

Well the good news for Justin is that he has that flight spell so if Karrin breaks both his legs he'll still be able to keep up with everyone.

Whether you hit the bus, or the bus hits you, it still hurts!! ;P

I had forgotten about Mystery men! I only watched it once, but it was very ,... entertaining. :)

I should watch it again,...

Man, The Monkey does great atmosphere. :)

My only criticisms of the film:

1. Even though it's only a seconds-long cameo, it represents one of the first screen appearances of Dane Cook (though this might be canceled out by a seconds-long early cameo by the great Doug Jones in the same scene).

2. Similarly, filmmaker Michael Bay makes a cameo as one of the gang leaders serving Casanova Frankenstein, but it's balanced out in the same scene by an appearance by CeeLo Green and Goodie Mob.

3. The song "All Star" by Smash Mouth was specifically written for the film, and plays during the credits.

Always remember, when you can balance tack hammer on your head, you will head of your foes with a balanced attack.

Shadow's Status

Much as I enjoy the quests, really digging being in Sigil, Pat, love those descriptions of the city as we move through it!

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

It’s my passion, much as Venice snd the vampires seem to be for you

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

I got my main computer working! HUZZAH!

You DO have a gift for Prose, Pat.

The descriptions seem to flow effortlessly for you.

As opposed to another writer-wannabe, (Who shall remain nameless.) for whom the prose is less like 'flows' and is more like, 'being pounded into shape with a large, wordy maul'. ;P

Double-Huzzah! Indeed! :)

Nice Pic and background track! Thanks Pat!

Whatever gets the job done!

It's really hard to read the main thread and not be entertained ;-)

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

I know I am greatly entertained by writing it

Oh yes.
I am greatly entertained by this thread.
(Makes it very hard to continue the journal, I always just get sidetracked by the reading!) ;P

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

I often get sidetracked with all the links I have posted under the campaign info tab.

Soooo,...
I felt like crud all day yesterday, and this morning. So I went to the clinic.

Yep. I has 'The Cuuf' ;P

Gotta isolate for the next 10 days,
But I DO qualify for a 'Antibody Infusion', so I will be getting THAT as soon as they call me back to schedule it! :)

In teh meanwhile, I'll post as long as I feel up to it. :P
I have a feeling this will get worse before it gets better. :(

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Feel better Rags! That crud ain’t good

No.
No it is not good. ;P

SO far it is only a mediocre roller coaster ride. Going through bottles of Day & NyQuil at a rate that is probably not recommended. :P

Honestly, if I didn't KNOW it was 'The C', I would probably just think it was my usual mid/end of summer stress illness and wouldn't be that worried about it.

BUT since I am burdened with knowledge, I am required to take it a little more seriously. ;P

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

I hope all is going well rags

it is. NOW. ;P

Actually I took a bit of a south turn on Tuesday, AND the wife caught it too. (We were hoping she had missed it, no such luck)

So we went to an ER nearby that does full ER (and charges appropriately) but there is no wait for the Antibody Infusions. (Other than in the long line of people there for the same thing!)

So, it took ALL the long, miserable day, but we both got 'Infused' and today I can say that we are both feeling much better! That treatment does work.

So still trying to catch up on all the work stuff, (including an SVOG grant that we just discovered and have a massive short deadline to fulfill) And of course my stamina is cruddy, but I'm trying to be a good employee, AND keep up with my fun stuff! :P

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Well, I’m glad you are feeling better. That’s the important thing

RPG Superstar 2009 Top 16

Hang in there man. Glad you were both able to get the infusions.

Yeah me too!
The infusion stuff DOES work! We can vouch for that!

I again apologize for being a little slow on the uptake with stuff. I think my brain's been cooked from working out in this heat.

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Yeah I feel you. My AC in my car broke :(

UGH! Summer in Lousy-anna with NO AC is the worst!

And heck, with all the heat wave stuff, everywhere else isn't much better!

Hey, before I ramble on in thread, (and bury myself deeper)

Justin has exactly 1,500GP left over from the khasshta haul. Thats it.

I'll be honest, there may be some left over bits from previous side quests, (Pando) But I think we've accounted for most of the 'loose change'. ;P

Other than going all the way back, and begging for change, :P
(And/or my digging through my notes before I started trying to keep GOOD notes. THIS is why I am now trying to keep good notes!) :)

I'm wondering, he deals in spells,
I happen to have few spels that are 'unusual' from those gold-coin-scrolls. Some I have not even copied over yet. (Too high lvl)
Including that W9/C8 'raise all bodies in a large radius' spell. O_o

Any chance Justin thinks he might talk him into accepting spells for the rest of the payment? Or in stead of the coins?

AND if not,
I found my (old, cruddy) notes. ;P

Justin didn't QUITE spend EVERYTHING from their spending spree from the mummy's hoard. Turns out he saved a little, in case of a future emergency purchase. :)

If my math is right (Never promising anything) he can cover it if he cant talk the guy into a trade. But That WILL be the 'Last of the Petty Cash' on the wizard, to mis-quote the OG Ghostbusters! ;P

(I REEELY need to figure out how to keep Justin from getting himself into these things!) ;P

BUT, if I DO figure out how to keep Justin out of trouble,...

WHO would you all pick on/ laugh at then? ;P

KARRIN?!? (I don't think so!) ;)

Shadow's Status

Been really backed up with work since I go back from vacation, will try and post at some point this week.

Thanks for your understanding.

Thx,
Sorry so slow lately, feeling overwhelmed with recovery and work, Mostly work. :P

This Fall was supposed to be 'smooth'. But its all falling apart at the last minute. Too many rules, none official, and all conflicting.
People making me loose my darn mind. :(

Apologies if I vanish for a day or two. I do feel better, but still stuck in this desk chair trying to get work done 8-9 hours a day is draining, 'Recovery' or not! :P
